Norrine, I have a must share idea😁 I have a very small craft room with a large window that faces the West. So, 1) it takes up nearly one entire wall, and 2) it gets very warm in there in the summer months. So, I thought, why not make indoor shutters from peg boards, adding a frame and paint to give them a finished look. Then I will have more storage right in front of me because the window is above my table, and I can open and close as needed. I am so proud of my self for think of this and had to share. Thank You for the inspiration to think outside the box.😁😊😀🤪

My favorite upcycle for storage is a little butcher block we found at a garage sale for $20. We sanded the worn top so it looks new. Hubby painted the legs and the bottom portion of the block with a creamy white paint, and I took off the bar that was a handle across the front of the drawer and added glass knobs for pulls. It's the perfect "Cutting Table" and holds my large paper cutter on top, baskets on one side for paper scraps, and the drawer holds extra cutting mats, extra blades for my machines and my envelope maker.
I just loved so many of the ideas here! Looking forward to more.

I love these ideas. I keep many Mason jars, simple glass, or interesting shaped small glass jars. I cut down and cover cardboard boxes with vinyl shelf paper to store things upright (like wrapping paper). I use shoe boxes for attic storage. For those parents with an IKEA child's table and chairs: I stained my son's table and chairs dark green. The chairs can double as stools or mini display tables, and we use the table as a coffee table. Sturdy cardboard can be cut down and covered with shelf paper and used to line wire shelving.

I have seen that kitchen knife storage idea before and plan to look for old cookbooks to use. The ones I saw just used regular books. I use Pringle tubes to carry chocolate chip cookies (or any cookie) when traveling. But now I will have to check Pinterest. I save glass jars. Some for kitchen use others for crafting. I have some cat litter containers with flip up lids like you showed and use them for miscellaneous stuff but love the ideas you showed. Thank you for all your inspirational ideas. I look forward to more videos. Thank you. 👍🏻🥰

The ironing board as a peg board is genius. The changing table , I have used as storage. They are expensive and frankly, I rarely used it for changing diapers. You can also use the metal mattress base of a crib as wall storage with S hooks. I turned an older TV armuar into a craft cabinet with shelves and a pegboard for the back wall. Husband had to reinforce it with 2x4s.

The clear plastic cat litter containers measure 8.5 x 6 inches. I had over a dozen of the larger yellow but not enough room so I set them out side with a sign saying FREE. They were gone in a couple of days. I've tried using the clear plastic containers but they didn't work for what I wanted them for. I do like the idea of using them for magazine holders.

I’m moving into a different house in May and I’m going to do a craft room in the basement and my 3 top must haves is a peg board, a cork board and a chalkboard. I like see through containers so I use a lot of plastic jugs, pails, drink bottles. And another keeper is cereal boxes and milk containers. There are so many uses for them. Most loved is jars. They are clear, have lids and come in all sizes.

Remember glass pop/soda bottles? Back "then", the empty returned bottles were sorted into wooden crates and
sent back to the bottling company to be washed and used again. Those old wooden crates
work great for storing my punches for card making. Depending on the size of the punch, I can
fit 2 or more in each 3 1/2 " square and 4" deep openings of my old Royal Crown Cola crate that has a dozen openings.
I've found these crates in off the road antique stores.

I just found a new rabbit hole: your channel. I needed it today, and after I finish this comment, I will start the 10 day challenge. I have been upcycling & repurposing items for 30+ years, along with trying to incorporate decluttering into my creative lifestyle.. Had I known I could have shown others with a RUclips channel-I would have! Raising and homeschooling 8 kids & being a live-in caregiver for my father-in-law kept me a bit too busy to have handled it, though. The problem now is my vast collection of items and my renewed attempts at de-cluttering now that most of the kids have grown and moved out. Your advice is great; I finally have an unused bedroom available to convert into my creative office/studio space, and now I have more ideas of how to proceed. Thank you! .

One thing I use kitty litter buckets for is storing bird seed. We apparently have lots of VERY hungry birds (& at least 1 or 2 squirrels!), so I get sunflower seed in 40 lb. bags at Tractor Supply. I have 2 pet food dispenser containers (basically like the plastic pour-type cereal containers, but bigger), but obviously, they won't hold nearly that much bird seed. So I use the 35 lb. litter buckets for the remaining seed. I can remove the lid (literally the hardest part), & pour the seed into the bucket. 40 lbs. of seed will fill about 2 litter buckets. And because the opening of the bucket is wide, I don't have to wrangle the bag of seed quite as delicately & precisely. Then I just pop the lids back onto the buckets (and close them tightly, of course), & the seed is safe from any other critters (we have occasionally gotten raccoons & possums around here) getting to it. And it's easier to pour from the buckets into the pet food containers that I use to fill the feeders without spilling seeds all over creation. Thanks for all the great tips. I recently discovered your channel, & love your videos. Take care, & have a fantabulous day! :)
