    Was browsing RUclips and came across this video
    Couldn’t believe it !! I have the matching gentleman’s wardrobe chest. Found her by a dumpster. She has a few bruises but she’s going to be beautiful when fixed up
    Thanks for sharing

    Sharp looking piece great job. I recently started watching your show and enjoy it very much. And that includes your narration which I find not condescending at all. Eagerly looking forward to your next show.

    A beautiful piece.
    Why anyone would paint over such lovely timber is one of life's mysterys.
    What on earth would possess someone to do that?
    Thankfully there is you to restore it.

    You did an amazing job on the nightstand! I just picked one up myself and plan to refinish it also! Question to you. Are these nightstands usually singular or do they come in a pair? Asking for sale price purposes, I have it a clue how much I should list it for 😅

    • @MadManRestorations
      @MadManRestorations  Год назад +2

      Nightstands always sell better as a pair. But this piece is cool enough to where someone may want a single one for an end table.

    Excellent job!
    Well at least only the top or near was gone in over near damage to the rest of the piece.
    Great color match, great information.
    What I god awful paint job that was.
    Good information regarding the different types of stain.

    Hello, love your work! I am working on a dresser right now, I am loving seeing all the products you use and will be trying out mohawk for my project. Just wondering why you use retarder at the end with the dura coat ? What is the purpose of the retarder ? Thank you so much in advance!!

    • @MadManRestorations
      @MadManRestorations  Год назад

      That's a good question. Adding a splash of retarder slows down the drying time of the lacquer. If the lacquer dries too fast it will blush. Which isn't the worst thing, you spray blush retarder from the can. Good luck. I'm here if you have any questions.

    Won’t the glaze wipe off the toner? You don’t seal in between?

    • @MadManRestorations
      @MadManRestorations  Год назад +1

      Surprisingly not as much as you would think. It's untraditional. But I only do it on legs and trim. I would never do it on a top or something like that.

    Amazing work, you did justice to the piece. But you could be a bit more humble - i.e. the "refinishers" comment seemed a little unnecessarily lol. Good luck.
