They do make a metal one…. That’s the permanent fix for this. It’s around $170 if I recall correctly. Used to do a ton of these. Its better than dropping $100 on another piece of plastic

You could mainly see it in the valley of the motor. It would leak down the front of the block and then out the back of the valley when it was full enough of coolant

I discovered recently that my 2010 Ford Explorer is leaking coolant fluid I sure hope and pray that my vehicle just needs that part in the video and I sure hope it's not a gasket or anything like that I definitely can't afford an expensive bill like that but I'm sure if it's just that same part in the video that needs replaced on my vehicle it shouldn't be too costly. I just hope that's all it is and not a gasket.

I found this part leaks pretty often because it's plastic and just breaks down over time.

Yeah I read about it online earlier today and apparently it is a common issue because of the part being plastic and it breaks down over time. I just hope and pray that that part that was in the video is all that my vehicle needs. I doubt it that it's a gasket it said online that if it were a gasket that my vehicle wouldn't start my vehicle starts up just fine though so I'm thinking it's probably just the part in this video that needs replaced and it shouldn't be too costly either. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. 🤞

I think you should’ve use the metal one

Your absolutely right I should have, but at the time I'll admit I didn't know they made an updated metal one. I will remember that for the next one if I do this again. Thank you for the advice though!

Dude, why make even the video when 90% is just you holding the camera up to your face talking and the part that actually shows the repair is done from a shitty angle in fast forward so you can’t even see what’s happening. This is less of a tutorial and more of a “look what I can do” video…
Also, you didn’t show disconnecting the radiator hose because it wasn’t “eventful” but what if someone watching this needs to see where you do that from? It doesn’t need to be eventful it needs to be informative. Otherwise it’s pointless.
