YES, actually Abyss is the fake Teyvat. The forbidden knowledge is bad or good depending on the person using it. I think Gold belongs to Materialism(Ousia) and the primordial one belongs to idealism (external, Pneuma, or something,...). For some reason, I think one of the Phanes shades betrayed him/her for giving the forbidden knowledge to someone (maybe Nibelung, Nabu Malikata,....) Human must have their own freedom, and develop their knowledge not believing in Visions

And not believing in abyssal power/forbidden knowledge too. If only they really can depend on themselves and their intellegence alone. Their problem most of time is desperation, want fast route to solve problem, and lack of energy source. That happen again and again in teyvat. It’s actually not far from what happen irl, many technology that end up bring destruction to our world. It may solve a problem by the time the technology found, but the future is at risk because of that too.

Id like to note that i think melusines have abyssas power or something like that ,because elynas is literally an abyssal being(which melusines are born from him), and abyssal beings see the world opposite of "normal" people. Things that are sweet to non abyssal beings, look like nightmares to abyssal beings and vice versa, so when a melusine sees us as a monster and paimon as a rainbow balloon, i think its the opposite of the truth/or what we would actually see. meaning, paimon could actually be semi evil and we fight her at the end, and my hate for her is actually justified hehe

10:34 the possibility of the twins being from teyvat (or at least having some sort of connection to it instead of being the complete outsiders the game would lead us to believe) seems more and more possible. in (spoilers incoming) the narzissenkreuz adventure team quest (idk if i spelled that right), when you talk to mary ann, she asks what sort of flowers grow in the traveler's homeland. i picked lumine as the traveler, and lumine said "the flowers that i wear in my hair." but aren't those flowers the inteyvats? the ones native to khaenriah? i'm curious to know what aether's reply to this question is. if anyone knows, please let me know :D

I felt Fontaine had the easiest lore to understand so far; I just wish they hadn't decided to do the "dissolving" thing but it feels very much Fontaine local and I suspect hasn't been a thing for very long in time either. So more comparable with stories like "how do we end Inazuma's civil war?" or "how do we rescue the Dendro Archon from baby jail?" than "what's up with Enkanopmiya?" or "what's up with Eleazar?" which feel more broadly applicable and I'd say the equivalent in Fontaine is the world formula stuff.

    • @iamsyncx

I mean more of the lore we got overall rather than the maim Fontaine storyline. Like Remus & what it may mean from the Primordial One, or the implications of Abyss lectors coming from places other than the Abyss Order (which may explain the one we saw in the chasm).

When you said it like that, I am beginning to think Teyvat is Halfway Submerged in The Sea of Quanta, also mean half of Teyvat is dead - The Abyss and to prevent a full destruction, Primordial One did something to separate it which related to the Fake Sky and Stars. Then, The Twin are like Polar Twin/Gemini Twin - One is Evil & One is Good. Which mean, Lumine is avoiding Aether because Chaos/Calamity is Clinging to her (I am saying this cause they are afterall the survivor of their dead homeland). She probably didn't want her brother to suffer but Aether doesn't understand why. So he is trying to understand Lumine's action by going on a journey like she did. They will be united again when he understand why Lumine did so. That's how I think it is. Your theory is very interesting.

If I’m remembering correctly, the direct chinese translation of what Zhongli said in his story quest was “the sea of stars”. They said they used to gaze at the sky and point to the planets they wished to visit, but that could have worked in the same way people look at the moon and wish to visit. It also seems like they both have an odd familiarity with the Abyss given Aether knowing what it’s power is (Perilous Trails Quest Dialogue) and Lumine somehow wielding it. And Rhinedotter’s abyssal creations also came from “universal darkness”, along with Elynas saying the Abyss lector had the power of the “cold dark cosmos”.

It sounds like Lumine actually wielded the power of the Abyss before coming in contact with the sinner, as far back as Khanreiah. That’s why Clothar said he never thought she’d be the one to deny the power of the Abyss, and also why he said whoever controls the Abyss can control everything before saying she failed them (presumably). But even if she had not had the power in Khanreiah, it’s never actually shown that the sinner had power flow towards her or actual effected her in any way.

  • @reveriesend4668
    @reveriesend4668 Год назад +2

hmm... I mean there are as many holes as there will be to any attempt to refute, mainly bcs we are still missing key stuff.
My idea actually comes to be a bit like... the Irminsul is a way to... "identify the variables" that are souls for every being in Tevyat. It's the one working as a chain that governs the cycle a soul goes through in life and death.
But Irminsul is just one aspect of fate, which is the aspect that governs memories and higher consciousness. You can say that it's the "logos" in Genshin. It's a database, so to speak.
The actual physical tie to humans in Tevyat are actually the "trees" of a civilization, and this can take any form of trees. Some time after the destruction of the 1st civilization (of the current Tevyat), Ishtaroth, being the only one who can move around since she's tied to time and her seelie race was in total time and dimensional chaos, tried to send a bunch of "Irminsul-like" seeds across the pockets of civilization. I don't know her true motive in doing this (I have a number of speculation) but these trees that each civ tries to build is the one that actually allows the boon of Irminsul to take form in physical world. You can say that it's the one that allows abundance and leads to destruction. These trees are also the "tying seal" that allows the conceptual leyline to take form in real life, as such provide life. Furthermore: it simply allows life to take form and grow.
The "Notable parts" section of the wikia page of Irminsul lists a number of these trees as "parts" of Irminsul, when in reality they actually sit in counterpart to Irminsul as equal beings. These are seeds that were settled to signify the start of a civilization (kinda like an obelisk). A tree that has the blue light of a primeval energy suggest that it has powers over the leylines and thus the physical form of Irminsul (since Irminsul is a form of "imaginary tree". don't mistaken that with HI3rd imaginary tree, btw.)
So far out of all 4 civs which trees we have found, only Mondstadt doesn't have such blue light, although it has a statue of seven in front of it, suggesting that it's controlled from there. There's also one "exception" that is Tsurumi Island, Ruu's Island. But the happenstance of that tree is different that the rest that it actually broke the Irminsul law (thanks to its power being given by the collection of memories in Ruu, instead).
As for dying white trees found cross ruins of civilizations all across Tevyat, those were the attempts of those civilizations to be justified in existence by Irminsul. You can see it as: "they're trying to find a way to get back to the source code" or sort of speak. Example: Studying the tales of Sal Vindagnyr give me the idea that what the "high priest" had wanted was actually a proof of mercy from Celestia, as they thought they did nothing wrong and just got nailed. Obviously that never happened and they died. Thousands of years later, the tree came back to life by the power of the abyss, via Durin's blood. This seemed to be a knowledge the hero Imunlaukr figured, too, as he actually travelled to the abyss to find a way to revive the tree. The time dilation made him return too late.
Now, why does the tree of existence matter, possibly more than Irminsul itself? It's because it's the actual one that actually give chance to life. And one does not necessarily need to be registered in Irminsul to be born, grow, thrive, and then die in Tevyat. Orobashi seemed to have tried to replicate this idea by the power of the Shinrou Casket (Veluriyam Mirage) and the "pearl that comes with it". Looks like she knew when she came back up from Enkanomiya, not only she would be punished by Celestia, her people will suffer from it. She tried to replicate the whole creation of the world using the Shinrou Casket and the pearl. While this was successful in getting the leylines to run and take form, it failed to bring life. The people of Watatsumi referred this as "her shedded skin was not enough nutrition in land to start a life". Maybe that was true, but maybe the true reason why they couldn't farm much was because Watatsumi never had a "tree of fate".
Note that I'm only noting 2 set of trees here. The "tree of fate" governs physicalization (as such, the control of light and dark to take form), and the "tree of destiny" Irminsul that governs soul.
If "the wind that blows the seed" are time and its inherent value of changes, and then something else holds light and dark separate in the mircrocosm of the world "the sustainer of heavenly principles", I suspect:
    - There might be a tree in Celestia, and this is tied to the unknown god
    - and there might be another "world tree"-like being that represents Istaroth. Possibly.... in the abyss. Or maybe in Khaenri'ah (which is just next to the abyss).

Ok, here is something that I think:
    1. Remember that the traveler can purify corruption/abyss (Dvalin tear).
    2. The melusins originated from an abyss creature.
    3. What if Canotila sees the traveler as a monster because they can purify the abyss?
    4. He will swallow the world to purify, and it will reset/stop the world formula, becoming a place with all leaving beings without destruction or a new beginning like Pierre said in the trailer.

Please don’t quote me because I’m not really sure what Dain’s power is and I’m just guessing but maybe celestial with Abyssal power. I’m also thinking Dainsleif is one of the 4 Desanders. It never made since to me why the abyssal twin thought Dain could take on 7 Archons and win, not with his power alone and why would dain need to go through Teyvat if he was already from Teyvat. Gonna copy and paste my comment from Ashikai's latest video because by the time I reached the end of this one I realized that at least some of what was said here could almost directly be connected to what was said in it. This is more of a disorganized brain dump so there are going to be inconsistencies, but maybe someone here will find something of use or interest in it:
[ reply context: the truth seeing melusine and the rifthounds]
I had a crackhead theory idea come to mind along these lines while watching the video too.
So there's the Melusines' clear ties to abyssal stuff, and they see Teyvat through a different lens. It appears to be a sorta weird hybrid lens though because they see both Teyvat native stuff and stuff born from the abyss and Elynas as cute so I don't think it's quite a pure abyssal lens.
During the Caribert quest we saw Caribert saw Teyvat normally, but he had a freak out once he realized he was a monster, and an even bigger freak out once he took off the mask. He was also unique among hilichurls, being the only one we saw that had remaining human consciousness. So what if he was seeing Teyvat through one perspective, but the moment he took off his mask his perspective was shifted and he was horrified? Or more like he was wearing a blindfold and the horrific view was revealed to him.
What's more is we see how abyssal energy of various kinds mutates, transforms, infects, distorts, taints, or otherwise alters Teyvat stuff. We've also been introduced to forbidden knowledge that drove people crazy. What if forbidden knowledge drove people crazy by shifting their perspective to be more in line with the abyss's and peoples' minds can't comprehend, fathom, or cope with it so they break? This lines up with that horror movie analogy from the video of people in a decrepit place seeing a vision of food and eating it, only to find it is filth and rot. It also lines up with what Nahida said about waking sleep walkers & why she couldn't tell us about the samsara and we had to figure it out ourselves. Being exposed to abyssal energy & having your perspective shifted so suddenly and violently must be very jarring and scarring.
It also lines up with the theory about Teyvat being (at least) 2 realities superimposed on one another, and only those who can see from a specific perspective (Melusines, Lectors/Heralds?) can see one reality or another. The superimposed reality theory can also tie in with the sky is fake, Teyvat is upside down, abyss is the real Teyvat, and Teyvat is a samsara type of theories and it works especially well when taking into account the shifted perspective idea. Things get really interesting once you take into account the twin.
The twin in We Will Be Reunited tells us to find the truth of this world, so maybe they're already seeing it from that shifted perspective. But there's even weirder things about the twin: we know that Irminsul for some reason thinks they're part of Teyvat and not a descender. If you look at the Sumeru samsara story we see that Dunyarzad had a fake representation of her within the dream to keep up appearances & consistency for the participants. What if the twin wasn't sent to Teyvat like the traveler was, and what we're seeing is a mere illusion or representation of the traveler, which would make them a much more natural part of Teyvat? I'm not so sure about that last point, but it's an interesting idea to entertain that could tie in a lose thread.
However with the idea of them not being sent to Teyvat, but rather Teyvat's mirror/twin reality, we know they have abyssal connections already. We see them in a place with a red sky and red moon that appears to be Khaenri'ah during the cataclysm. We see several structures that are upside down that have been closely related to Khaenri'ahn/Abyss Order activities. We see multiple Khaenri'ahns with abyssal looking powers. Khaenri'ah is a part of Teyvat, but they were acting outside the purview of the gods so maybe they attempted to or managed to bridge the gap with the superimposed reality.
It gets a lot harder to make logical connections at this point because contradictions start forming, but I feel like it'd be very revealing if/when a Melusine meets & comments on the twin or a Khaenri'ahn citizen. We also know that the apparent history of Teyvat can be altered through Irminsul so there's another potential connection point with the superimposed reality, Khaenri'ah's activities, the cataclysm, the Abyss Order, and the twin.
There's also the connection with Fontaine's story revolving around sin, the upside down primordial water, the upside down fountain in the Chasm that soothes abyss related creatures, polar opposite of the melting of Fontainian citizens, and the Sinner who apparently predates even the Abyss Order.
I'm kinda running out of gas here, but I wanted to get this hodgepodge of ideas out in case anyone could make heads or tails out of them and find some use or relevance in them.

For context on the connections I saw: the superimposed realities vs the samsara-esque cycle, Khaenri'ah's connection to outside of Teyvat vs desired connection, shifted perspectives of abyss & Teyvat vs abyssal knowledge being enlightening, too enlightening.

Remuria Kingdom was made by Remus King with help of Ancient One (Ancient One is leader of Tevyat before Primodial one/The First Descender Came to Tevyat)
And did you know different from Dragonspine and Khaenriah who were destroyed by Celestia's nail. Remuria was destroyed by the Abyss
The story is when Remus heard prophecy about Remuria destroyed He panicking and do many things, but what He do was not a solution, and the Dragon Scylla try to stop him, after that Remus King realized He was wrong, but i was too late because Scylla already considered a traitor, and sealed, after Scylla sealed, Abyss' plans became more mature and finally Remuria was destroyed at the same time Scylla was sealed. From this Lore we know that even before Primodial one Came, Abyss already made a mess and i don't think they considered as good one from this Remuria lore
And from Elynas story' we know that Abyss was like poison to other creature, because their curse can injure another person without touching them
