Got to be Sunderland.
Massively strengthened while pulling in a large profit.
Middlesbrough easy
@@jarraandyftmwho have Sunderland bought
@@kaylanlayton search for yourself.
@@kaylanlayton It's not solely about players "bought"... Its also who they've managed to hold onto, loan players and strengthening the team.
Answer to your question though is 6.7 euros.
Zetterstrom will be a beast in goal for us Rams, he played great against Bristol City.
As an Albion fan, and with the greatest respect, I think you're doing us a bit of a disservice here. The bare bones of it, we've vastly reduced our outgoings in terms of our wage bill to get in line with the new PSR etc, as a lot people outside of the Baggie bubble may not understand, we were on the edge of financial oblivion before Mr Pater and Bilkul took over. I mean, we had the likes of Adam Reach on 40k a week! Matty Phillips, who was a great servant to the club, was easily one of the top earners, and his best days are behind him. We got great money for Conor Townsend, who even at Champ level, is somewhat limited at times. BTA, although very popular with the fans, nobody is that gutted to see him sold. We've reduced the average age of the squad vastly compared to what it was, and most of our acquisitions have improved the overall squad immeasurably. Thorbjorn Heggem has been outstanding, I think we've found a gem in Uros Racic, we've kept Tom Fellows (the best winger in the Champ), who we could've easily been sold just to balance the books, and Mikey Johnston and Mason Holgate have both come home to where they enjoyed the best periods of their respective careers thus far. More importantly, our biggest asset, King Carlos is still at the helm and emotionally invested in his WBA Project. If you'd have asked any Albion fan 6 weeks ago as to what they expected from this season, it would merely be progression and just to keep building for the future, as optimism was pretty much nil, even though 20k+ season tickets were sold. Post 30th August, most would probably have a cheeky tenner on top 2. 🙂 Keep up the great content, I love the articulate approach you have, and best of luck for the future! Up the Baggies!
Couldnt agree more
Agree with everything except Reach wasn't on 40k a week. That's been debunked several times
I'm getting over the "Yokuslu stuck with them through the worst periods"...he left! We got him back, he's gone again.
Unfortunately, I'd question how aware these guys are about us and the history of the players.
It’s not just the ins and outs for Sheff Utd, it’s who we kept aswell. Hamer Souza ahmedhodvic, arblaster all stay.
Keeping Arblaster especially - he’s looking phenomenal
I agree and the signing we brought in as well
Albion fan - our best window since our relegation. Should be at least second tier.
That’s what I’m sayin man
This is something Norwich has actually been #1 at
And the friendship trophy
Sunderland signed 2 strikers in the window. One came on against Portsmouth, did you miss him!!!
Blades fan here we have done some rlly exiting business this window and we’re still promoting youth at the same time with the likes of sydie peck being added to the first team feels like a new signing in itself he’s a talent for the future for sure
Sunderland recruitment often overlooked but looking at it as for the squad now
Mayenda - £1m
Hume - £200k
Alese - 500k
Ballard £2m
Bellingham £3m
Mundle - £1.5m
Roberts - free
Jack Clarke came for 800k, Ekwah 800k, cirkin very cheap aswell
Recent signings are exciting as well
Mostly buying young players they’re unproven but given Sunderland’s mostly positive recruitment they’re likely to benefit the team
Baggie fan here, feel you were extremely harsh on us. Heavily cut down the wage bill and made profit in the window yet we have a stronger squad than last year. Proper hopeful for the season coming up and id put us top tier maybe the 2nd one at the minimum.
Thanks for the response mate! You’ve definitely provided a very strong case.
Didn't mention the Heggem signing or keeping hold of Fellows (2 of the best bits of our window).
Pompey had a decent transfer window - just need the injuries in defence back but we should be ok
But when they do return, the SQUAD looks stronger…
Obviously as an Albion fan I’m slightly biased but I do believe that West Brom could be higher
Considering the situation we’ve been in this has been an unbelievable window for us you’re dead wrong lads. I’m a season ticket holder have seen these new players in the flesh at the Albion and they’ve been brilliant. We look so strong rn with arguably the best manager in the league.
Sunderland did get a striker however he’s unproven despite being highly rated weather he could take off straight away would remain to be seen. Also Wilson Isodor is a striker but often plays out on the left. Came on against Portsmouth and looked a decent player
I think the crucial thing you mentioned there, and I agree, is that it has to come together, and if it doesn't Wilder may be in trouble, purely because he has been seriously backed, and if they don't click very quickly, there may be a lot of unrest
The names look great - it’s just got to come all together!
Agree….Wilder is always quite emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve. When things are going well he creates this aura of invincibility around the club but when things go downhill and Wilder is under pressure he starts to age, look ill and wants to make excuses and blame others.
Great video guys really loved watching !! Couldn’t it believe it when I saw it was 51 minutes long but that didn’t matter at all 😅. Loving the content Jack !!
Thank you very much Gabriel!
Isidor can play left winger as well as up front
as a boro fan Aidan Morris is the best signing we have made by a mile he will be in the prem with or without us next season
We did get 2 strikers Isidor & abdullahi
Watford have had very good window they going younger market we lot money on sarr but only want players who want to there watford don't want to go down spending money for rubbish players just watch all are young players to come through
Leeds ins and outs are a net of -£116m spent and several players off the wage bill.
Great if you’re running a business 😅 I get your point mate, great money in and some exciting reinvestment
A good transfer window has to be judged across a number of metrics; is the team stronger, FFP mitigated, good value for purchases and good fees for sales, age and development potential of new recruits.
Based across all these metrics I think Ben Knapper and Norwich have done an excellent job and how they managed to get £9m for Adam Idah and pay only £1.5m for Slimane is genius.
Sunderland fan here, think we had the best window in the league when you really look at the players brought in
I'm watching sunderland u21s as we speak, Wilson isador is a striker, who can play on the wings, he is looking amazing in this game against Liverpool
your pushing it mate
Yeah right, not biased at all. 🤣
The Watford fans all very happy with the window and we got basically all the positions we needed players in. You lot being harsh about it but I think Daniel Jebbison may not be as good as people say I mean he has not actually scored any goals. One good season in league 1.
Just when you say this your striker Rajovic (I believe?) left the club😢😢
@@MightyRed6969on a loan
Millwall without Tanganga 7 goals conceded
Millwall with Tanganga 0 goals conceded.
We was going to pay 4 million for him but got him in on a free. One of the most underrated transfers of the window
probably west brom
Interesting, thank you. But re Norwich, no mention of Schwartau, Slimene, Crisene! And we sold well. £9m for Idah! £14m or so for wantaway Rowe. £5 from Hull. Exciting youngsters coming in like Billy Gee. For me, top business all round
the thing is with leeds you are forgetting that we have wober and aaronsen back , they are like new signings and also schmidt is one hellava player !
Yeah, they don’t have time to mention everyone that came and went but it was a very fair appraisal. I think most Leeds fans would put the window into either ‘Proper business’ or ‘Decent additions‘. No-one, surely, thinks we won the window without signing a proper no.10. Farke certainly doesn’t!
TBF I don't think there are very many specialised 10s in the division
@@kelvinengland3991 true, but I definitely get the feeling that Farke is annoyed he didn’t get his Rutter direct replacement (Hamer being the obvious fit).
@@LeoDragon34 a 10 and another striker to help joseph out would of been perfect
Albion should be number 1 without question.
Sheff Utd lost 15 players in the Summer with so many players out of contract that weren’t renewed. So it was obvious alot of excellent Championship players would be targeted. We’ve brought in almost every target we identified however we lack depth regards strikers. The finishing piece of the jigsaw to make us top 2 contenders was Cannon from Leicester and Mikey Johnstone from Celtic. We were on a role so all Blades expected them both to be our players. However for some reason we lost both these much needed targets, to Stoke and WBA. So now we think we can be make the top 6 but definitely won’t have enough fire power for top 2. SUFC are due to be taken over by US investors very soon so Blades are hoping that we stay in contention of the top 6 then make some impressive signings (probably strikers) during the Jan transfer window. Of course another factor for SU is that the team may look good on paper but it’s a totally new team that need time to gel. If SU start badly then Wilder will be under pressure and pressure can really harm a teams ability to perform, so even top 6 isn’t a given.
Really enjoyed this show guys, new subscriber here. As a Leeds fan, I think you got it exactly right. The only thing I would say is that, having watched him, Ramazani looks like not one for the future but now. Arguably, he is an improvement on Summerville. Man U academy, played and scored against Real Madrid. As fast as Dan James. Very very exciting, I think he will be unplayable this season.
100%. If you check out FIFA ratings, Ramazani is identical to Summerville in terms of his current and potential rating. Solomon has a higher current rating than Rutter, and Tanaka the same current rating as Archie. Obviously Rutter and Archie have much higher potential ratings. But the 49ers job is to get us promoted - we can worry about what a PL squad looks like when we get there. I agree that this window was very decent considering we lost our three best players.
Ramazani is not better than Summerville be lucky to get ten goals. Soloman is class if can stay fit. Heard Schmidt is good and Tanaka ok if he can score goals. We should of brought a specialist no 10 in linked with Hamer but wouldn’t splash the cash 18 million the mugs
@@LeoDragon34basing it off FIFA is probably not the best way to judge. Ramazani is a great signing but comparing him to Summerville after the season he had before he has played more than 5 minutes is a bit harsh.
@@garyhillman4993 Ramazani offers something different to Summerville. You can see with the signings that they are looking for a different way of breaking teams down other than ‘boot it to Crysensio’.
What a fantastic episode boys! Clicked on it as soon as I saw it!
I think your natural rapport together added to your footballing knowledge makes these kind of episodes unmissable! I look forward to the first review of the month in the Championship whenever that comes out.
As you know Jack I am a fan of yours through Tom and of course a long suffering Pompey fan. Our window was strong, Tom is (as always) bang on with the mix that Mousinho and Hughes have bought to the club. I would have loved a creative number 10 but there is always more to do in a window and you can’t have it all. Robertson chose Cardiff despite our bid being accepted so we can almost accept that.
Thanks so much for more engaging production from you both - your values are a professional standard and you both have wonderful careers ahead of you💙
Lol Boro have done some great business...
They certainly have!
Can't believe we let Cardiff take Simic, he looks unreal.
Hull fan here, 5.5 is ridiculous, probably a knee jerk reaction to not getting a striker. I’d say an 8.5/10 for us, would’ve been better if we got another striker in but that will have to wait until January
Hmm, early days of course, but they can’t have done that well so far. You haven’t won a game yet
Looked a lot poorer at Leeds this season than you did last season. As a Leeds fan that's what I can judge it on.
@@kelvinengland3991 that’s the best we’ve performed all season, our manager also said in an interview “it’s hard to try and go forward with players who don’t have a natural instinct at going forward” so once the new signings are integrated like kamara, belloumi and KP we will improve
Great video lads. A little longer on the lists of transfers next time could not read them before they are gone. On your camera angles if you do it like across from who is speaking so can see face front on instead of side veiw. Maybe again with the transitions of club crests just have it in the corner or something when you are both talking so the screen isn't constantly flashing at me.. I see where you are going and it's a good level.. well done both of you once again. 🎉
Thanks for the feedback Jacob!
No worries buddy really appreciate the hard work and I know it takes a long long time to make it slick. Keep it up. Getting better and better.
Bristol City contender? Not with Manning in charge.
Sunderland we only lost Jack Clarke. Kept Hume Ballard Rigg Bellingham Patterson & Neil all linked with moves could of done with a proven striker like but so far ao good ❤️⚪️
Bit ott about the pompey window and I'm a pompey fan , mostly all signings have potential , un proven and very little money spent , I don't think we will go down but I would put us in " it Opened " despite signing 15 in total the quality is unproven at this stage .
No mention of Keir Starmer, the number 10, not always seen as a left winger. A lot expected but not yet delivered.
Isn’t he playing for the house of Parliament too !
Goodman ... you mean Hoooodmyner
Pronunciation never been my strongest. Top addition though. Really like what he adds
In my opinion Pompey will be in a relegation battle this year as the squad is weak and is lacking in championship quality. I’m surprised so many fans don’t see it coming. 3 lucky points from four games …..😩
Sorry, but this comment is nonsense 😂
Personally I would have liked Pompey to have kept raggett and raferty I think I spelt that wrong oh well in defence as at the moment are defence is not good enough plus I would like to see are new goalkeeper as Norris is a liability at moment letting in 8 goals in 3 matches
Cardiff was pretty much a striker away from it being the perfect window but yeah aight
Surprised you've put us so low. We got unbelievable fees for all our players. Pulled several clubs pants down. Incomings are straight out of football manager and you'll be talking about them by the end of the season
Great balanced opinion on Derby.
No, I would disagree with Norwich
Where will you place us?
@@rylanplayz6449 I would put us in the second column because the thing about Norwich we don’t normally spend money but we have done these new players. It’s like a youth system. Where would you put us?
I know you said you wasn't basing it on results but then what is the point? Surely results are the most important measure. Interestingly the table has 5 of the current top 6 in the decent addition section and some of the worst teams in the division in proper business
My god youve changed.... voice broke to
