He looks perfect to me. He looks like what a real-world tank would look like in a robot mode I would think while capturing the essence of the character at the same time. Except for the lack of ratchets as you pointed out, I saw well done Zeta and fantastic review, Ben!
I've got one of the newer releases of this figure and the tracks are now rubber. Thanks Ben.
Why, oh why does the unique toys bots look perfect but the zeta toys bruticus looks spot on?! I want Ocular Max's bruticus but I fear it will never see the light of day.
The price is great. I have two zeta Ariel bots. I’m pleased. Love the look of blast off, but still stumped a bit on the combaticons...

If you want to set up the tracks without cramming the remaining in the chamber, detach 16 links off of each tank track. Feed the larger set of tracks from the upper leg, front side, down into the leg through bottom of the foot, and attach the links together. Then store your remaining tracks in a baggie or container that should have all your extra transformers parts. Or simplest and straight forward store parts in original box.
I like keeping his chest open to give him a broader shoulder and more arm
Movement. You can also move the turret further back for even move mobility.
With a little remold he'd make a great Generation 2 Megatron. (Which I really want)

Go to 4:12 and look at the back of the right lg.
You don't have that tread section clipped in right through the whole review. Shows up again at 14:11 on the same side in tank mode, that's why they keep falling off because you didn't secure them.
For the figure itself I love it. New chunky design and working treads shows 3P companies evolving. Also nice to see a more simplistic transformation than the menagerie of panels that their other 2 releases have.
Great review! He’s not bad looking, but I think they could have done better with the engineering. Personally, I’d go with the Unique Toys Brawl. Looking forward to seeing the complete set, though.
The cannon can move up, you need to pull it out more till it locks in place, then it frees up the up and down motion for the cannon.. But all in all awesome review
I found out that out can remove the front leg panels to access the tracks if you wanted to. It works okay.. but its still easier to just remove 16 links in robot mode.
The ill-fitting seem in the middle of the chest kind of bothers me. Also, I wish his tank mode was a little more real-world accurate. It's definitely closer there than the Unique Toys take, but the proportions and details are off. It's one of those situations where they're almost better off going with an original take than half imitating the real-world version of the vehicle.
I know, it's SUPPOSED to be a Leopard1A3/A4, but the G1 toy was a better representation. I'm familiar with the tank (I'm from Canada, and 1A3s were used by our military for a couple of decades). So trust me when I say the proportions and details are off. The hull is misshaped (too high, upper hull should be angled slightly, engine deck is too short, skirts are too long - but this is because of the hull height being off) etc etc. Also the excessive use of diamond plate looks silly.
See, it's not a bad looking TANK, it's just a bad looking Leopard. I know that's what they were trying for, and that compromises have to be made to make the transformation work, and that's why I say that it would have been better if they'd just gone for a non real-world looking tank. They wouldn't have to compromise on the details and it still could have looked good instead of trying to be something that they couldn't quite pull off.

I don't supposed they considered making the foot Transform into his Duel Sonic Cannons did they - He looks rather unbrawl like with out a pair of upper guns.
Either like Movie Brawl has or like the G1 toy or like the Warbotron one does with the duel machine guns - I think he just needs a pair of gun to look like a Brawl.
You or one of the reviewers were whining about the tanks not using tread. Now that one does one is whining about them making it that way. I think it's too much hassle but that it's really cool to have happen once.
I really do like what Zeta Toys is doing with their combiners.

The turret has up and down movement. Pull the barrel out fully
Makes me wonder since Zeta is re-releasing almost everything Toyworld came out with but under the Zeta brand,will they come out with Constructor/Devy under the Zeta brand? I see they are coming out with TW Dino Combiner so makes me wonder.
i.STiLL.FUNCTiON 510 i hope they do. I have five of six of the constructor set and would love to nab the missing bot from them to fi ish the set. Hopefully they come out individually.
luke allan Lol I feel your pain. Getting a Combiner and missing a limb. I went thru it with Feral Rex,had all limbs except Fortis/Tantrum. Rex couldn't stand lol.

Yeah, It's his original toy color, whereas his animation color is a bit more olive. Between looking at these molds, the G1 toys, and the animation models it's pretty clear they were leaning into toy inspired studio OX look so it'd make sense his colors reflect the toy too. That said, I bought the Bruticon toon inspired repaint cause it's like having the best of G1 inspired toy and animation together.

How does this compare to the Jinbao Ko oversized version? Same size?

seeing that issue with the tracks has helped my make my decision on choosing unique toys thats too much for me to handle for just one figure

theundeadranger10 I chose UT when I saw their Brawl and Swindle, but their Onslaught has a few issues. I hope UT provides a fix.
Still struggling too. UT's bots are great but I don't like their combined aesthetic very much, but Zeta NAILS it - because they CHEAT with a huge waist & thigh part that isn't part of any of the bots! And the Zeta bots look awful to boot. But he'll be combined 99% of his shelf life... aaargh, I'll probably just keep CW as my only Bruticus (with his PE add ons) out of indecision.
I will go with UT or wait to see if Fans Toys Makes one.
Mmc's is chug not mp so I will go with UT just wish there onslaught came with a gun.

Track is painful, but manageable. Bruticus is the key :)
New metallic Bruticon re-color sets have redone his tracks completely. They use rubber treads now, and the tracks fold in half and sit in the gap where the chain link track used to. Just that little thing made it such a better figure.

I'm convinced there was some black magic involved in MMC's designs. lol I wasn't really hot on Zeta until my friend brought his Bruticus over for game night last year. Normally I go for toon accuracy, but these guys felt like masterpiece versions of my actual G1 toys and I was right back in my sandbox again lol. I pounced on a Bruticon and a Superion set as soon as I could. I can see how they're not for everyone, but they've just really endeared themselves to me.
@@Posit_Zero_Blue I actually had all the Bruticon set and 2 of the zeta planes. When I saw how beautifully made FT maverick was and the imperfections of the 1st zeta combaticons- I sold them all. However, I have on preorder ZB-06 zeta airialbot set. I figured to have the better of the zeta sets cuz no telling when FT will get finished with their Stunts and Arialbots.
Hope much better than that helicopter. Blast off - I like. Hope this gives me more confidence in purchasing.

I'm not crying over the lack of ratchets, , I find most ratchets too limiting and all that clicking gets on my nerves. Give me a nice, tight friction or ball joint over ratchets any day. Sorry Ben and other ratchet joint fans.
thunderstudent Hearsay! Ratchet joints last longer and more stable.

The hatches open
I loved every member of Constructor but so far every member of Armageddon keeps dropping the ball. If he was the first member released, I probably would have bought Brawl but seeing how fiddly he is and the kibble heavy arms, I'm kind of glad I didn't as I have no desire to add these to my collection. I'm still not decided on Unique Toys either.
RM_Prime -- I have the first three UT Combaticons, and I recommend them!
RM_Prime It really depends on what you want, and how you'll display him. I'm buying Zeta because I want the better looking, more stable Bruticus, to go with my Constructor. But for Robot modes? Unique Toys I the way to go for that. MMC's upcoming CHUG scale Combaticons will probably be better than both though!

jfm424 same with Hercules, overshadowed by the newer, larger combiners. The "in" thing right now for 3rd party figures is MP scaled combiners and solo figures.

You must have been paid off. This guy's arms are horrible: there's no click out, no butterfly outward, no swivel and very loose. Crap figure.
All the Zeta individual bots in this set are terrible but the brawl feels like a $5 disposable crap toy.
All the figures are very floppy, too, like their aerialbots, which look 10 times better. If you think the kibble looks bad, wait until you try to pose the figure, the kibble flops everywhere and everything is loose; it doesn't tab in worth a snap, constantly comes unpegged. Terrible set.
For me, Zeta must improve itself if they want me buying anything else of theirs.
