    FYI
    With the exception of turning on and off the LED's; The Warthog on ED and or SC, does not need the software called T.A.R.G.E.T
    Use the defaults at first then when your ready, rebind only the ones you want.

      Just a thing, the T16000 is not quite durable with time, so if you are short on money, try to buy one with a good life time ^^

    At 01:30. Track IR is the way to go when head tracking around the cockpit. VR of course is the ultimate, but once you try the Track IR 5, it's simply a different league from any hat switch!

    I recently upgraded to the Warthog from my old X-55 (which was a great HOTAS, but was feeling a bit dated and difficult to find support for). Difference was night and day, the X-55 looked like a real flight stick, but the Warthog feels like and reacts like a real flight stick! I am missing the Z-Axis twist from the X-55. which the Warthog doesn't include. But I'm adjusting to the using the switches , might eventually get foot pedals. But that is a minor gripe at best.

    Good review. Any chance of making a follow up with the current 3.17.5 / 3.18 version of the game? Also, some of the graphics in the version shown here seem much better than the current version. Notably the self status screen showing target direction and the ship explosions.

    This was the best demonstration I have seen using these controllers in a game like star citizen. I currently use the t16000m setup, but am thinking of getting this warthog controller system. I was interested to see how you handled the roll. I wonder how difficult it is to get use to using the roll in the fashion that you use.

    I utilize a hotas for flying and a controller for walking and driveing land vechiles. And a mouse for only items that need to be opened such as doors.
    I started by deleting all the possible binds to hotas and then configuring only the ones involved with flight. Almost the same with my xbox controller. Though the controller needs more configurations than does the hotas.

    It is great seeing it actually work. Did you need to do anything special to get it to work properly in Star Citizen. I have the same hotas and have been unable to get my mapping to work propperly.

      Back when you wrote this comment, SC wasn't saving profiles properly. It might have been fixed now? I think they still reset if you unplug the controllers and plug them back in though.

    Funny, i use all 3 when playing SC the T1600 is for strafing, the flight stick is for pitch and roll, the throttle is.....a throttle. so many buttons cant really map them all

    man that button on the throttle the mini black button in the middle on the right hand side not the one you can look around with the one that has that tiny button in the middle that would be a perfect button for the space break in star citizen!

    I'm here trying to figure out WTF after spending 3 hours last night binding my Warthog to Star citizen. I've owned the warthog for 3 years and have tried many times in the past but have given up due to lack of any real success, accepting the fact that SC is in Alpha. I tried again thinking the updates since might have improved things. I managed to get it almost usable but gave up trying to sort the throttle as it worked backwards and no attempt to invert the axis helped. Being a flight sim guy I just can't fly with a keyboard as my fingers soon cramp up. It was far from perfect but for the first time useable. The game crashed on me and I restarted only to find that my bindings no longer worked even though I saved 3 versions of my bindings and reloading them did nothing. The controls menu even has a Warthog preset which also did nothing. If this is a persistence issue, it still should load pre-saved bindings. If I need to spend all my play time doing this, I'll have to walk away from SC for a couple of years again. If this is an in game issue then CIG really must give the control bindings menu more effort than they are giving. It doesn't matter how pretty the game is if it is so hard to control. I'm yet to find a RUclipsr that has a good step by step how to set up a HOTAS in Star Citizen. Am I asking for the impossible at this stage of Star Citizen's development?

      After spending so many hours to figure out what works for you make sure you save your sets, every time their is a update it wipes your bind sets.

      ^^^^ Yes this ^^^^

    • @Bbdrew
      @Bbdrew 4 года назад

      I'm not sure this is controller specific. However if you go under "controls" in settings, NOT keybindings, you can scroll through expandable menus and checkboxes to invert literally any setting. Find the throttle up/down axis under the HOTAS config (selected in bottom right) and select invert. Before I got my pedals that I use for thrust - I used my left t16000's throttle lever and it also was doing the same as your HOTAS throttle is so I checked the invert box and it worked fine
