I am a backer of this KCM set, and received my package last month. It took me about 3-5 hours to set it up and made it work with my N4 Pro. Most of the setup spent on reconfiguring printer.cfg, macro for start print, end print and xyz offset then many testing. Although the print quality is great but it is not for everyone because of the lack of instruction on how to reconfig your printer, which make sense and understandable as each printer has its own unique property and component. I have to do many trial and error, and luckily I haven't crash my bed plate yet. If you have a creality machines, you are in luck. There are already some pre-config files on their github, but dont expect every printers.
In summary, if you are long time klipper users and dont mind to fine tune printer configure yourself, you should be fine with this KCM set, and it prints really good. It is so good that I bought a second set for my SV08, and can't wait for shipping.

Good to see they’re making progress. I had a nice chat with Omer at CES in January. It’s less easy than most people think to scale up a product at a Chinese contract manufacturer. Sounds like they were able to navigate through that.

As a backer, in its current state it is not quite ready for mainstream IMO, and that's because it needs better instructions. I have 2 of the kits, each with 8 extruders. I've had my stuff since 11/14, but yet to have it going yet on either of my machines. The instructions have not been clear, and it has not been a simple plug in play. First I had to root both of my machines, and installing Openneptune4 hasn't be nearly as straight forward as my rooting my K1 Max. If you are new to Klipper and 3D printing, this is not for you. It has been a total PITA setting up on my end. At the moment, It's only a Universal multi-material setup if you know what you're doing.

Im a backer of this and have yet to get it to work i will say all the parts are solid and well engineered but trying to get this to work on anything but a creality machine is a nightmare, this is not a beginner frindly tool dont expect to plug this in and have working multicolour, at the moment you need a high level knowledge of klipper and 3d printers in general as you may need to flash your emmc or you might have to solder some pins on your boards ,all the instruction of for creality machines so they dont help. however what i will say is from the discord the peaple who have evently got this to work have said print quality is great, and once all these issues are fixed i can see the major brands making there own compatible heads for this, so you can just get the emc and extruders to add more colours down the line yes i belive it has that mush potentail (well i did back it), i will say again if your a beginner that want plug and play stay clear ,if you like to tinker with thing then this could be for you

I appreciate the effort, but unfortunately, it’s still a very expensive system. Especially compared to the recently released multi-color printers, it doesn’t seem to stand much of a chance. Yes, it works much faster than those, but it’s just too expensive. Particularly with Bambu’s new printer, I believe we’ll see a system that works quickly and with significantly less waste (perhaps none at all). So, it seems like this impressive work doesn’t have much of a future.
