That’s a game changer for the owner. I tested an 800 nk advanced here in the Uk. Throughly impressed by the bike, you can read fault codes and clear them too. I wish cfmoto success as they are providing bikes people have longed for and don’t get from established manufacturers
CF Moto is going to eat all the competitors! As a engineer I don't have good experience with Chinese manufacturing, however every now and then some companies absolutely nails their products eg. DJI! I never thought I am going to say this, but where is my debit card, need to get one! :)
But think about downside .... IMy frient have Motorola that after update lost it BT it was wide case.... Even sony making updates that was kill some cameras .. Later expensive repairs was needed.

@@davidz8 same our units in the Philippines doesn't come with tbox stock, there's a retrifit in the cfmoto app though but looks like it's not working. so I'll ask around where I can avail it somehow.
I picked my UK bike up the other day, I entered the VIN number into the App and hey presto it found the bike straight away, although we do not have a software update at the moment I can definitely do one when it comes out as I have access to the OTA section of the App. It is incredible, if I touch the bike slightly without the ignition on I get a vibration alert message from the bike within a couple of seconds, I can see where the bike is, how much fuel is is in it, battery condition, it is brilliant.
This bike keeps delivering Bazz. I liked what I see in your video. To upgrade the software and improve the performance was something you didn't have to go to a Dealer, that I liked. Very impressed thus far Bazz. 👍😊
As a new rider, this was very truobling, I adjusted the play in the throttle cables and it did help, but the jerky sensation was still present, thank you , mine has a t- box, seems easy, good day here from Mexico, adios!

It has been a long time since I have actually been excited for a new bike. (unless suzuki makes a new drz) This is such a big feature that much more expensive bikes do not have (dealer required updates for BMW) we live in a great time
Gday Bazz with the vibration/ trigger alert whilst working on your bike just simply turn off alert or change sensertivity on your cfmoto app or Bluetooth 👍 l know it gets anouying l had the 800 mt which l loved but sold to buy mt450 aswell bloody love it having more fun than all my previous heavy so called middle weight bikes😉. Gee, thanks for that Bazz. I didn't even know this was working here. The dealer mentioned something about it not working here or was that just the mapping, not sure now. Anyway great stuff. I too found the slower traffic riding on/off throttle a real chore with the jerky - ness. Thanks again.
@wowfish-ob3ew I found I was always clutching it in slow traffic , they probably had it tuned so lean to meet emissions control. Now the app upgrade is like jetting electronically.
Hi Bazz , thanks for this as I was thinking of ordering one in the UK . Only problem is dealers can't get enough of them ! I've been told Feb 2025 if you order now (July 2024) ! WOW. Feb 2025 that's insane. Where do you live? I bought mine directly from Foshan in China and they shipped it by sea freight to me in Madagascar. It is bound to arrive by the end of this month. If I were to wait for the local dealer, who haven't sold a single unit of this yet, then I may have been waiting till late 2025 lol.

First half dozen sold straight away , next batch is allocated and the 3rd batch won't be here till about Feb 2025 ! Crazy cos their selling like hot cakes in Indonesia . Must be all going there ? I don't really ride in the UK rain during the winter so almost happy to wait until early 2025.
Dealer visits were protected. Simple things like remapping were just not made available. The funny part is the nonsense some dealers have been telling us, about the complexity of things.
Looks like an awesome feature! The only thing that worries me is what Cfmoto does with your data. Best case - they only use it to improve the software. Some Chinese companies have been known to sell your data to other companies.
@SimonWessel-multi8it my data has been shared by several Australian companies already. If they use the information to improve and not destroy, I'm ok with that.
Fantastic I am pretty sure it won’t pass emission anymore but I don’t care new engines run ridiculously lean and I think fuel must be turned off completely on overrun that’s why everything has slipper clutches.
😀🦄 I would have to take my Pan America to the dealer for an upgrade like that and then the very limited updates I can make from home on the thing requires downloading the update onto a USB stick first and then plugging it into the bike. While things from the USA may well be bigger they are not better. I'll be doing the software update on my 450MT 2moro. Thks
IF this bike came from Hamamatsu there would be queues of potential owners outside dealers. Japan is well asleep at the wheel. This bike will eat into T7 sales for sure
@@bazz6670 Sorry but I can't agree with you. If it followed the appalling reliability and build quality of all the recent KTM 790/890 twins I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. I feel that CFMOto is onto a winner and even in this short period, I am not reading of all the niggling faults of the early 790s.
Nice vid, unfortunately there should be a disclaimer - doesn't work in all countries as it needs the T-box that is I believe already included in the NZ and China release, but not some other countries (like us in the Philippines). Would've been great to just ota update ours instead of having to bring it to the dealer

G'day Baz, great reporting on this bike mate. Wonder if if they will ever offer a map that gives more mid range and top end like the SR 450 that shares the same engine but has more power. If it was an option I'm sure many would go for it.
you want sonething like the panigale v4 map for a multistrada v4.....i think is impossibile turn a mt450 as sr450...are two different kind of bike imho

@Gmac237 Thanks I'm glad the video helped. 15 tooth front sprocket and now the upgrade really helps. The throttle lock cost me $26 off ebay and actually works quite well.
Thanks Bazz I love the use of modern technology that allows you to tune your bike via the internet. CF Moto dealers are few and far between here in Tassie so it saves a lot of time and money! I hope I'm not keeping you up too late sleep well 💤😴

Hey there Bazz! I dont have the Tbox, but since a couple of days ago my throttle does seem a lot smoother. I wonder if the bike updated itself using the wifi (inside the bike's menus you also have an update option, which, in theory, would bypass the need of even having the app, let alone the tbox). My question for you is: What firmware/software version are you running now? Mine is SW.1.00.23 (you can see this in the bike's dashboard menus, in the "about" section)
Sorry for late reply, Tyres are going great, loving the off-road traction now. I would like to try the Daul venture front Tyre next time, i feel the Desert HT is a little squirmy on the road but should get better with wear.

Well, basically, the T_Box allows communication from the app to your bike, I hope it works for you guys, great idea if it does. Cheers and thanks for the comment. Hi Bazz, can you confirm if your update is now V2.0.17 ? I have only this morning connected to the bike for the first time and it already says I have the latest version. So it didn't ask me to update and did not take any time at all. All the other bike information came up and I'm impressed enough with what it has. But the Big Brother is watching you vibes are there ! @iliasco unfortunately not all countries have the Tbox fitted. People tell me they need to go to the dealer for an update, which sucks. Thanks for commenting. Someone did mention they are buying an after-market T_Box .not sure where from.
@ajlongworth69 I think for me it is the ideal bike, a mix of hwy and dirt is what I like doing and the bike does it well. A few mods like tyres and sprocket to start with. Build quality is good and motor is so smooth. The motor has been in other models for some time now.
@@bazz6670 you have put rear tyre always /70 or /80 ? i use in mine /80 and for me in perfect i mean it has just a little longest the final gear, btw in italy not yet ota update😢
@zaphyrfpv6671 I just fitted Tyre the way the rotation arrow points. It seems pretty good. Don't know why they didn't do world wide update, hopefully you get it soon .yes I did notice the bigger tyres dropped rpm a tiny bit. It leans on the stand more.

@@bazz6670i am well aware of that Fact Baz which is why i only ever have the 'phone' switched on when i need to use it; when its off the thing is never anywhere near me; if i take it with me anywhere, it is never on and inside an EMF proof bag; being that the CFmoto's can be accessed wirelessly, my choice to opt out of 'the system' or switch it off is not available; is there a faraday cover listed as an option for the CFmoto to protect it from a spyware/malware attack? a faraday cover for the ECU? is the wireless connection inside the ECU or the Dash display?; imagine going for a ride one day and the bike stops for no reason; you check your always with you, switched on phone app to find the problem; seems you forgot to pay a parking fine so 'the system shut down your bike until you pay the fine; it advises that you have insufficient funds in your bank to pay the fine and you need to rectify the issue immediately to use your bike... let the insults begin...i know, i'm a crazy conspiracy theorist tin foil hat wearing nut job; each to their own but i don't consent to being tracked by devices and bombarded with harmful EMF's such as those emitted by mobile phones... let alone a motorcycle i'm meant to be having care-free fun on.

Did my update a week or so ago, its much better in the traffic on low speeds.

@Rowan-i7c Hey thanks mate, the sr has been tuned for more top end power where the 450 has mid range. I guess you could retune or change ecu.

there is a bug with the vibration alert, it still goes off when disabled and set to dull sensitivity

Hey Bazz, I'm getting the sign in screen up, email address, etc but once I get to confirm the CONFIRM button after entering my details the button is still grey. I can't confirm. What am I doing wrong?
@strikemasters1 bugger I'm not sure what's going on there, I done the app a while ago now and can't quite remember sorry. Can you try to google it to see if anyone else had a problem.

Would you mind sharing the software version your bike is now running?

Can you also reset the service interval with it?

Have you noticed any changes in the consumption after update?What is your average consumption?

does it alao have stalling issue? my 450mt is notorious to it, intermittent engine dying on slow speed and downshift.
G'day mate, do you turn on wifi or hot spot on your phone for the update.
You just need good internet signal on your phone , sorry for late reply.

@iliasco unfortunately not all countries have the Tbox fitted. People tell me they need to go to the dealer for an update, which sucks. Thanks for commenting. Someone did mention they are buying an after-market T_Box .not sure where from.

@ajlongworth69 I think for me it is the ideal bike, a mix of hwy and dirt is what I like doing and the bike does it well. A few mods like tyres and sprocket to start with. Build quality is good and motor is so smooth. The motor has been in other models for some time now.
@@bazz6670 you have put rear tyre always /70 or /80 ? i use in mine /80 and for me in perfect i mean it has just a little longest the final gear, btw in italy not yet ota update😢
@zaphyrfpv6671 I just fitted Tyre the way the rotation arrow points. It seems pretty good. Don't know why they didn't do world wide update, hopefully you get it soon .yes I did notice the bigger tyres dropped rpm a tiny bit. It leans on the stand more.

so none of you have any issue with your bike telling 'someone' somewhere where you have been and where you are going? next will be an 'update' to tell you what you had for lunch and what time you need to stop to take a dump; if your bike can be 'updated' by the internet, it can be switched off by the internet....i'm glad i didn't buy one now; good bye cruel world i'm off to join the circus.

@@bazz6670i am well aware of that Fact Baz which is why i only ever have the 'phone' switched on when i need to use it; when its off the thing is never anywhere near me; if i take it with me anywhere, it is never on and inside an EMF proof bag;
being that the CFmoto's can be accessed wirelessly, my choice to opt out of 'the system' or switch it off is not available;
is there a faraday cover listed as an option for the CFmoto to protect it from a spyware/malware attack? a faraday cover for the ECU? is the wireless connection inside the ECU or the Dash display?;
imagine going for a ride one day and the bike stops for no reason; you check your always with you, switched on phone app to find the problem; seems you forgot to pay a parking fine so 'the system shut down your bike until you pay the fine; it advises that you have insufficient funds in your bank to pay the fine and you need to rectify the issue immediately to use your bike...
let the insults begin...i know, i'm a crazy conspiracy theorist tin foil hat wearing nut job;
each to their own but i don't consent to being tracked by devices and bombarded with harmful EMF's such as those emitted by mobile phones... let alone a motorcycle i'm meant to be having care-free fun on.

Euro bikes don't come with tbox... Unfortunently. I would pay extra for that.
