What are your thoughts on the latest news dropping today?! I'm pumped!
I think you may have talked about it in your last ZR1 trailer video, but I think the metal flakes go hand-in-hand with the lack of blue badging. Blue has become GM’s code for electric. I would guess the metal flakes and all the silver/almost blue shades are a call back to that theme, without deliberately tracing the logo in blue as they have in years past.
I think there are way too many ads in the video. It REALLY distracts from the content. I understand you need to make money but an ad every other minute is insane.
Plot twist: It's actually an EV and that was all pumped-in cabin noise through the speaker system.
I remember when everybody lost their mind over the Lingenfilter Corvette C5 being an 800hp car and it was an aftermarket Corvette, now we’re talking about a stock vet coming out with 800 hp 😍
I predict it's powered by a Nuclear reactor , I mean it's glowing isn't it 🙂
Maybe the metal shavings is the DCT giving up the ghost?.....LOL, just joking and looking forward to what the ZR1 brings to the table.

It is a turbocharged AND supercharged 6.2 liter V8 combined with the Eray’s electric motor for AWD.

Also in the smoke, it was spotted that the "Gemini" logo shows up, which is the code name for the 5.5l lt6. Pretty much confirms its a TT 5.5l flat plane crank. You can see the image on the Corvette forums
Speed Phenom Awesome Video I think the Upcoming ZR1s exhaust sounds pretty awesome and that silhouette of the back end looks pretty awesome and I definitely agree that it would be awesome if they back the ZTK package
Unthinkable to me would be ,turbo, supercharge, and electric.

There’s a rocket logo in the smoke after the rear end passes through the screen with turbos on each side of it. The rocket signifies that’s an LT6 as the ZO6 has the same rocket logos in several spots on the engine. It’s supercharged and turbo charged imo with either some kind of steering enhancement or active aero to help achieve the same thing
The Zora is going to be hybrid and I'll probably wait for that.

Exactly , for the LT7 engine i think it's V8 5.5l with a supercharger for low RPM and big turbocharger which active at 4000RPM , the engine sound will be amazing.
SP. many of the other VLOGERs, have been postulating and opining regarding the meaning of this teaser! Hmmm I think the engine will be TT and a all wheel steering ala GT3 RS.
Lightweight titanium-alloy CPC, less rotating mass? 5.5L DOHC TT Redline 7200? All wheel steering with active aero?
I watched the clip carefully and I saw the Word E-Ray pop up also, could the ZR1 be another Hybrid??
I hope the ztk package be more hardcore than previous c7 zr1. for compete to porsche, ferrari and the others they need so much more aero !!

Tell them to upgrade the abysmal performance of the base model SUV's of the Chevy, gmc and Cadillac Escalade. The 6.2 liter at 420 hp 460 ft-lbs is old performance and should have been updated years ago. Now the base model C8 has 480-495 hp naturally aspirated. That , plus 15 more horsepower should be the power in the base model trucks and SUV's .
It doesn't sound good to me and I'm guessing that's due to turbos muting the exhaust. In total the video does nothing for me. I was just left feeling "meh". It's the same feeling I get about electric cars. They may be fast but they don't stir anything within me. The Z06 sound stirs something in me - it'd be weird for the ZR1 to be less thrilling in that aspect.

This is not forza . It already has TT and it doesn’t need awd.
The promo video is a complete waste of resources. For what is relayed, it need only state that the ZR1 is coming … which is moot because we already knew. The only discernible difference in the shape is the glimpse of a taller rear wing … which we already knew from the C7 has become the signature of the ZR1 in order to differentiate it. It will certainly be twin-turbocharged.

The metal looks more like a powder to me. Maybe they are manufacturing (printing) 3d parts with a powdered super steel? Steels like inconel are used in high performance applications. Think F1 and fighter jets.
It seems like inconel valves and possibly exhaust would be prime candidates for a high performance turbo engine.
