Hi! I’m so glad I found you. Your videos are much better than the others. You talk, yet show us what you are talking about and you don’t ramble on. Haha I like your style and suggestions. Thanks!
Lazy Susans saved us! My hubby is the family chef for the 2 of us. I am the family 'organizer' and love The Container Store! On one of their white wire stacking shelves I put his coffee maker with coffee and filters and out George Foreman grill underneath. To the left I put a square 2-shelf kitchen cabinet white wire organizer. On the top shelf I put a plastic lazy Susan. In the lazy Susan I put an assortment of round gift tins (like cookies come in) and a couple of smaller glass beer mugs. All our cooking cutlery is stored in the containers on this lazy Susan. On the middle shelf are 2 long rectangular plastic containers his tea bags. Underneath that unit, we store the grease catcher for our Foreman grill and a bottle of honey on it's side. We have a tiny kitchen with 3 doors - but he loves to cook. There is a makeshift counter-height cabinet (inherited from Granny) that we use in the center of our kitchen as our 'island. on one corner of this island I put a 2-tier lazy Susan. Top rack has jars of spices that I use when I microwave stuff - I don't cook. And our tall pepper mill is in the center. On the bottom shelf are some spice jars that I use less often. The main spice jars that my hubby uses are on 2-tier lazy Susan on the bottom shelf of the cabinet over the stove. The top shelf has 3-tier 'stadium' racks for our least used spice jars. We uses 4 lazy susans - one on each of the small shelves attached to the outside of our 2 kitchen cabinets near the window. FOr our dry pantry grains we use a set of Tupperware containers I bought when my sister hosted Tupperware parties. I love those assorted containers - it was an expensive purchase - but I love the clean modular look in that cabinet. By the way when we moved in, we removed 95% of the doors and cabinet doors in our house....
Your presentation is amazing. You don't spoil your beautiful, soft voice with background music. You get to the point and your videos remain interesting till the end. Thank you so much
Just an idea- With your pantry & the plastic bins. If you lifted the bin up & closer to the shelf above it, add a strip of wood on left & right side of cabinet that would be placed approximately an inch under the shelf above. (The wood strip would be snug on the plastic tote under the top lip of tote container to make it a drawer & then you can put a shorter in height tote under it. To use the dead space) OR if you can find the right size tote with a lip, then keep the big totes on the shelf & create the same pullout with a shorter bin on top of each tote... So each shelf would have a big bin & a short bin, the top one would be held up & off of the lower bin on the wood strips you add to the cabinet.
Just perfect for the new gig I got! Going to organize this Doctor home, she just lost control for the past 3 years and now she hired me to help her to organize. Will tell you how it goes.
The oxo containers ARE the BEST, for another reason. We live in a rural area, lots of trees, lots of grrrrr ***ants**** grrrrr. Jars are great but I have trouble gripping and opening them. The little button on top of the oxo pieces is soo easy to tap on to open and tap back on to seal up again. The green pest guys who help us always marvel how our sugar canisters are never invaded, especially the sugar ones. Thank you for all your great practical tips!
Never felt I had space, now that I see the beauty of universal food storage I feel so happy. And my heart feels lighter. I already display my serving dishes as “Art”.
Our rental has a kitchen suited for folks who eat mostly out or tv dinners. But we cook every meal! So scarce counter space is taken up by cannisters. Scarcer cabinet space is for storing things that need to not accumulate dust! My tip: reconsider how you really eat, cook and your goals. We use a linen closet which is too small for linens for our spices. A little cluttered but it works for now. Next goal, finding a better place to live!
Very true!! When I meet with a new client, I ask them.... show me where you prep food, where you eat, are you left/right handed. All of those things matter in where you place things.
Oh, my goodness! I loved the idea of using flat, plastic bins as "drawers" on shelves. What an inexpensive (and washable!) way to give access to the back of pantry or cabinet shelves. Plus it would prevent things from getting knocked to the floor when rummaging around among smaller jars or cans. I think I might add horizontal wooden runners to the sides of the shelf just above the height of the "drawers" to keep them from falling forward when pulled out (e.g. by a child).
We had a 4 drawer plastic storage tower and when the frame got broken (yep, I confess, it was down to me!) I saved the plastic drawers and now they are in use in my deep pantry. I adjusted the shelves so that each one was just tall enough to fit in one drawer and each drawer has one type of foodstuff (like with like, as the lady says!).
I recycle Fisher peanut containers they are square they are most likely thrown away but I can put things in them and write on the lid what is in it and store it on its side and stack them 3 high this way tripling my pantry space! Its amazing. (You'll see I made this comment on the main comment page also)
Honestly, I’m running low on money, and am so glad that you brought the coke box idea out! I’m not too broke for my cokes and have boxes now and contact paper! Now off to craft!
My struggle is my kitchen pantry. I tell my husband that it had to be a man who designed the kitchen😳. My panty is the size of a very small coat closet. After watching your video I got some clear bins, put all the likes together and labeled everything. I absolutely love it!!! I watched your second video on adding additional shelves. That’s my next project🤗
Hey y'all I have seen some of these and I absolutely love them... Here's a few ideas that might help those on a budget.... If u need something for serving spoons and spatulas an wire whisk and don't have the drawer space or command hooks cover an old coffee can with contact paper and place it on the counter top for ur spoons and things... Reuse the lid as a counter top spoon rest by covering it in contact paper and adding a dollar tree cutting board
I live in a poorly designed mobile home, wherr we maybe have 4 sq ft of counter space between 3 counters. We have 4 usable cabinets, one of which is the skinny type described in the video. We bough a tall cabinet with a drawer, and it doubled our counter space, but we haven't been using it as prep space due to disorganization. You can get canvas bins at Dollar Tree. I put spices I don't use often in one, baking in another, and the spices I use regularly in a plastic tray, so I don't have to pull out the bin except a couple times a week. With this, I condensed 4 cabinets and 2 milk crates (what we were using for a pantry) down to one cabinet. I put heavy items, like canned or jarred goods, bulk oils, condiments, and juices in a bottom cabinet, eliminating about half of my milk crates. I put ramen packets in a smaller canvas bin on their sides (not flat), and they fit perfectly in 2 rows. We don't eat ramen often, so regular dried pastas go on top. Next to that are drink mixes, nuts, and breakfast bars with a little extra space if I pick up baked goods for a small treat. This eliminated 2 milk crates. The other shelf is cereals, rice, and baby food. The 18 oz boxes won't fit on that shelf, so I repackaged in Ziploc baggies. When I can get more grain pour containers, they fit great in that space and I can still mix the cereals I like. This eliminated 3 milk crates. Then, I moved all of my cookware into the separate cabinet. The drawer on this cabinet is large enough to accommodate all of our knives, silverware, and straws in drawer organizers, and manual kitchen gadgets like canning tongs or can openers that don't fit in the size I bought. The other drawer in the kitchen is for cutting boards, the rolling pin, and restaurant condiment packets in drawer organizers. The rest if my dishes, small-medium appliances, and food storage containers I was able to condense down to only 10 milk crates, on a coffee table (that we were just gonna throw out) where we don't have to sit to see/get what we're looking for. And there's still enough room on the coffee table for the toddlers (1&3) to help with meals/color/play while my spouse and I are kitchening.
My favorite dry food storage jars are canning jars. They are sturdy and efficient. They appeal to me as a decoration, too. I love the colors of dry beans, the different rice and varieties of grain: Oatmeal, whole wheat flour, white flour, all beans, dried peppers, etc.. Thanks Norine.
I love the command strip/chip clip idea! It also gave me another idea. Dollar tree has over the door hangers with small hooks on them, and you could use them with clips as well! I'm so glad I found you.
awesome video and tips:) in the past few years, we have not used the pantry for food storage at all...since the cabinets are filled with daily use groceries anyway, we just put the dishes (glass, ceramic and stainless steel) inside the pantry and organised the groceries in the cabinets...daily use items on the top cabinets and new ones on the bottom cabinets...one cabinet is dedicated to mixie jars, chopper, etc close to a wall with outlet...I hand wash dishes right away and use the dishwasher to store oven trays, pans etc:)
I just saw this video and I love it. I would love to do this idea in my household, but I have a husband who just would go baserk with this layout even though he has OCD about wiping down a kitchen. He would never put things back when he was done with them (Like the chips for snacks). I am usually the one who has to put it away in the cabinet. He has his own way of organizing and when I organize he gets things disorganized again and I have a tough time looking for things I want to use. He would go nuts if I put baskets in my cabinets. But watching these videos are very inspirational.
I've yet to find a solution when other family members don't agree or help maintain systems. I am so sorry :( If you ever figure it out - you will be able to help SO MANY other people! 💙
I love glass to store. I have that same system, and finally I can find everything. Don't like to store flour too tightly, as it needs to breath. Learnt that from a bread maker. Enjoyed the video
Love your tips as always. I have no pantry, just not enough cupboard space. I most liked the command hooks on the doors, magazine holders for potatoes and onions and the boxes for the cans.
In my daughters kitchen, there is no pantry. She and her hubby converted a bedroom dresser draw cabinet. It’s low enough to put things on top and there are different sized drawers. She has like items for each drawer. I like that idea. Edit: The cabinet is the same width as the refrigerator.
I like using the pantry door ideas. I think I can utilise a couple together. I'm already using containers for like items, but the bigger containers are a better idea
I recycle Fisher peanut containers they are square they are most likely thrown away but I can put things in them and write on the lid what is in it and store it on its side and stack them 3 high this way tripling my pantry space! Its amazing.
Oh my goodness, I just Googled what you were talking about and discovered that the large size of my favorite peanuts (Planter's dry-roasted) also come in a squared-off jar. It never occurred to me to reuse these plastic jars but the lids really are large and easy to take on/off and easy to label. THANK YOU for encouraging me to over-consume peanuts. Ha-ha...just kidding. But seriously, what a good idea. ;0)
Thank you for the awesome video. There are so many ideas. I like the magazine racks for potatoes and onions. I love the command strips ideas, the large bins and labeling everything. Thank you again!!💕💕
Here's a cheap way to get pull out bins in your pantry: keep an eye out at thrift stores or Facebook marketplace for dressers for sale cheap. The part of the pull outs that are most pricey are the drawer slides, so find a dresser that has slides that are in good repair. The wood boxes are easy to make, even if you don't really do wood work. Just measure carefully your cabinet dimensions, you can even get the guy at Lowes to cut the pieces for you. (Or if you're really lucky, that dresser you picked up will already have drawers that are a good size!)
Favorite is the bins for the pantry. I have a deep pantry it was here when we purchased the house. I covered the racks with foam board and bought some bins at DT but your see through bins look so much better. I like the bins because I don't over purchase groceries & it makes the pantry neater. Tfs, you are always an inspiration!!! Love your enthusiasm too.
Thank you for sharing . I love the pictures you showed . My fav tips was your own pantry pull out bins you had and I liked the tip of clipping the opened packets and securing on wall with command hooks. 👍🏻💛
I love what you showed starting at around 3:53 with the dollar store dish bins and racks to create pull-outs and utilizing vertical space. I snapped a pic and am going to get what I need next time I'm at Dollar Tree. Thanx!
My favorite ideas are the dish pans from Dollar Tree, and the pull out bins for deep cabinets. I did a smaller version of the dish pans using shoe boxes from DT, for under my bathroom sink. Also, my mom has very deep bottom cabinets in her kitchen (and got tired of almost standing on her head to see what was in them) and a deep pantry cabinet. We put pull out bins in the cabinets and most of the pantry. The tallest shelf in the pantry is used for specialty items that get used only once or twice a year.
This has nothing to do with this video...but I best thing I have taken away from your organizing tips is… Pull everything out.. look at everything and then decide what you need to organize things with. Brilliant
We use the Systema containers for absolutely everything. They have what they call Baking sets, which come with measuring cups in each container, sandwich and lunch storage, and everything in between. They are reasonably priced, and in the 10 years I have been using them, I have never had one wear out. Systema is based in New Zealand, are "Phthalate & BPA Free" and are normally available on most Amazon platforms. Happy storing!
My pantry is wide and deep, so yes, some items, like cans and jars can get lost in the back. But for dry goods storage--pasta, rice, flour, etc.--I use Tupperware modular containers that nest and mix 'n' match in various stacking configurations. Need something behind? Easy to pull out the entire front stack, and reach the set behind. Chips and other bagged snacks also go in Tupperware; they always went stale with the chip clips. As far as using the door; I can't. My pantry is a cabinet, not a large closet, and the doors close right up against the shelves with barely 2 inches to spare. Back in 2007 we remodeled the entire kitchen, so it's pretty custom. We couldn't afford the pull-outs for the main pantry, but we do have one of those narrow shelves where the whole unit pulls out. I use that for the most frequently used items; canned veggies and fruits; oil and vinegar, and miscellaneous things like olives, pimentoes, canned chilies, etc. A serendipitous bonus was, the first pantry cabinet (floor-to-ceiling) arrived damaged, so the company sent us another. My late husband, being a woodworker, cut down the damaged cabinet to just 3 inches deep, cut down the shelving to match, and mounted it with its back against the side of the main pantry. It looks fabulous, giving a more finished look to where it shows from the rest of the house, than just the plain side of a cupboard. What is its purpose? I bet I'm the only one, or one of precious few, to have a floor-to-ceiling spice cabinet! ;-) Love your command hooks/baskets idea for under the sink, though; that area is my Waterloo! ;-)
I went to look at the OXO containers on Amazon. I also noticed another set by Chef's Path Airtight Food storage containers. A bit less expensive and they come with chalkboard labels and marker pen. I like the idea of clear containes so I can see what's in them. Thanks for all the great ideas. Command strips are so handy.
Beware.... that's what I did. I spent money on a 'less expensive set'. There were great in the beginning. Now they are decorative. Not why I bought them. :(
I have no kitchen pantry or cabinets. The only cabinets are 3 above the sink 3 below sink. Being disabled i have to have my washer dryer freezer fridge stove in my bald kitchen. So its cluttered. I did get a metal shelf and used those dollar tree spice shelf to organize my spices and a couple lazy susans in the cabinets. I got a basket set and a can rack for the metal shelf. It helps. I love your videos! They are real ppl inspired. So many of these organizer ytbers are so boujji it make me wanna puke.
I have a small pantry with wire shelves, then i have a large cupboard with deep shelves. I am forever looking in both. Your idea about like items is great. I try to keep can goods on the solid shelves and the wire shelves get what ever is left over. Thanks for the ideas.
In our apt we struggle with hight. My boyfriend is 6', I'm 5'2”, & my daughter is 4'. I tried grouping like items with like items but that didn't work because not everything was where everyone could see it. Now I have things organized mostly by who's looking for them. I have a baker's rack for my daughter & her quick breakfast options like oatmeal & pop tarts. I have chips on the highest shelf because that's what my boyfriend reaches for.
Great video...love the soft clothing 3 drawer organizer at the end of the video...my tip: I LOVE my island...I found putting most everything in bins helped tremendously...keeps my light bulbs corralled....my keto food supplies corralled...I even went so far to put my electric skillet in a bin...which sits on a shelf in the island....I used to HATE trying to find anything in my kitchen island...but with everything contained....so much easier....the pan lids are contained....the plastic containers are contained....so much better....also, I found different colored bins...instant recall...in a covered cabinet...why not?(also, lightbulbs in the island may not work for everyone ...but it does for us....most of our light usage is close to this area.)
My daughter has a deep pantry... She got one of those tiered stands and uses it for canned goods. Then she bought a rectangular container that she stores packaged mixes
Thank you for the video. I have no pantry and only one closet in the whole house. I struggle with many storage things. Also have a corner cabinet that is difficult to ,an age. Hoping. For more inspiration by watching your videos !
@@TheCraftyOrganizer I agree concerning children :) I'm a granny. No little hands. Our house is a very old country cottage. The 8' x 8' kitchen had no cabinets. Only a large closet that had shelves. Husband took off the door, lined it with tongue and groove wood and replaced the shelves. He put in electricity and a counter top for using crock pot and electric grill and put in 3 rows off basket drawers (9 drawers) with wood fronts under counter. He put a real butcher block top on a large base cabinet against a wall that has 2 utensil drawers and 2 shelved cabinets. Coffee station and mixer are there. He built open shelves above. This is my only work space for preparing meals and these shelves hold my jars of ingredients. They aren't in the pantry. A wall cabinet holds our dishes. It's been a challenge and hard to resist creating a cluttered looking room. It's so small. Organizing is so important.
My very little kitchen cabinets has all drawers on the lower cabinets. I do not have overheads, I keep my plates and glasses in the drawers. I use the boxes as dispensers for canned goods.
I dream of having a proper kitchen with cabinets and a pantry. Most everything is stored on wire racks in the basement. My house is over 100 years old and very small. I'm stuck, but I can still dream. I do love bins. I've been little by little buying Rubbermaid stacking canisters with the clamp on lids. I love how they stack, seal well, and are see through. For cans the best things I ever purchased are "Pantry Maid" can organizers. They are made of wood. They come in 12 or 16 inch depths, and cans roll from the top front to the bottom front, new in old out. I love them. They are expensive because they are not mass produced. Why someone hasn't bought out the person's idea and mass produced them is beyond me. They really are nice. What I need most of all is motivation. The clutter I have is overwhelming and my husband is a saboteur.
My problem is I put potatoes in a bin in the cupboard and then forget about them until they are rotten, soft, or sprouting so I really like the mesh magazine holder idea that I can put right on the counter top, thanks for your advice
I just ordered a carton of large cereal containers of different sizes from Dollar Tree.com I will be emptying my cereals, and other such items into these containers and using Chalk labels to identify. I saw this on "Till Vacuum Do Us Part" and it looked great and would work great and now I am trying to decide which canned goods method I SHOULD implement.
Love my OXO containers! I started using things like them when I lived in a house and had small furry visitors every spring and fall! I love the idea of the drawer units . I have some smaller ones that have outlived their usefulness in the craft room, might save them for the pantry and/or the broom closet. Will definitely keep this in mind. Thank you!
I have several of the clear storage containers from Walmart for dry goods. The problem I have with them is if I drop one or it falls they crack or break. I do have plans to remove the wire shelves from my pantry and replacing with wood to give me more space. I may use some of these ideas to organize.
I'm thinking I like the shoe bag to hang over the pantry door...will have to think things through...wish I would have found this channel a few years earlier!
Oh, wow, they are all great. But those "like with likes" idea is the best for me. I am getting a new kitchen by the end of Oct., so excited! All my base cabinets will have pull out drawers, no pantry though so those bins will be a lifesaver for me. Thanks so much. I am going to get everything organized with this kitchen including the drawers thanks to you.
I was thinking when you pulled out the plastic storage bin with canned food and you pulled up the can of corn, it would be nice to have reusable labels to place on top of the cans so you know exactly what you're pulling out., like for instance if you wanted to do some crafty labels, use either button magnets or magnetic tape, make your labels using cardstock or paper, after getting it as decorative or artsy as you like either laminate or tape both sides using postal tape, packaging tape, trim the tape leaving about an 1/8 inch or so overhang to water proof both sides of it and glue your magnet to the bottom and stick it on top of your can. That way you know what it is. Thank you Norrine for sharing your good ideas, don't know if anyone thought of this before me or not, if so please let me know, thanks again and have a blessed day 🥰
Norrine you are simply the most awesome organizer! I loved this video. I have a corner cabinet that has a large lazy susan that is probably 8 feet tall. It is so so hard to organize. The sides have little funny shelves that are like triangles. The top three shelves of the lazy susan are open and the bottom shelves of the lazy susan are made into 1/4 shelves. At the bottom of my cabinet I have about 10 inches of open space underneath the lazy susan . Talk about awkward space and not very conducive to organization. I should also mention that I have 6 boys that open and close the door. So I’m afraid to put anything on the door. Anyway, I’m going to try to do something to door to hang bags of chips etc. If you have any ideas for my pantry. Its probably 50 inches wide and 40 inches deep into a corner. Crazy huh?! Thank you so much for all you do. ~ Katz
I love my pantry, but the shelves are deep and I only use the front half for canisters. I have quite a large corner two door pantry.I love the 3Tiered shelves for cans, I have two, side by side, one for savoury and the other for sweet tinned Fruit.
Try putting neatly labeled boxes of stuff you only use once per year in your tippy-top cabinets (e.g. Christmas candles or Halloween decorations or camping what-not) and reserve lower shelves throughout the house for things you access more often. I have a friend who is 5 foot nothing and that's what she does. She also keeps a step ladder in a nook next to the fridge, because even the second-from-top shelves can be a challenge--but as we get older, step ladders become more dangerous. Better to find lower solutions.
I just Googled the OXO storage containers and got a shock; a set of ten was £100 plus £25 delivery on Amazon UK. Eek! It seems they are posted from America. I have actually been trying to reorganise my kitchen today and found flour weevils 😫. I live in an old cottage so I think sealed containers are the way forward 😁. Thank you for your tips as always. I too envy those large kitchens with lots of cupboard space. We can dream 🙂
They are on sale at Costco 12 pieces for $89.00 US. Check out the UK: www.costco.com/warehouse-locations?location=uk&tiresCheckout=&orderitemId=&storeId=10301&catalogId=10701&fromPage=&fromWLocSubmit=true&numOfWarehouses=10 hth
I understand what you mean. There isn't a drawer in my kitchen that fits a utensil tray. Maybe each drawer could hold two types if that much. Way to narrow. I used the craft ones you shared and put dollar tree baskets in them to sort the utensils. It has to go in the pantry.
I always seem to have a little bit leftover of the product that doesn't fit in my storage container, especially bulk items from Costco. Love your channel. Thank you for all you share. Cheers
Hi CF, I rent an apt, so I have to watch what I do, so Nothing permanent. 🙃 I have a wide pantry next to my fridge but it's really deep. Top shelf is all my spices & I've got them in these wooden crates that I got tiny oranges in. I Like what you did w/ Bins in ur pantry. I think that would be Perfect for me for my other shelves. I can't reach the back of my shelves. Using Bins I can pull them out, which I think would really Help me since I'm in a wheelchair. I'm gonna measure the shelves so I have an idea of what size bins to buy. I'm so Glad you did this video!! It gave me so many ideas for other cabinets I have. 😁 Take Care CF .. hugz, Jill 🤗😊 tfs
we are moving in with my mother in law soon and she has very little cabinet/counter/wall space. there is no pantry. its basically an open concept area with the living room. i am cooking up every combo i can think of to make food storage for 5 people in an organized manner. she doesn't know how to organize, so she's leaving it up to me. which is fine. i just am going to have to get VERY creative.
Thank you for sharing all these wonderful ideas...I love the idea of recycling the soda can box for canned goods... I was looking at my dollar store here in Canada on Friday for the plastic ones. Sadly they didn't have any. I will make one instead 😊. Many thanks and blessings from Nova Scotia
You are so welcome! Mine just had them yesterday... and I was good and DIDN'T buy any! I'm not working with clients as much now.... so I don't need to keep those types of supplies on hand as much.
Well dang I thought I got caught up on all your videos again, but found this one (Bonny posted in group) and I didn't have the like button clicked...so watched and clicked like. Love it all...but wouldn't use the big containers like you did as it's too much weight for me to manage pulling forward. I have posted pics a few times in group of the smaller bins I use. I suggest anyone and everyone should measure their cabinets and pantries...know the H×W×D of each space you want to use bins in so when you shop you know which ones will best work for your space. Dollar Tree and Dollarama (here in Canada) have some decent ones for this solution. 💖
On a budget recycle meat plastic trays by cleaning them well with Clorox. I recycle them to organize my utensils in my drawers. I also recycle plastic grocery bags. I wrap my shoes if I am traveling on a trip to keep my clothes clean. I recycle after the trip & use them for my dog's bm business. Think recycle and how I could use xyz...
I recycle Fisher peanut containers they are square they are most likely thrown away but I can put things in them and write on the lid what is in it and store it on its side and stack them 3 high this way tripling my pantry space! Its amazing.
my only storage is that lazy susan corner under the counter. Bed, Bath and Beyond sells a pie shaped plastic box about 3 inches high that helps with the falling of the shelf into the way-back corner issue but space is seriously limited.
Finally, someone who is not annoying with voice or music, and very clear about how it should be done. Thanks
So glad you said that! I have worried that my videos lack background music!!! LOL 💙
Really dislike the music thingy 💖
Hi! I’m so glad I found you. Your videos are much better than the others. You talk, yet show us what you are talking about and you don’t ramble on. Haha I like your style and suggestions. Thanks!
Thank you so much, Sharen! xoxox
I knew I was gonna organize my kitchen better but I couldn't really wrap my mind around it, now I can! Big thanks from here❤️
I'm so glad! Let me know how it goes!
Wow!!!! That sounds amazingly efficient!!! Way to go!
Your presentation is amazing.
You don't spoil your beautiful, soft voice with background music.
You get to the point and your videos remain interesting till the end.
Thank you so much
Wow! Thank you so much!!
You think like an organizer!!!! I love it! 😍
I loved the large bins that replace a pull out drawer on a deep shelf. Great Idea and I will be using it. Thank you so much!
Just perfect for the new gig I got! Going to organize this Doctor home, she just lost control for the past 3 years and now she hired me to help her to organize. Will tell you how it goes.
Please do! And let me know if you need more suggestions. 💙
I love an organized space with labels but I've never thought to use magazine holders for potatoes and onions. I'm doing that one for sure.
Wonderful!
I love the idea to use mesh magazine bins for potato storage!
I'm shocked.... I did this 6 years ago when my youngest was 7.... it has not fallen ONCE. And it really has been a great fix for our space. :)
Jean Vignes you could also use the small bins that slide in the shelf above to use the "wasted" space above the bins.
I like square jars..they fit the cabinets better especially in corners
I recycle Fisher peanut containers they are square they are most likely thrown away but I can put things in them and write on the lid what is in it and store it on its side and stack them 3 high this way tripling my pantry space! Its amazing. (You'll see I made this comment on the main comment page also)
I loved the wine rack for sports bottles
Honestly, I’m running low on money, and am so glad that you brought the coke box idea out! I’m not too broke for my cokes and have boxes now and contact paper! Now off to craft!
I love all the ideas but this is ingenious!
YAY!!!! I am so glad I could help!! :)
If anyone has questions or needs ideas feel free to ask
Great suggestion, Mike! Thanks :)
This is off topic but I really loved your video about working with chronic illness. Your one of my new favorite people 🥰😷
Oh!!!! Thank you so much, Sonya!!!! I really appreciate that. ❤
And there's still enough room on the coffee table for the toddlers (1&3) to help with meals/color/play while my spouse and I are kitchening.
the larger bins to pull out, love that idea
It's a game changer!!!!
I like your use of bins to make your own pull out shelves. I have two cabinets that I will try to do this! Thanks for the idea!
Great idea! They are pretty great for storage!
I love the command strip/chip clip idea! It also gave me another idea. Dollar tree has over the door hangers with small hooks on them, and you could use them with clips as well! I'm so glad I found you.
I'm glad too!!! 💙
awesome video and tips:) in the past few years, we have not used the pantry for food storage at all...since the cabinets are filled with daily use groceries anyway, we just put the dishes (glass, ceramic and stainless steel) inside the pantry and organised the groceries in the cabinets...daily use items on the top cabinets and new ones on the bottom cabinets...one cabinet is dedicated to mixie jars, chopper, etc close to a wall with outlet...I hand wash dishes right away and use the dishwasher to store oven trays, pans etc:)
That's PERFECT! Arranging things so they work for YOU and YOUR family is ALWAYS the best. :)
You are so welcome!
I have been using Tupperware for the last twenty years and are great for flower, sugar etc. they are air tight!
In my daughters kitchen, there is no pantry. She and her hubby converted a bedroom dresser draw cabinet. It’s low enough to put things on top and there are different sized drawers. She has like items for each drawer. I like that idea. Edit: The cabinet is the same width as the refrigerator.
That is awesome!
Command Strips on pantry door to hold bags of chips. Love it!
I wish I could say I have a favorite but I don't because I love them all.
I like using the pantry door ideas. I think I can utilise a couple together. I'm already using containers for like items, but the bigger containers are a better idea
Great idea with plastic bins in deep cabinets. We will be looking for them to fit our cabinets, thx so much
I recycle Fisher peanut containers they are square they are most likely thrown away but I can put things in them and write on the lid what is in it and store it on its side and stack them 3 high this way tripling my pantry space! Its amazing.
That is awesome!!!!!
But seriously, what a good idea. ;0)
I liked the chip clip idea. We appreciate you, too.
Favorite idea was water bottle storage. We definitely struggle with that. And I like the mesh magazine bin idea too. Thanks!
Great idea!
I loved the great idea of using empty soda box for canned items. Definitely will be using this one.
I like that you do small pantry’s. As I have no cabinet space.
Thank you for sharing . I love the pictures you showed . My fav tips was your own pantry pull out bins you had and I liked the tip of clipping the opened packets and securing on wall with command hooks. 👍🏻💛
So glad you liked it!
I bet I'm the only one, or one of precious few, to have a floor-to-ceiling spice cabinet! ;-)
Love your command hooks/baskets idea for under the sink, though; that area is my Waterloo!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer Okay, thanks for the warning.
I just love your site. Thanks so much!
I likes the mesh magazine holder for onions and potatoes the best! Cool idea! I like outside the box ideas!
Love the wine rack for the plastic cup storage idea!
I thought that was a great idea too!
That's awesome!!! You found a system that works for YOUR family. I always try to encourage people to find what works for them! Kudos!!
0:36 I agree with your perspective...I had to gut out my kitchen , then rebuild all of my storage area for maximum pantry storage.
That sounds perfect to me!!! I always tell people, the system has to work for you and your family! Sounds like you nailed it :)
Those corner cabinets are ALWAYS difficult! I found adding lazy susans to each shelf made them more efficient.
I like the use of command strips for bins on the doors.
Thank you! I'm just about to reorganize mine. I like it all, but prefer to use mason jars for ingredients giving a country kitchen look.
I'm too chicken to use glass!!! Maybe once my kids are all grown. I do love the look of those. And they are so affordable!
I've started researching for a video on motivation.... I will try to speed it up for you 💙
@@TheCraftyOrganizer Thanks; you're awesome!!!
My Sisters have deep pantries. I will tell them about the large plastic bins. Thank you!
Let me know how those containers work..... :)
All the different uses for Command Hooks. 😊
6:25 I have a lot of space between the floor and the bottom shelf in my pantry. This is such a great idea to reclaim that space.
Lucky you!!!!!
Love these ideas!
I liked all of the ideas a d have areas all over my house that can use some of these suggestions.
I add a bay leaf to jars & shelves..no problem with weevils Knock on wood ;)
Thanks for all the ideas. I’m going to get to work on my pantry.
Thank you Norrine for sharing your good ideas, don't know if anyone thought of this before me or not, if so please let me know, thanks again and have a blessed day 🥰
That's a great idea!!!! And I always love something that can be changed/updated!
~ Katz
Can you email me a few pictures??? I am such a visual person..... 😘
Thank you ! I really liked the potato and onion ideas.
And you can find those types of file holders at thrift stores all of the time! You can run them through the dishwasher too!
I always did like the soda box ideah.
I love my pantry, but the shelves are deep and I only use the front half for canisters. I have quite a large corner two door pantry.I love the 3Tiered shelves for cans, I have two, side by side, one for savoury and the other for sweet tinned Fruit.
I totally agree about the useless kitchen cabinet design! Mine fit nearly nothing! Plus I have too many stuff to start with.
Yes, I struggle with too high cabinets, and lloosing empty space because of the heights. I needed a stepper or ladder to get to my stuff
Check out the UK:
www.costco.com/warehouse-locations?location=uk&tiresCheckout=&orderitemId=&storeId=10301&catalogId=10701&fromPage=&fromWLocSubmit=true&numOfWarehouses=10

That is a GREAT price for that set!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
If the OXO are out of budget, use a recycled glass jar for the flour. You used to be able to get larger jars of items in the bulk food section.
Beth Briggs Thank you. I will see what I can find that is not quite so expensive 🙂
LuvTheOcean59 Thank you 🙂
I understand what you mean. There isn't a drawer in my kitchen that fits a utensil tray. Maybe each drawer could hold two types if that much. Way to narrow.
I used the craft ones you shared and put dollar tree baskets in them to sort the utensils. It has to go in the pantry.
I’m impressed with all your ideas.
Thank you, Lisa!!!! Wait until you see what I did today!!! ruclips.net/video/C4NN6PjUMGY/видео.html
I always seem to have a little bit leftover of the product that doesn't fit in my storage container, especially bulk items from Costco.
Love your channel. Thank you for all you share.
Cheers
Hi CF, I rent an apt, so I have to watch what I do, so Nothing permanent. 🙃
I have a wide pantry next to my fridge but it's really deep.
Take Care CF .. hugz, Jill 🤗😊 tfs
OH!!!! Watch today's video then!!!! You will love it! ruclips.net/video/C4NN6PjUMGY/видео.html
we are moving in with my mother in law soon and she has very little cabinet/counter/wall space. there is no pantry. its basically an open concept area with the living room. i am cooking up every combo i can think of to make food storage for 5 people in an organized manner. she doesn't know how to organize, so she's leaving it up to me. which is fine. i just am going to have to get VERY creative.
Hope one of the racks ideas at the end helped.
I moved and trying to organize . Smaller kitchen is really making me have to think . Great ideas , I use Tupperware but not sure if they will fit .
Huh... like the lunch meat type?? I'd love to see a picture!
Very helpful video. Loved the ideas :)
I use your pantry pull out plastic bins. Deep pantry in our house.
The craft bins in the bottom of pantry
Thanks for the great suggestions!
We have sliding pantry doors so I can't use the back. I finally had my husband add a shelf to our pantry for most of my cookbooks.
We have a window in our pantry door
