Good job Kerrod and Liam on explaining and demonstrating how to keep from pulling the golf ball left. On occasion I am confronted with this challenge. Now I know how to circumvent this from happening in the future and use a drill to help me remember. Well Done Gentlemen!
I was struggling with this as well and by adding a bit of "forward press" i was able to cure it but this drill will be something I use daily!! Thank you!!
Great coaching...excellent content......I have a huge problem with my swing....curious if you could possibly do a video on it....I hit everything on the toe of the club....I mean every shot irons or driver....according to uneekor I swing about 9 degrees from the inside..(too much I'm aware but can't seem to shake that either)....hit everything on the toe.....kills any distance....I have a bad back and have a hard time getting much turn so I am very much an arm swinger....I can stand closer.....line up on the heel....line up on the toe....same results no matter what I do...TOE STRIKES.....all of my shots have a ton of left spin on them...making most of my shots hooks...or from day to day a two way miss....but mostly hooks and distance killers....even shots that I some how manage to zero out club paths still hit on the toe.....any help would be greatly appreciated....I could upload/send video if needed....I can't be the only weirdo with this problem......
Thank you for your kind words! I'll be honest it is hard to diagnose without seeing your swing. I would suggest practicing the gate drill - Set up two golf balls or tees to create a gate just wider than the clubhead. Start slow and build up your speed. I do offer swing analysis on my website or you get one free with a monthly subscription to my training app.
@@kerrodgraygolf Thanks!! Shot my best round of the year using this info .... fantastic demo at 2:49 for club position and keeping right hand "under grip", kept me from hitting with the right hand!
So my buddy named Tim was known as Timbo Slice because he was awful with the super fade 😂 he worked with the glove between his right elbow and his side and not dropping it before impact and it cured him and he is actually a 10 hdcp now
Tommy Fleetwood ( striking God ) used the alignment stick above the shaft and after that a screw on mini alignment stick, that would hit him in the ribs if he flipped. It has been in production as “ the reminder”, and “ the punisher” 😮
This is really good video, but you can also pull the ball without releasing the club early as well. I fight a pull and it is because my left shoulder turns left to early. Make sure you know what you are doing exactly. Go get a lesson and make sure they video your swing.
I do not flip. I pull the ball even if deliberately do not release the lag angle. Are there any other areas that cause a pull besides flippy hands and over the top?
Main reason for pulling....is not completing the turn of the body....which forces the club to come around the body and pull the ball. |t's really that simple....and doesn't need all the technical explanation....that most will not really understand. If you're not turning through the shot, then you're manipulating to hit the ball...and it will always be a problem, either in regard to trajectory...or distance.
I pull it, lower body doesn’t turn and hands and arms come through and ball goes straight left. I just need to move my hips out the way. Turn as a unit.
@@mattv4748 I'm not doubting that, I'm saying having someone who doesn't pull or push or top or whatever demonstrate how not to do it is not really a lesson. RUclips is filled with thousands of 'do this one trick!'. If they all worked we'd all be professional golfers.

As always John, thanks for your comment!
Thank you, Jesus! I have been fighting this for months (0 handicap thanks to short game) and this has been such a great help.
I'm glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the comment 👍

Great to hear! Thanks for your comment 🙌
nice tip, I tend to hit a lot of pull shots with my irons and never thought about the release causing it.
Hopefully it straightens your shots out. Let me know how you get on 👍

Quality video this 👍👍
Love to hear it. Thanks for the comment. 👍
Great tip, will this work with driver too?
No just the iron 👍

It could turn pulling to slicing with driver for hitting late. Any suggestion with long clubs?

Would this work with driver?
Absolutely 👍

When I pull I just get the face either matched to path or closed to path, it’s not a path issue.

Sounds like you know what the problem is. Do you know how to fix it? Or do you need some advice?
It’s the path the creates a pull, not the club face!
If a closed club fees creates a pull, go ahead and hit a pull-cut with a closed club face….
Why are all these lessons with someone who doesn’t pull? Get someone who does so we can see the process.
I film my RUclips content with other pro coaches, but I understand where you are coming from.
Bro if u pull your getting the club head down too soon, this video legit showed me what I'm doing wrong and I bet its the same thing u are doing wrong
