Unpeg his BFG from his shoulder...put the peg in his hand and tilt the weapon forward a bit with the big part facing you. Raise his arm & curl his bicep so he can heft it on his shoulder... and now Swindle has a stinger missile type launcher. You could do the same with his G1 toy, but in keeping up with the theme of being an updated version of himself, a stinger style would be the modern-ish take on his old bazooka style weapon.
And for those of you who aren't getting the aesthetic of this guy...go take a peep at a G1 Swindle and it's bot mode will make more sense. If you're here looking at this figure and want animation accuracy... they gave you some options as least. If you're here looking at this figure and want something that really pays homage to the original G1 toys...jackpot!! Animation accuracy is good and all...but some people have more attachment to the physical toys they ruined in their sandbox as a kid lol.
When you put the head in, it catches on the front end of the vehicle mode, it is ideal to move the bonnet up a bit before completely folding the head away

I'll actually buy this for combo mode, like most people! as goods spoke as many pictures in the combined mode will be amazing! still has menasor to see which will be better .. next to him

This set and their Superion or so frkn bulky I can’t help but love them over any other option, for the most part I prefer the altered stylized and chunky designs for G1 figures as opposed to straight G1 designs, and the price of these figures is so frkn phenomenal I can’t help but go for this set,
just got mine. swindle is missing two small windows and the side panel on one side is wrong. they gave me 2 lefts. ugh

Man I really hope that Zeta Toys beef with Hasbro will end shortly and that they’ll come back with a Menasor and Defensor set, these figures looks amazing and are priced so well
Fck Hasbro - they have raped their consumers, they cherry pick what to make not based on fan desire, but cost of production and maximizing profits. They have become the Apple of toy companies.... instead of innovating and giving fans what they want, they are now more worried about suing the companies that are profiting for giving US ALL what WE want. I guess you can pray, it may work one day.
I like unique toys better but I love the size of combine mode better with zeta my 7 yr old daughter and I have a small collection of transformers feel free and check em out guys great review again

so glad i got the UT version and not this one...WAY to chunky in my opinion..and all the panels all over it ruin the look for me...shame to cause he looks pretty toy accurate...the litheness and overall toon accuracy of the UT version definitely wins out over this...great effort...just doesnt do it for me in the long run..great review as always Ben...keep em coming..EDIT: was trying to figure out how to word something...at the end of the day....the UT fits the HASTAK MP aestetic and and to me he fits in more with official product than this version does..

I don't know if I'd call a hum-vee vehicle mode "up to date".. It' a pretty dated design - almost 30 years old now.
If the G1 combaticons came out just a few years later, Swindle might have actually been a humvee in his alt mode!
Anyway, the Zeta robots look pretty hideous. I'm glad I opted for the UT versions.
I am getting the Zeta Aerialbots though. They may lack heft, but they look great in both modes.
I was thinking the same. How can Zeta be on such a win with the Aerialbots but drop the ball so badly on these guys?

Well, Ben did say "more modern." The Humvee came out in 1984, but the Combaticons were introduced in 1986. Licensing? The G1 toy was based on the 1969 FMC X311, making it nearly 50 years old, while the G1 cartoon was the Jeep, introduced in 1940, so that's nearly 80 years old.

Fair enough, but the U.S. Army & Marines still use Humvees as their main fleet vehicle. Their plan is to replace 15 to 30% of Humvees with other vehicles like the Oshkosh JLTVs. So the Humvees are here to stay for the 21st century.

Is this design based on a comic or something? To me these guys should be soldier-y, but instead they just look chunky and fat in bot mode, like they could barely move rather than running around on a battlefield.
Look at the original G1 toys. That's where the inspiration comes from.

I think you're trying very hard to like the bot modes. But they are really generic characters and look absurd.
Compare these bot to their G1 toy counterparts and the bot modes will make more sense.
