I would give this to Tarzan without equivocation. If anyone had actually read the Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan novels, you would realize that Tarzan was the king of his realm (the jungle). The Predator could go invisible, but this would not deter Tarzan. He grew up in the jungle and could hear every branch move. He was also as powerful as a gorilla, which could have stopped a Predator dead in its tracks. Tarzan could have easily snuck up behind a Predator and placed a wooden spear through his heart. Don't underestimate Tarzan. He wasn't a normal human being. From early childhood, he was taking on attacks that were superior to him -- eventually, he managed to master them. Just read a few of the Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan novels, and you'll realize this was not just another puny human. He was in fact superhuman, and I cannot see how any Predator would get the better of him in his own environment. Terrific to hear the original soundtrack. Too much time spent with Tarzan cowering. The ending third is just weird and needless. I think this could be a good movie ... if done correctly.

First off, I have to tell you that I did not like this video. A Predator would not seek a contest with an unarmed man. In the video Tarzan is not even carrying a knife. It would be considered dishonorable for a Predator to hunt/kill a man/woman who posed no threat. Secondly, Tarzan, here, is depicted as nothing but fresh meat -- not a worthy trophy. The Tarzan I remember from reading all of Burroughs' novels on Tarzan, is that he was a predator in his own right. Thus, I believe that Tarzan could have and should have taken advantage of his knowledge of the jungle's terrain, his heightened senses and (maybe) equal strength to launch a first attack. Instead, we see a Tarzan who is just running away. And, as I said before, the philosophizing at the end of the video is misplaced and boring. A contest between Tarzan and a Predator has the potential for being highly entertaining. I think Dark Horse Comics did a book on such a match-up, and I vaguely remember it being worth reading. Other than this single video, I am not familiar with DeWet's endeavors.

Um my problem with this was where was his trusty survival knife & pet chimpanzee cheetah or using his jungle animal friends for help , the elephant, lion and his ape family. Tarzan has the ability of communication with them. Also Tarazan knows how too make n use a bow & arrow + a spear for hunting or combat. From having contact with other jungle trides he learned combat skills and traps. Raised by apes he's stronger than the average man and agile too. This a better challenge for the Predator. A much better chance for the king of the jungle Tarzan too survive.

Great job guys. Had the alien just wanted to kill Tarzan and rip his back out he could’ve sneaked up on him at any time and done that. Predator diminished his power profile to have a fair fight, therefore a true test of his personal skills.

Tarzan vs Predator, all you need to do is watch the last 20 or so minutes of the original Predator movie, the closest Arnold ever got to playing Tarzan. Almost like a sparate mini flic to the rest of the movie, but fitted in well with the rest of the storyline.
Ur forgetting one thing how powerful the human mind is we as individuals learn from our mistakes witch in turn helps us survive yes that alien has technology that gives him an advantage and their issues is they depend on it to much while us humans use our surroundings and nature to help us I've learned thru the years that ur as weak as u allow it to be but if u think long and hard and apply ur self then we will always have a fighting chance remember that. Tarzan could see that which could not be seen. Hear what could not be heard. If any other Jungle creature responded to the "invisible' Predator then Tarzan would know. The birds and insects all where part of the Jungle and the Jungle would speak. If anything.... The Predator would realize how worthy an opponent Tarzan would be and what a cherished trophy. Then reveal itself and fight Tarzan with blade against blade. The Predators have a code they live by. At least in the books
The character as written by Burroughs was at least as strong as predator and was never without his fathers hunting knife. His hearing and sense of smell were far more acute than other humans. Nearly all simians could communicate with him. Predator would not have had much of a chance.

Tarzan vs Predator, all you need to do is watch the last 20 or so minutes of the original Predator movie, the closest Arnold ever got to playing Tarzan. Almost like a sparate mini flic to the rest of the movie, but fitted in well with the rest of the storyline.

Then reveal itself and fight Tarzan with blade against blade. The Predators have a code they live by. At least in the books
