If the god stole powers from outlanders, could it be that while we were sleeping, paimon travelled and that she, after hearing our story noticed the similarities and decided to help by her experience from the past 500 years traveller was asleep? And she almost drowned because of travelling for so long? She seems to also eat a lot like she didnt eat proper things. But the possibilities you mentioned are also similar . She seems to also have the same portal design of unknown god in her character design, due to her small figure, she may also be the youngest of the 3 sisters, or more childish one. We know that in Teyvat they can make gods (or at least they attempted it), and we know lifelike puppets like Scara and the Shogun exist. Paimon has been likened to Benben and a "balloon" which are inanimate objects. Yes, she was likened to fairies as well. But also to emergency food; another inanimate object. And in Genshin, if you "eat" a god you absorb their powers. So Paimon could be a god but maybe an artificial one, perhaps even containing the consciousness of the true moon goddess that is no more. My guess is she was made by the sisters. For what reason? I have no idea, but currently, she's aiding the Traveler on their journey to...well, goodhood presumably. And by figuratively "eating" Paimon the Traveler could be granted the powers of the "original gods" which would allow them to rewrite fate.

No she is not a moon sister. The game is riddled with "jokes" about Paimon being a monster. And she loves to eat slimes there is no sense in a moon sister secretly loving to eat slimes. Hoyo has other plans for dear Paimon. They would not depict one of the moon sister in this manner. They would not have made a loud obnoxious floating fairy that is going to eat the entire world. They are going out of their way to show Paimons appetite for specific creatures in Theyvat, and no that is not just to be cute it has story relevance I am 90 percent sure of that. Specially when it's hinted that slimes is were elemental energy comes from . I have a theory Ei mentions that some kind of monster was present in Khaenri'ah during the event quest or she says "IT". Now this is not the first time "IT" has been mentioned in game, Dainsleif talks about this when he is surprised that Halfdan can resist the curse. That is probably the real reason why Makoto died, and why the archons were summoned to enter there. I also think the Melusine we encounter in Fontaine sees the truth about Paimon interestingly enough they call her Big-Sis. She thinks she is seeing the travellers fate but now I think she saw Paimons "a monster that is going to devour this world" was her exact words.

Great video! You know the more we learn, the more the mystery deepens. So far, when talking about Aether (Traveler), I keep gaining more questions and likely scenarios then answering older ones. I now have now increased my theories on how Aether lost his power from 2 to 3. As more and more, its seemingly like Lumine (Abyss sibling) might have never lost their original power. 1.) The Sustainer stripped Aether of his power to use for some purpose. 2.) Nahida somehow has misinformation and Aether is the 3rd Descender that had their power torn away by the 1st and 2nd Descenders. And left for dead, possibly. 3.) Dain's siblings stole Aether's power. Heck, if the last one is possible, than its even plausible that Khaenri'ah as whole is the 2nd Descender; with maybe King Irmin as the main Descendeer with his people with him. HoYo is really cooking a good story.

I feel the Abyss Twin just shrugged their way though the conversation with their sibling. It felt nonchalant and disrespectful. Their discussion wasn’t even worthy of a memory wipe. You got a weak justification from the Abyss twin why they are working with the murder cult, and Traveler didn’t bother asking anything a normal person would ask their sibling when they haven’t seen each other in years. Throw in the fight Dain had offscreen, and then that stupid photo -like wtf? That photo felt like a contrived attempt at making the Abyss Twin sympathetic. And we as the Traveler are supposed to be okay with the Abyss Twin hurting whoever because the ends justify the means? No thanks. Just disappointed overall. I hope Natlan is better.
