I don’t know the transformers relevance but I do know Stan Bush is an AOR legend. Love his work.
The relevance is that this song was the song used in the Transformers animated movie of the 1980's in the final scene of the movie when the autobot HotRod takes up the Matrix of Leadership and becomes the new leader of the autobots Rodimus Prime who then opens the the Matrix of Leadership unleashing its power to defeat the two main antagonists of the movie Unicron and Galvatron (who used to be Megatron, leader of the Decepticons). So for most Transformers fans this song will always be a part of the Transformers franchise.
