lol sorry, Only just seen this comment. The reason for wear is usually bearing out of adjustment. Unfortunately some of the LR hubs have an end float rather than a preload which allows the bearing to turn on the shaft on occasion. Regular maintenance reduces this wear.

Hi , I've just rebuilt my front axle on my 1988 90. On the bronze bush that's pressed into the stub axle I'm having issues with the new cv going through it . It seem 2mm too small. Thanks for any advice .
I have the same issue.. New stub axle, its the seal you have used is wrong. I am actually going to replace my CV joint because for me the Stub axle is the right one, so is the seal, but the CV joint is off a older vehicle

Sir why stub axle has diffeerent steps that is that up and down

And does the mud shield actually keep mud away from the hub seal or just rocks.
Also, is the seal just inside the axle from the stub axle replaceable?
the position of the new hub seal you installed is in the same position as it was before?
