I traded in my R6ii for an R5ii and couldn't be happier at the improvements (I shoot 67%/33% stills/video, vacation, museums, wildlife, action/sports) . But I still want a second/backup body and don't want to shell out another 4.3K for a second R5ii. If the R6iii does inherit the R3s sensor, includes CLog2 (this would be a dealbreaker if it didn't as I'm never going back to only CLog3 after using CLog2 in the R5ii) and adds a CFExpress card along with a full sized HDMI slot, then it would be an immediate release date purchase for me as the second body.
The R6mII is my most beloved camera to this date. It's so much fun to use and produces great images. However, I'm only happy with the AF like 90% of the time, and sometimes I wish I had more megapixels. Like when I see a composition later while editing and need to crop a lot. 6K, standard HDMI, and faster read out are not that important to me, so I will skip the R6mIII and get an R5mII for Christmas, instead :) this will be the perfect combo for my work. Not having to swap lenses so often anymore and having more pixels will be a blessing.
Hi Joseph. I am new to your channel. I own the Canon EOS6 mark 2. Do you have tutorials to get the best video image from this camera? I feel my videos look good, but could look better with some tips/advice. Thanks so much.
It's going to be a beast of a camera when it comes out. I don't do much video the CF Express card would be very useful for the 40 fps bursts. Even using fast v90 cards, the buffer fills quickly. A fully stacked sensor would be amazing. It's like we are getting a smaller R3. Sort of like what the Nikon Z8 is to the Z9.
I'm officially ready to finally upgrade from my trusty 5D4. I was leaning towards the R62 but with these recent rumors I think I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't wait to see what the R63 brings to the table. I've got the bug and I'm itching to buy a new body, so I'm hoping this checks all the boxes. Just for clarity is the use of IPB instead of All-i a letdown for professional quality and editing? I've only ever used All-i on my 5D4 so not really sure what the downsides to IPB are except the more compression. Thanks in advance!
I'm confused basically I have plan of getting R6 mark 2 just 4 months used with RF 24-105 4L and RF 100 2.8 + 256 GB card 300MB/s In 3465 USD. On the other hand R5mark2 is 4265 USD. I also don't have any lens. There are 2 options first is buy the 2 lens with R62 or 2nd option is R52 with Rf50 1.8... later on I'll upgrade my lens 24-105.. is it worth to sacrifice more money. I want 4,5 years future safe. If you're in my place what you'll do?? Is it good offer or suggest me any other option!!
@@iabdulhaseeb really much appreciated I have my own r6m2 wirh the 24-105 4L and this camera is amazing!!! Low light perfect and 24MP is far enough for having fun. Outstanding AF would neuer think about another one.
Canon needs to update the R 7 and R100 first, then decide the fate of the R3 and update it as well. A stacked sensor R6 iii with improved autofocus will eat into R1 sales as well.
I hope Canon R6 Mark III at last will be switching from outdated, decades old front-lit to BSI-CMOS sensors, if not I'm going back to Sony. At this point mirrorless camera makers should have been experimenting with much more efficient and sensitive SPAD, quantum dot and graphene enhanced CMOS sensors. Graphene sensors are x1000 more sensitive than current ones and can detect even deep thermal infrared spectrum so just imagine enormous possibilities.
Oh, again we are talking about something that we do not have. Of course, we are free to talk about everything, but... is a big but... Do you have the R5 mark II, finally? And, where did you see the R6 mark III in the wild?
I'm still struggling with my decision. I like the sound of the R6III, and will be mightily tempted by it, but I don't view it as an upgrade from the 30.4mp 5D MkIV. For that matter even the 6D MkII has a 26.4mp sensor. I'd like to see the R6MkIII slot in between those at maybe 26 to 28. For me as a working photographer who shoots families, portraits, events and sometimes pets, I shoot on the fly a lot. As a result I rely a fair bit on cropping to refine my composition and it pains me to consider dropping down to 24mp when my current two bodies both have more. At the same time I don't want to deal with the file sizes that the 45mp R5 produces and I don't want an apsc. So I'm still not feeling invited in to the Canon mirrorless ecosystem just yet. I feel like it will take something like a shutter failure on one of my DSLRs to get me there.
Canon will have to do a few things to differentiate the R6 III from the R5 II. My guesses, besides the things you mention, are: - No pre-burst capture - No AI accelerator - HD/240 but not 2K/240 - Two SD cards only (not buying the 6K). That also means no 4K/120. The R6 III will still be a phenomenal camera but folks will complain anyway.

It needs to be more video oriented. 12bit RAW, ProRes and C-Log 2 is a must. The Nikon z6III codecs are the new standards for 2025. Less then this is a no no🤙🏼

@@iabdulhaseeb go with the R6m2. Really. The R5m2 does not bring important features and the money is much better invested in Lenses!!!!

My R6II doesn’t overheat at all. Doubt we’ll go backwards on that.
