Hello my friend, there is a very little water loss in the fiat linea 1.3 multijet car. But this water deficiency is not visible. The engine oil is not mixed in water, but I could not find the fault, could it be leaking from here? Once I saw gray smoke from the back at high speed, that's it.
Hi mate, I've got a coolant leak coming from somewhere on my 2017 TDi 184bhp Scirocco CUWA engine. I mostly do motorway miles and its 100,000 mile car now. More recently I'm not really driving over 65mph. As for temperatures I'm not really sure what is high, but normally on the motorway it would be sitting just below 100deg. Recently if I hover around 80 90 100 it can creep up to 105-110 deg. If that means anything I'm not sure. So, over the period of a year and a bit now I’m noticing my coolant dropping frequently. I've changed the cap in the bottle in case of it's not holding pressure but that doesn't make any difference. It still holds some pressure. There were times where I was struggled to get the engine to start on the first turn of the key. Hasn't been doing it as much recently. Thought it might have been the starter motor related. Do you think coolant entering the engine can cause struggle to start the engine? I've taken it to a few different garages now and they can't trace where the leak is coming from. I'm not sure how thoroughly it's been checked but I can't say nothing without knowing for certain. I've been advised it could be a leak from the EGR cooler or the Intake Cooler, but no one can tell me for sure which. They can't visibly see any leaks. I don't want to spend the money without knowing that it will 100% fix it. More recently the turbo seems to have an actuation failure on it. I've had it booked in now for a refurbishment. So, I also asked for inspection on the turbo to check for any leaks but nothing was found. I'm wondering whether an EGR failure can be related to the turbo actuator failure. I would imagine the soot build up would be related to the EGR system. What do you think?
Sounds like you’ve had a nightmare with this but with coolant leaks without physically being able to inspect things then it would be incredibly difficult to give you the right answer, the most common issues on these engines are water pump/egr cooler/ charge air cooler.
Hello! I have a similar problem with my Insignia. 160.000km without any leak all mentenance done right egr cleaned ... new DPF sensors and all even improvements and solved problems, why did that happened at your car? What is the solution? Thank you!
@@TheVWMechanic_officialive not done something like this no, im more of a motorbike man than car, but this started 2 weeks ago and its not funny with the smell plus im losing coolant and topping up after 4 days now. thing is im working in Switzerland at the moment not back home in blighty and nobody will give me a part number to order a part and they are wanting ALOT for the pat and work

Hey buddy without me being able to diagnose it correctly it could literally be going anywhere
@@TheVWMechanic_official the top cover gasket is good but I can't find the problem, where should we look?

How easy are these coolers to replace without a workshop ramp….also as a quick fix do you think you could weld up the spindle?
Not to bad on the floor matey just a bit of a squeeze
In general I understand that coolant can leak from egr coolers. Is there a chance the leaking coolant can enter engine?
Potentially buddy yeah it can also leak internally on the charge air cooler which is your inlet manifold on the newer style 2.0 diesels
Cheers, trying to understand the system and how the cooling system works around EGR.
Is it leaking coolant or engine oil?
It’s leaking exhaust gases

Just the egr valve failing on this car there was no preventative maintenance that could be done to avoid this happening
@@TheVWMechanic_official Thank you!
Your absolutely welcome 🤗
i have this issue i think on a 2007 2.0 TDCI Ford S max,
is it an easy replacement or a pain in the ass
It’s a bit involved if you’ve not done owt like this before then I wouldn’t say it was a DIY job
