  • Griots BOSS Hybrid Micro Polisher Review & Cordless Polishers Discussed
    In this video I highlight all the popular mini cordless polishers on the market and spotlight the new Griots Garage BOSS Hybrid Micro Polishers features and demonstration. This is the best feeling and smoothest and quietest polisher in the class and it has a properly designed variable trigger. A Few improvements I would like to see are higher capacity battery packs and updating the quick change system to make it easier to lock in place 100% of the time. If your looking for a mini cordless polisher the new Griots Garage BOSS Hybrid Micro Polisher will satisfy 95% if your tasks whether you a seasons detailer or an enthusiast.

      for a small company to invest the money in doing this is very impressive to say the least when you have massive power tool brands who could get things right easily but choose not to.

    Nice review. Not having the option to get 2-3 batteries or being able to plug in are concerns for me. I hope they offer these options in the future. My first d a polisher was from Griots and I have upgraded to their newer version and it works great.
    Thanks Phil 👍✌️☮️

      the extra batteries and inverter are coming May 2023 according to Nick Griot. the delays are insane still with the supply chains and Rupes told me their inverter i would have by December 22 and still no word on when they will offer it for the HLR75 which I showed in this video.

    Very good video. I am surprised why Rupes has waited so long to create a mini polisher able to switch between pad sizing. I think that is the main reason why detailers keep looking into other options in the market.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Год назад

      yeah when I bought my HLR 75 i thought it was switchable but your only able to use 3 inch pads, its a killer machine for performance but the trigger is a huge issue for me still.

  • @mBaggins
    @mBaggins Год назад +1

    I have the PXE 80 and i agree that the trigger isn't the greatest but you get used to it pretty quickly. The Griots looks cool, but i would personally never use it as if the head falls off when polishing a car it could do a LOT of damage. I'd rather have the power button on the Flex than damage a panel on a car personally.

      the lack of a real variable trigger i just hate tools like that especially for the money and times we are in today that push button on and off switch is 30 year old design they should not even think of using today in such a competitive market

      these small machines are designed for small tasks but when a new one comes out I try to torture them to see how much I can do with one on a full charge, the Rupes HLR75 on two batteries can do a singe step polish on a full size car which was really cool. if your looking for a 5 inch version check out the Milwaukee M18 DA polishers at Home Depot.com

    Way to many fails with this machine, I do like Griots machines. However the Flex is gonna be better as a complete tool. Also The Flex has aftermarket 3”, 2” pads available . The quick change connector is gonna be a issue nobody wants to deal with and fumble around like that. Major fail on the most important part of the tool. Also the Flex XFE cordless polisher probably one of the weakest machines out, I’ve owned almost the entire Flex cordless line and the prior Griots 2”cordless which was similar to the Rupes machine. It’s Nice the Rupes new cordless machines give you run time but all the other issues overpower what good comes out of it. Same with the Rupes long neck super weak machine and brittle as well also at $600 for the kit way too much. Had Griots worked out this connector issue it may have been the best considering it comes with 3”,2” and 1” plus a rotary for $400 ish. Which is cheaper depending on where you get the Flex from , even on sale you still spend on the APS backing plates and rotary extension plus pads. But if Griots doesn’t get this worked out it’s a major fail. But let’s hope Griots gets this worked like they did with the 6” backing plates from the new polishers they put out. Can’t agree with this machine at this time. I also did notice it stalling like all machines do at its highest speed but that normal. But yeah Griots has to do better and one battery ? Yeah definitely not at this time does the new Griots cordless or the Rupes cordless overtake the Flex PXE80 as the best 3” and smaller tool available. Good video tho. Thanks
