The production value is above par for a fan film, the acting is solid, the creature effects are real good and the story is a decent tell. I appreciate what they did here. Hollywood needs to let creators do their thing more with minimum interference and fan films like this prove exactly why.
When the Lt. gave their p.o w the pistol and then the other soldier gave him the rest of his cigarette that part really showed some great writing and made the struggle with fighting an alien more relatable for myself. This short film was incredible and I would definitely play a video game of this conflict.

I always wanted to see a type of story like this with the Alien franchise in which we see xenomorphs in different time periods on earth and i really want to see more of these kind of stories . Not a xenomorph content but there's a predator fan movie on here set during the Middle Ages called Predator: Dark Ages. Very good acting and cinematography!
With decent funding this could’ve been a really good movie. The premise the plot, the environment were all wonderfully fresh for the Alien franchise. Stepping away from the Ripley knockoffs was a breath of fresh air. All my criticisms would most likely have been resolved around a longer runtime and an ability to have proper special effects. Very well done.
the only real criticism I have is them having Weyland Yutani Corporation products and facilities in this time period, as within the Aliens mythos WYC didn't exist until 2012 when it was founded. that was really the only thing out of place for it that was a discrepancy aside from the one scene where the commander picked up xeno blood at the start where they forgot it was acid blood for a second during filming, other than that it was a really nice watch with a fresh idea and storyboard, we already know xenomorphs have been around since before even the mayans, so it wouldn't be outlandish to have a film set during WW1 or something or even later/earlier than that. this franchise wouldn't necessarily have to be tethered to distant future settings tbh books and comics give plenty of resources for pre-futurism era encounters.
@@cyanyde4950I only seen the can of corn and it said Weyland, I couldn’t see the Yutani part, where was that? Also, what part did the commander touch the blood? Beautiful job. Just beautiful. The attention to the men, clothing and weapons is spooky good. I'm looking forward to Alien Romulus with Fede Alvarez at the helm.
Outstanding! Well done! I saw the first film when it first came out and was a fan from the get go! At the time, it was the scariest movie I have ever seen! Great job to everyone involved!
The background of the trenches gives off the same claustrophobic atmosphere as in the originals, but it shows in the end that wide open spaces does not mean safety. Even before watching, the poster of the Lieutenant draws me to watch it because he reminds me of 'Sisu'. All in all, a very well made short.
It was on the label of the can of corn, too - about 10 minutes in, after they set up the machine gun at the entrance to the tunnel. It's that little attention to detail and little Easter eggs that push thing over the edge from really good into fantastic.
Weyland Corp. seems to be a reference to the mythological Norse and Anglo-Saxon figure Wayland or Weyland the smith (in German he is called Wieland). Resembles somewhat the mythological Greek master craftsman Icarus.
@@wolfgangkranek376 nod to Weyland Utani Corp, the makers of the Droid Models, Bishops. The nefarious behind the scenes company all the films dealt with.

Fkn amazing. WW1 soldiers trench-fighting ALIENS? Never even imagined but this is oustanding work, fellas. You brought a completely fresh scenario to screen. Loved the scene at 16:22 when the gas-masked soldier stabs the alien with his knife and the shot at 16:50 with the soldier shooting his rifle at it. The silhouette and the bayonet on the rifle look beautiful.
Some films stand out as masterpieces of their genre. This is the perfect example. I watched this about six months ago - I'll check later and see - and I remember I thought about it for days afterwards, it left that powerful an impression on me. I enthused to others for weeks and rightly so. It's turned up, again, in my feed, so I'm about to watch it for a second time, knowing it's time enjoyably well spent. Anyone thinking of watching it - don't think, just dive in, I guarantee you'll love it.
It's the little touches that makes this so much better than anything I've seen in the last few years ( I say few...but it's probably a lot more than that). The fact that there was a can of 'Corn Bread' produced by Weyland & (enter another name here...I couldn't read the other name) gave me bloody chills. The Aussies and the Turks were ferocious fighters against each other in WW1. However, they would celebrate Christmas together and then get on with the fighting afterwards on an agreed time. It was a bloody mess, but the respect shown for each side by the other was always there. That's why we Aussies go back to reunite with our Turk mates every year on ANZAC Day. That was a great scene in this wonderful film that showed that you can bond over the shitstorm reigning over you. Dealing with the incomprehensible nightmare that you need to stick together. Thanks guys and gals!
Outstanding fan film, Fox should give these people the funding to make a Full Alien feature because the passion & care gone into this fan film is commendable. Awesome movie 👍
Yeah, that was definitely a Camel Spider😳😬 Out-frackin-standing!! Definitely THE best Alien fan-film. The setting is inspired, the script and dialogue is excellent, awesome acting and fantastic SFX/Costumes. The sound design is also top notch! Everyone involved in this project deserves massive props for their sterling work and obvious love for the source material 🫡
Probably the best short I have ever seen. Pacing was excellent as was the back story. I encourage you to continue with your trade. Very well done. Thank you!
Wow. I like how all aspects of the franchise was captured in snipets. And in the end we are all on the same side when we face a bigger threat against our shared humanity. the wheat field idea at the end?.. fantastic. And this is supposedly amateur? Give these guys a huge budget please. Who else thought it was even better than some of the actual franchise projects. For a short film the attention to detail was fantastic just wow
Amateur, ya right, more like, "Amateur". This is a bunch people probably teachers at some film skill with effects school as well, so hardly just people doing it on the side.
What a refreshing timeframe! I think more alien movies should explore the possibilities of using other time periods and nations! Great work! This should be a major motion picture!
Magnificent!! This is how you do a film... great story... great characters... and wise use of budget!!!! This is so much better than a lot of stuff put out by studios with obscene budgets (Money for nothing!!)... Love the Weyland nod... The passion for the brand is evident!!! Respect!!!!
If l was a millionaire I would give Kennedyboyproductions a large chunk of cash to make this into a full feature length film! Absolutely outstanding 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🏆👍
That really was top notch !!!! From the beginning scenes going back and forth from the bullets on the ground with ants running circles around them, to the old time music at the very end. These guys have an eye and great feel for making films. Well done !!!! Honestly, I usually put the speed up for a lot of fan films, because of the slow paced editing... Etc... I watched this the whole way through on normal speed...lol I'd love to see more from them !!! I felt the grit the entire way through this period piece so to say. It held its edge the entire way through. Curious to the budget and stuff too. Well done !!!! Have a great day !!!!! :-)
BUT in every film they are fast and they don't spend much time stood up like a guy in a suit. Obviously with budget constraints,no quality CGI, graphics equipment and skill that couldn't make them look great. That's why they should of used a couple of quick appearances. Often the less you see is more effective.!!

Excellent. Un plaisir à regarder. Toutes ces petites merveilles sonnent la fin des grosses productions qui n'ont plus d'idée.
I've never heard of this movie and came across it by accident, but I have to say. "I really enjoyed it." I love movies where I can't tell what is happening or original. This ticked all the boxes and more. I wilk share and recommend it to family and friends. 🇮🇪✌️
Yep I was the same just happened to accidentally stumbled across this..glad I did
Beautiful job.
The dynamite box saying Wayland &Co. is such a great detail
So Weyland Corp. been into shit since WW I huh?
The knife at the start killing the BUG is another ,it's full of awesome call backs ,all the awesome call backs through there dialect is off the scale ,masterpiece made by fans for us fans ⚔️👽🔥
Such a great homage to the Alien franchise. Give these guys a blockbuster budget and make it a feature film. I'm starving for more
Fkn amazing.
Thanks, that's one of my fav shots too! :)
That was excellent! Great camera work, well acted, good easy to follow story! Good job!
This is brilliant! Well done! The Lieutenant was amazing! What a role, super acting. I felt it in my bones.
That was excellent. Great acting, writing, cinematography, sound, and everything else. Most impressive. Thanks.
Sad when fans of a series can create a superior story to what the studios trowel out--over and over and over and over... Thank you, Kennedyboy Prods.!
Hollywood has not cared about making quality films for a long time.
What a fresh and invigorating take on the Alien franchise. Better than most of the Alien films with a much smaller budget. Amazing.
Thanks for watching and great comments! :)
Yes The" Corn Bread" can by Weyland & Co its one of those "SMALL" things that makes this film worth
He deserved a short film award.
ya man! good job! nice little short, really enjoyed it :)
Holy heck! Great work! I didn't expect it to be this well made. Well worth a watch if you haven't done so yet
Awesome! The highlight for me was the last stand between the lieutenant and the xenos, with the voice over flashback….chef’s kiss 💋
Probably the best short I have ever seen. Pacing was excellent as was the back story. I encourage you to continue with your trade. Very well done. Thank you!
Ok so some studio needs to give these guys 100 million dollars to make a full length feature and Hollywood will eat some humble pie
Well done guys. With what you had to work with you made an amazing piece of fan art. Thank you for sharing this with us.
A fanmade film has given us a hero to sit beside Ripley herself. Gripping, and perfect balanced pacing of action and suspense to match Aliens.
Brilliant Alien-Fan-Movie. Great acting. Very well done. You did a very good job. Ridley Scott would’ve been amazed! 🍿🥤🤩👍🏽
This was magnificent!! Everyone involved should be proud of this!!
Outstanding- actors, script, cinematography, direction - an absolute pleasure to watch this. 👍🏽
Even the camera work and dialogue was well done, acting brilliant. A1plus.
Mad respect for this project and the production crew. This isnt your typical fan film.
What a refreshing timeframe! I think more alien movies should explore the possibilities of using other time periods and nations! Great work! This should be a major motion picture!
Agree! Well shot, fantastic acting, great period choice and I loved the practical special effects - gritty and real!
There is a novel called ‘Aliens , phalanx’. It’s superb .
Ridley Scott would be proud 👍🏻🏴
Agreed mate, this was pure off the scale 👌🏴
Who cares, he ran the franchise into the ground.
@@Jayskiallthewayski and these guys have picked it right back up again and put it at the forefront ⚔️💙
Soon be a million views and it will keep flying ,true masterpiece 💙
It makes sense and is somewhat enjoyable so Ridley Scott would hate it.
Bravo 👏. Ironic how a ‘low budget’ fan made film is better than 80% of what Hollywood puts out~
LOL
Aussie made??
This is awesome, if you are not in the Fan Film Directors Awards, you should be.
omg that was really good! I really enjoyed this. amazing acting and effects and story. I dont think I blinked
Exceptional production for a micro budget short. Well done to all those involved, especially Christian Kennedy.
Thanks 🙏
Excellent job. Acting, sound effects, practical effects. Super good!!
Amazing work. As a lifelong Alien fan, I appreciate taking the franchise to a not seen before location and timeline.
Excellent job. Fair play to you and your crew. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. I wish y'all nothing but success.
I just stumbled over this and as a huge Alien fan i loved every minute of this Movie. Amazing work!
I’m always amazed when I see well done fan films; the effort and skill that go into the scripting, acting and production. This film is no exception.
This film is amazing it’s a interesting take on alien never thought it was on earth let alone world war 1
Etc...
I watched this the whole way through on normal speed...lol
I'd love to see more from them !!!
I felt the grit the entire way through this period piece so to say.
It held its edge the entire way through.
Curious to the budget and stuff too.
Well done !!!!
Have a great day !!!!!
:-)
Absolutely 💯 awesome 👏. I can see where the future of great film makers is coming from. And it’s not hollywood. Absolutely outstanding.
Это Россия и Это было, и это страшно!!! Мы свои земли и людей не бросаем! Все к Богу пойдем! Кто то, кто то пизже -все там будем!! Божий суд!!!
What an amazing film, I am so glad I watched it. Hats off to the team who made this as it is so believable. Regards and please produce another one.
absolutely loved how the aliens where portrayed in this, slow, methodical, and outright scary due to this, amazing work
BUT in every film they are fast and they don't spend much time stood up like a guy in a suit.
Obviously with budget constraints,no quality CGI, graphics equipment and skill that couldn't make them look great.
That's why they should of used a couple of quick appearances.
Often the less you see is more effective.!!
@@rikaardyyz3039 ey? pretty sure in alien 1 they are mostly hiding in the shadows and then at the end when one is on the ship it moves slow too, almost sttalking her, it crawls out slow from under the pipes if i remember right, it was in 3 they got fast as came out of a dog and then was underwater so swam fast in 4
@@rikaardyyz3039 also i have defo seen them stand up on 2 legs throughout the films lol most of them do its just the dog ones in 3that dont, even in 4 at the start there is 2 in the cage that are both stood up then one attacks the other.....
Listen my brother. You and whomever is behind this film needs to make more like your own mini series of these Xenomorph films. These are the same Xenomorph suits from Aliens back in 1986. This was really great for a fan base film and you should work with Ridley Scott and the rest of the Alien franchise. Would be great if you can do mini films like this based on the Dark Horse comic stories. Like Aliens Nightmare Asylum and Labyrinth and Berserker and Colonial Marines just to name a few classics. Etc etc. wish you all the best of success. Please bring us more!!!
Very impressive for a fan film
Give these guys a budget for Full production
YOU GUYS DESERVE AN OSCAR, I haven't seen a alien fanfilm terrify me as much like this in a long time, absolutely peak cinema.
Alien Romulus spin-off. The story of those left at home .. Seriously, having made the necessary proportions this is an excellent job. Bravi!
Excellent! A real movie! Believable people, facing crazy unknown times with courage. Put together!
