Hey, I run cat, but I did redo my muffler to a magnaflow. Still testing but as of 1st tank if gas, driving alot of curvy mountain roads, I still got and extra 21 extra miles per tank. It woke up throttle response alot...I'm pretty happy
Thank you for your information I recently bought a 95 Ranger at auction and have done quite a bit of work to it. It gets very good gas mileage but lacks and Power I've done everything but the cat and O2 sensors. It does not seem to have enough exhaust coming out not sure so I cut the muffler off thanking the cat was plugging up and found the factory Muffler was actually plugging. Have you ever Experience a muffler plugging up? Thank you for your video.
@@everydayirace thanks for your reply. The muffler wasn't completely plugged up but it was restricted quite a bit I cut it off and now I have good flow out of my cat so I think it's okay.
@Surroundedbyevil368 The way I deal with possible clogged exhaust is I remove o2 sensor after the cat, and if engine picks up power, I replace the muffler, if nothing happens I remove o2 sensor that's in front of the catalytic converter, if engine picks up power, I replace the catalytic converter. If neither one of those do anything, then I leave the exhaust system alone and move on to the engine trouble shooting.

I have never seen a muffler plugging up, I've seen them blow up and rust out.
