Love the interview. Good and relevant questions. Mike is one of the best interviewers out there. I retired from the DEA years ago and we always, always appreciated and valued the cooperation of local law enforcement, specially the county sheriff people. They were right with us, shoulder to shoulder at the thick of the shit. We share intelligence and most of the time, they had better info than us.
Fantastic episode! Talented host and a super interesting and articulate guest. Looking forward to Part 2. Thank you both for your National and Community service. 🇺🇸
Thank You Mike & Thomas for what you do for Faith based Service. Its not about ramming religion down peoples throat , its about living Morals , Principles & Truth. Can totally relate to Being a Father being tough. I find handing over Control to God when I cannot control others actions that you know will end up in trouble a hard step .
I will save this episode on que to watch right before work and at work tonight. It would be cool to also have Sheriff Mark Lamb on. Especially with all the live border footage he's been getting lately. From the ground and from the air (helicopter).
Great show gentlemen, thank you. I live in Pinal Co but I wasn't aware 20 mph over posted speed is a criminal offense. I'm for sure going to keep my speed down now.
Society has to change before you're gonna change any criminals. People go back to jail because, in jail they are somebody out on the streets, They are nobody, they have no family,They have no friends, whatever the case may be, but that's the answer. People need to stop and buy people I mean, society needs to stoprojecting hate. And being judgmental and profiling people that have been in trouble.
I'm pretty sure going 20 over is a criminal offense almost anywhere. Isn't it reckless driving? Just because you're not charged, doesn't mean it's not a crime. Just like not all cops ticket for Jay walking. I could be wrong, though.
Not all drug dealers are the characters that you have been shown on tv or heard about on TV.. I know a couple people who have sold drugs to adults only and have never been caught. They are users but not abusers of drugs and they work like your average person. They just make a little extra money and they get theirs for free for taking the risk. If you met them you would never know what they do or have done for decades..
This is so true. I know or met a few. Most have had no trouble and moved on to other very successful lives too. But one thing they all have in common; all were purposely super mundane be it style, friends, and daily life in general. The ones who caught trouble have the most amazing stories but all went to jail. 😂
Id have to see the data on this. I can't believe there is more money in trafficking than drugs. I could be wrong, and I'd be open to being wrong, but there's just so much money in drugs, mainly because of the "war" on drugs. I think it's obvious that making prostitution illegal is killing women daily, and the illegality of drugs is ruining lives faster than any legal drug could.
Good stuff have lived in Phoenix for 6 years, moved here from Indiana in 2018!! Matt seems like a good dude seen him on some weed podcast about a year ago.
Lifting "heavy", (as appropriate for your level using healthy body mechanics), actually helps to prevent pains as you get older, the medical research has proven this, even in people in their 70's, 80's, 90's +.
Its good to have someone who cares on the border. I wouldnt go after drug users. Small time dealers might flip some theres a much better way using tech. and listening gear. Its gonna be the same few people as staging spots
Great show I loved in AZ in that time period went to school at MMI off dear valley highway great times Mike could you please if you can help me find a Belgian Mal I’ve been looking for almost two years I really need I need the training with him and to be able to spend the time not just for him but for myself I would really appreciate it if you could help me find a Belgian Mal pup thank you great shows really do enjoy as well as learn a lot from every episode 👊🏼🤙🏼
30 years ago I was a prison Guard in Texas and it was a joke. Singers did work that way but to light a fire for smoke one time only took a pencil. The guards didn't care It was do your 8 and hit the gate.
Wrestling and Judo are key much more than BJJ imo. BJJ is better than nothint but even the term, "wrestling" sounds better if you have to defend yourself in court.
I agree.’BJJ’ gets confused with GJJ. Gracie jiu jitsu starts off with ‘Combative’s’, fight scenarios and the whole thing. Gracie Jits has everything fight which includes cross training for instance with mma and has their own weapons training. BJJ is the sport of grabbing that derives from GJJ. GJJ in essence is Mixed Martial arts for real world fights. No time limit stuff. Plus they have l sons just for Law Enforcement. Yeah BJJ is the most scene by the public but it’s GJJ is where it’s at combat wise.
I do NOT believe human trafficking is making more money than narcotics.. I never seen anyone blow 2,000-5,000 a week on sex, but I've seen it from someone on drugs and they were poor, I can.imagine someone with money.. same c ould be said for sex but, I just don't believe that
@NM50555 i do. like he said its a renewable resource, every person doesn't integrate into society. the ones who get deported end up paying for another trip over the border. those who can't afford guidance, but are desparate end up as indentured servants, or free labor. Drugs or narcotics involve overhead in either the purchase or manufacturing process of whatever substance. If you lose a load of drugs it's not coming back to you and paying for another trip over the wall.
No offense, but what does active-duty law enforcement even mean. You mean, full-time law enforcement officer and thats all this guy was. Also, he also can't speak on federal immigration laws or policies, his local department were charging suspects under Arizona state statutes not federal. Border Patrol and CBP will only prosecute crimes under U.S.C., but immigration deportation/removals are strictly civil enforcement, not criminal enforcement. This guy acts like deportation and detention are punitive punishments.
Current L.E.O here and that Marine story is Total BS , you know damn well it was four years, if you were at a recruitment center you know damn well it was 4 years. You didn't have the fortitude to sign up for 4 years. And being kicked out of your first academy.. hmmmm

I can’t understand people’s infatuation with Kari Lake, Sheriff Lamb would be a much better Senator
💯 Sheriff Lamb supporter all the way! And not because I known him personally before he ran for the Senate. He's an honest, genuine, good man.

There are different types of human trafficking: forced labor, domestic servitude, and sex trafficking.
@doots924 you are right I didn't take that into account!. Do you think it generates more money then illegal narcotics?
