I've had back pain for most of my adult life. To manage the pain, I found the Spine-Worx Alignment Board. My pain is from a subluxation, an occasional slipped rib, and sciatica. Using the board couldn't be easier, but does take some getting used to:
-Place the board on the floor, or on a yoga mat if you have hardwood flooring
-The board is marked at the bottom where your lower back goes
-Sit on the floor so your butt is close to the bottom of the board
-Slowly lower yourself down onto the board ensuring that your spine is between the yellow rubber cushions
-You will probably need to place a pillow at the top for your head, and maybe one under your butt until you get used to the curvature
-If the yellow cushion is to hard, you may also want to wear a thick sweatshirt to add extra cushion for your spine
-Start by only laying on the board for 30 seconds or less if it is uncomfortable
-Work your way up to longer sessions of 10 minutes or so
-Roll over and pull the board out and remain laying on the floor for a few minutes before standing up

here's a few suggestions for relieving back pain pain at home -
      Use Chiropractor Spinal Adjustments.
      Use Yoga or Stretching.
      Use Acupuncture or Massage Therapy.
Don't site for Long Periods, keep Moving!
      Use Heat Pads.
(I learned these and why they work from Makalls Remedy Plan site )

Thank you SO much! Found one at a stoop sale in Brooklyn. Wasn't sure what to do, other than plop down on it. Your instruction was much appreciated. And this little contraption has helped me tremendously. I put a thin pillow under my butt, as you sit on your hands, it is sometimes too extreme an angle for me also. I now can lengthen 1 leg out at a time. And will sometimes get both legs out long, slowly, by the end of my 20 minutes. This has helped my herniated low disks AND my pinched nerve in my shoulder! PS, your hilarious with the bloopers!!

My experiences only, thru my expert physio. When in lying position with the gadget attached to yr spine, the chin shud be down aligned to yr throat area. Also, the helper expert will put some chi-like pressure on outer parts of shoulder & near ribs with his palms. Helps in decompression of the spine. It feels great & for posture as well. Do this regularly, as it keeps you from back problems. As i said, it's my experience. Seek expert opinions first, if you do as i did.

No, this board was really helping me to maintain some flexibility down there. As I say in the video, the lumbar curve is a little much for me, so I either sit on my hands or put a folded towel under my butt to make it a little easier. One thing this was great for was my floating rib. It would slip right back into place on this board and save me a trip to the chiropractor.

I have lordosis in the spine. Will this work? I've been to a chiropractor and she was adjusting my back but it just felt worst, went to physical therapy and they helped me with strengthening but my core is still weak and have pain everyday. Also physical therapist said tgat cracking your back is not good, that it's only taking away the pain in the moment and resetting what they tried to do to my back to instead do exercises. I know your posts are old so I hope to hear from u! Thanks

Nice vid :) . I had really bad lower back pain a few times myself (hardly able to walk). I used a board similar to this that i found on Amazon. The first time i used it i could hardly use it on the lowest arch setting, as my back was so stiff and i was barely able to lean back into it. However, now i can use it on the max arch setting. I have absolutely no back pain after a couple of weeks using it and i only have to use it once or twice a week for maintenance for about 5-10 mins. You will certainly hear the cracks and pops in your back when u first use it as the tension and compression is released. It might feel a bit uncomfortable at first, so relax gently and keep your legs arched. However, it's now easy and comfortable, plus relaxing to use. I think having such a sedentary life style and sitting in an office all day ruins our back strength, flexibility and causes a lot of back problems. You will also notice you get hardly any headaches when your back is feeling fine.

I have significant scoliosis and this is the only thing that can help it. Be very careful with this. It really works well, but you have to know your back. I kept reinjuring myself from using it too long. Go easy. My scoliosis was so bad that I still cant lay on this thing for 15 minutes a day.

I tend to neglect myself. When I got better, I stopped using it. Then I had to go back on it. Aim for 15 minutes in the morning as a sort of preventative medicine. Use it even if you have no back pain. That's what I need to learn myself!

Thank you so much for saying exactly what it does while you are laying on the device. Getting a good stretch to me is different than say, this product actually allows my body to "adjust" by just laying on it.
I too have had back pain for years (the last 12 years).
After years and years of physical therapy, massages, injections, chiropractor, surgery.. I've gone full circle.
It seems I will never stop having back pain, but can do what I can to manage it. With my ribs moving constantly this can take a toll on the pain scale and the pocket book (when you have to go to the chiropractor to fix it).
Anything that may help me to keep my little vertebrae and ribs back in the "normal" locations they should be, without having to go to the chiropractor would be helpful.
So, I think I will give it a whirl. While I know everyone's body is different I greatly appreciate that Someone finally said what I've been looking for on a review. :)
    Thanks again Matt!

When I first lay on the board it's very hard to breathe, certainly can't carry on a conversation. When I get up from it everything's fine and no trouble breathing. When I'm on the board, I take long slow breaths, and when I first Kay down, I do it on an exhale, that helps snap any kinks on the way down. Good luck with it, I hope you get the hang of it.

    • @codycap93
      @codycap93 8 лет назад +2

+Jon Lambert It depends on the curvature of the spine. In order to correct a scoliotic curvature (non-surgically), you will need to not only use precise Chiropractic adjustments, but also muscle strengthening exercises. Understand that "self-adjusting" your spine will not align your spine because the muscles and ligaments around your spine have been in that position for "X" amount of years.
