Germany’s progressive death metal masters OBSCURA complete their long-running, four-album conceptual circle with the release of Diluvium (defined as a great oceanic flood), their most evocative, diverse and vibrant release to date. Recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany, Diluvium is a stunning achievement for the illustrious quartet and a landmark release for progressive metal as a whole. Complete with all the band's signature elements plus groundbreaking polyrhythms, dramatic songwriting, and jaw-dropping virtuosity, OBSCURA raise the bar once again with an album that will go down in the annals of metal history as one of the most astonishing performances the genre has to offer.
they are allways growing and experimenting , thats so rare like death , every album they add new and trying to become better... this album is realy close to cynic...
This song is an absolute masterpiece, this album is hands fucking down their best work, and this from an Omnivium obsessed fan. This album is dark, but at times has soul, I haven't heard an album with evil and soul working together since Deaths SOP album.
Ya know what I'm Omnivium obsessed too but I can definitely see your point. At worst I only like this slightly less than the classic Hannes/Chris/Jeroen albums if you feel me haha This song is fucking perfect for sure
evil and soul? while it's mostly black metal don't tell me cradle didn't marry evil and soul pretty well :p but hell yes, this song and the whole album is absolutely fire
"Deliverance and Consciousness, aeonic destiny Immanent and transcendent, where spirits reunite A maelstrom of unity, eternal and divine A farewell to infinity, each soul glorified" Thanks, Obscura.
I watched a drum Play-through by Sebastian Lanser in the Tama Drums Germany RUclips Channel of this "theme". I must say and I thought that was pure instrumental and sounded it pretty spectacular. So, my curiosity and I, searched this "instrumental" in its original state. I must say just WOW! The vocals changed the form of the instrumental parts, by a lot. It gives a new perspective of the song. A new tone of emotion.
This song is... really good. I'm not a huge Obscura person, but man, this song is catchy. I love how they layer the screams with the robotic sounding clean vocals, it's really attractive. Also, the composition is super good (which is not a rare thing for Obscura).
One of the best songs Ive heard since the first time I played Ocean Gateways... fucking incredible how well the complicated bass and guitar parts merge together
Ohiam sorry i forgot to mention all the other great death metal bands that share the spotlight with all the other guys that are the spotlight of death word to all who are going there vith them the abyss!? right!? No iam just kiding right!?
@@grillosaint next album is going to be released sometime in the early part of 2021, they're already writing songs for it (if the interview i watched is true)

One of the best songs of the album

I'd argue their best it's Akroasis
@@SadisticKillerXx All of their albums are pieces of art. Omnivium is my favorite though.
The drums sound incrdible!
If Morbid Angel and Cynic had a demon baby...
With a little bit of Death mixed in.
The long bursts on the kick over the bass sweeps give me goosebumps. This song is gold!
Production is on point 👌

The Monist 2. I love it!
I feel like they're distinct enough from each other tbh
Diluvium is fucking badass, my favorite record of theirs so far
another complete masterpiece album
A farewell to the stars, redeemer of the final abyss
A farewell to eternal spheres, deliverer of the solar eclipse
♪♪
This record is an absolute killer :D
After months, I still can't tell which song on Diluvium is my favourite.
Felicitaciones. Obra maestra

I agree, Obscura is not my cup of tea to be honest, but this song is everything I need right now. The chorus is perfect.
wonderful! sensational! what a beautiful thing! congratulations! 🤘

Great song. @2:16-@3:16 deserves a chef kiss 😘👌

what a drumming line!!! 0_O
Amazing song! I think this is Obscura's best lineup! Don't @ me
Not for me. Never !!!
This reminds me of something I can't remember now. 🤔
Sodom - Remember the Fallen??? (just the intro)
Maybe Cynic w/ the robotic clean singing moments
Gojira probably ?
I by Morbid Angel? (Lyrics)
Cynic.
3:33 technical black metal
This song is FUCKING good, holy shit
Drum party fire melodic
Come to Perú!
Todo es posible, a joder a las productoras
Vendrá Beyond Creation en abril, así que sería demasiado genial si Obscura alguna vez llegue a Perú
Esperemos que vengan !!

One of the best songs Ive heard since the first time I played Ocean Gateways... fucking incredible how well the complicated bass and guitar parts merge together
is this fretless guitar at the end ? who's playing it, since fountainhead isn't in the recording ?
What i really meant is they are the new gods who have returned from the abyss
damn this shit is smooth as fuck
And they rule the new cosmos with gojira and monstrosity
Lars Ulrich says Hello! .....and cry
Opeth + Gojira, but have really original points. Good song
This song is kick ass fuckkkkkkkkkkkk

We all miss Cynic.
Paul's making new music for Cynic tho
someone remind me of why these guys ain´t playing instrumental
Because Steffen wants it to be a death metal band with space/philosophy lyrics? Lmao
I mean they are not going there they are there do you know what i mean?!?!!!!!????
Death - Destiny
Gojira vibes
Not even close.
@@theantarex i was a poser

North America Tour
the lyrics vaguely remind me of the christic principle astral heaven if you connect it all it sounds religous
The intro riff reminds me of No Remorse by Metallica!
