But what we don't want is to be 70 grand in 6mo from now building a new motor and transmission and new axles and a new tune because it didn't hold up. Dyno sheet divas are enthusiast's as well but some of us want to enjoy the driving and not chasing ghosts! LOVE what you guys do and keep up the great work!
NA motor runs out of air pretty quickly. Twin turbo is where all the performance is at!!! The bottom end of a well tuned twin turbo will absolutely smoke any NA motor not to mention the top end! There is no substitute for forced induction via turbos!!!
Revs do not equate to power/torque \. The strongest engines are diesel and they are low revving. I prefer the mello deep bass of the C7 . These things sound like a Kawasaki

Without any accompanying bolt on mods, just "tuning" will likely garner lackluster results. I base this on the results of tuning a stock LT2. Without anything to "tune" for, the factory actually got it right.

Crank stock I have seen as high as 620 so this is probably around 660-670 which is impressive being a 5.5 can’t wait for tuning! 700 rear wheel easy especially with e-85

As far for the z06 what do you recomend before driving the very time like do wait 5 min and wait tempatures ? Would love to get you knowledge on that just bought and would like to make the car have longevity
@chaseself5420 We port the factory TBs while keeping the OD the exact same from factory. By opening up the inside and having a cleaner air stream helps us gain the HP. I hope that helps. I can go more into detail about dynamic airflow but would be a little much for RUclips comments.
Can ported throttle bodies be done with stock tune and factory cars to keep it CA smog legal? Thinking of doing just a cat back and throttle bodies. Maybe HFC in the future
The EPA has cracked down on some of those mods recently. A catalytic converter delete can run afoul of laws and land LMR in some pretty expensive trouble. They can still do it, but they have to be more certain that the car will only be used off of public roads.

Well that settles it for my question of is there any real power gains to be made N/A bolt on LT6, that’s impressive 60 hp gain from an intake and hi Flo cats, be interesting to see what headers, head porting and cams could do. By the way, is that 60 hp gain at the wheels or crank?
@@jjRaider I know, my point was this being the 730 package that what it makes crank. From there you can figure out whp. Also not sure what mods don't matter means. You do a quality intake and exhaust, you will make gains.
@@nighthawk0077 ok if you take a cold air intake system that still uses a MAF sensor and has the same diameter as the factor intake, you will not pick up that much power if any at all with without tunning. High flow cats will pick up a little being less restrictive. This is where they should have shown a stock baseline pull and the stage 1 pull to find how much did it actually gain.
@@jjRaider I agree Dyno pulls and showing results would have been ideal. As far as I know all bolt on intake systems still utilize the factory maf sensor. They are less restrictive, either somewhat leaning out the A/F mixture, or in systems that are able to auto compensate, increase fuel flow. I would assume the stock Chevy intake on an engine like this is already quite free flowing.

You want reliability you keep it stock. I dumped 60k into my first c8 sure it made 800whp but it melted down on the track.
I applaud GM for developing a high revving, high strung N/A motor in this day and age. N/A motors of this nature are truly an art form!

Just saw my first Z06 About a week ago in person and the rear tire look like a set of dually wheels and they sound amazing
i saw a couple a few months ago and luckily got them on my camera. looks and sound are immaculate
America needs more flat-plane v8 cars. That sound is amazing and I prefer it over the typical muscle car exhaust note.

From what I heard from gm , the 5.5 liter isn't meant to be charged. The higher rpms makes it subject to problems or failure.

How bad is the glare from red dipped interior? I've heard the dual solar TBs & Eventuri make midrange awesome.
It's pretty bad but can be mitigated with polarized shades.
Do a 60-130 pull. Should be easy 6 second range if it’s 730hp.

It needs Radiator guards. Even on just on street driven car, you can tell how many miles the Z06 has by amount of dings on the front radiator.
