It's a hell of a coincidence that this movie had a stuffed animal for the child be as much as a narrative device as the new Mad Max movie that only came out a few days ago. Uncanny. Great work.
Probably not a coincidence since game version of Glory is apparently based on Miller's concept later reused for young Furiosa (daughter of Dementus, has a teddy bear keepsake, watched her mother's murder etc)
Having been on a number of passion projects I know what everyone went through to make this, and the drive and commitment to make it happen. Congratulations to EVERYONE for what you've made here. This shows what talent and desire can do outside of the "mainstream" film media....with so much less money. Hopefully someone will recognize this and bring resources for the next project. This is an awesome achievement. Production value is so high, and paid for with sweat, no sleep, sacrifice, putting families on hold, and determination. You nailed it. What a talented bunch of people.
The fact that this is 10x better than most big time budget productions speaks volumes. Not only that, but it's clearly paying tribute to the 2015 video game and is just pure perfection!
This is excellent! Full stop. I wish we had a film industry that respected the actual fanbase and audience and source material (took the effort to write with genuine creativity original projects for entertainment not other ambitions). Independent productions, fan creations are something you look forward to more than lame ass big studio with lame ass big cinema releases nowadays. Ok so, I started watching this thinking “oh cool so it’ll be like a story driven mad max, obviously without the car crashes and stuff for budget” and I was absolutely floored to see a car crash a few mins in. I’m watching a MAD MAX movie and a car crash took me COMPLETELY by surprise. How awesome is that?
Very impressed. For a fan made movie, this was 100% engaging. Acting was great, effects were great, and the story was sound. It would be nice to see the actor who portrayed Max come back to do another. He was excellent. The car was a fantastic replica and convincing (The blower not so much but who cares!). Overall, I have to say BRAVO to the cast and team who put this together!
Absolutely awesome. I always considered myself as the biggest Mad Max Fan on Earth, but this put my fandom to shame. I cannot even fathom to express my admiration to imagine and even finish a project like that. A billion thumbs up!

Even if not every shot we filmed ended up in the final movie, your energy translates to the screen and makes for memorable moments. Especially the close-up of the eye, the raiding-scenes in the beginning and the visions make an impact. Speaking as a huge fan of the game, this was great to see the Hope and Glory side mission done as a film (with a few minor changes). Fantastic work. Translating the game to screen makes sense, as the Hope and Glory storyline came directly from Miller's own documents and scripts that Warner had ownership of at the time. Some of it was from the unproduced "Wasteland" film. This was brilliantly done on all fronts. And just speaking as a Max fan, in general, I can't thank you enough, as it's another film to add to my marathons. It's that well done.
A a long-term devotee of the original Mad Max saga, I must say that the effort, the attention to detail as well as the love you have all put into this project is inspiring. It is a wonderful homage to the films and rarely has such high quality been witnessed in a fan film. Congratulations to you all for persevering with this project, it cannot have been easy (or cheap) to produce but it is fans like you who keep Max moving across the Wasteland, in the last of the V8 Interceptors. It would have been a shame to blow it up. Love and respect to you all.

This has been my favorite franchise since I was a little kid in the 80s. So much so I became a filmmaker after I left the Military. This is full on movie theater quality stuff. With what you guys had to work with this is astounding. Can't even imagine what you could do with time, permits, budget, stunt team and all that. Even without the big hollywood stuff mentioned above, this is Canon worthy. I truly hope George sees this and brings the team on board for the next flick. Also the leading man is destined for greatness for sure.
I've ignored this for a week now every time it popped up on my feed. Wrote it off. Balsy. Could never be good. How can a fan film embody an iota of the MAD MAX vibes. You need insane production values for that. But what a pleasant surprise. GREAT WORK! The cinematography is great! The car battle scenes are effective and don't look cheap.
If I hadn't known in advance that this work was a fan film for fans of the MAD Max series, I would probably have waited for a release date to buy my next cinema ticket. I mean wow! What kind of tear have we just been behind us? Everything just fit there. At this point, I would like to express my absolute respect to the entire team, in front of and behind the camera. You can feel the love and passion you have put into this project. Special praise goes to the young lady, who is putting on an incredible performance just at the end of the film. I can't say in words how proud we are right here on land what you have put together. Hollywood watch out, a storm is on 💪🏻
Didn't really know what to expect from this, but I really liked it. It captures Mad Max post-apocalyptic world perfectly. The actor does a great job portraying Max. I felt the script also was well written and pays homage to the original films. I particularly liked the bones of a ruined city, something new that we really haven't seen in the Mad Max world. I also really liked too that even though Max is a haunted loner, he still questions himself, revealing his humanity. Hes not just a killer that has lost all hope, though he might appear that way on the surface. Deep down, hope is still trying to pierce through the clouds of insanity that is the world and experience he lives on a daily basis. I will be recommending this to my friends. Well done.

I love some of the references to the Mad Max game like at 2:19 the way he's eating the dog food and throwing the can. And at 4:28 the way you can ram and destroy enemy vehicles. Or at 5:29 the way you drink water in the game same pose and everything. And finally at 28:15 the way you put the gas can into the back of your car in the game with the same sound effects too.

The part where the daughter dies is one of the most heartbreaking scenes ive ever seen. She died with terror and hopelessness in her eyes. Just crushing. GREAT movie.
So great to see a MAD MAX project where Max has both his signature weapon and car AND the means to use them both. Really gives me that classic action hero feel. 10/10 would have paid full ticket price to see this.
This might be the fist Fanfilm I have seen, that feels like part of the Universe. I think George Miller couldn't had done it much better. This looks very professional.
Honestly, you should do your own Wasteland-Movie. The practical effects, the costumes and the worldbuilding look better and more interesting than in most current (professional) apocalyptic films. I really would like to see more of this, but on a big screen.

i love the fact that max kinda looks like a cross of Gibson and Hardy’s portrayals of the character hell even with some of the video game added for additional detail

Das Ende ist natürlich extrem traurig und schade, aber was die Leistung aller Beteiligten angeht, muss man sagen: Hut ab! Aus Filmemacher-Sicht absolut hochwertig, allein, wenn man im Abspann sieht mit was für Produkten gearbeitet wurde (ARRI, Aputure, Dolby...). Aber all das sind nur Werkzeuge, die nichts wären, wenn es kein gutes Drehbuch und kein gutes Team im Hintergrund gäbe. Dieser Film hätte auf jeden Fall millionenmal mehr Daumen hoch verdient!

If we quote the magnificent FURY ROAD, it should feel right. Our sound-team recorded our V8 for two days and delivered the elements, so the sound-designer could bring the roaring Interceptor to life.
I can't believe I didn't see this sooner! It didn't show up on my feed till a month later. Bravo to everyone who worked on this fan film! I'm absolutely astounded with the hard work you all put it! I didn't think we'd get to see the Interceptor or any car action but you guys done did it! You should all be proud of yourselves. We've seen the Hope and Glory story in the comic and game but I have to admit I cared about them here a lot more than the previous takes. I'm not there biggest fan but here I gotta say I like them. For what little we see them here they were great. Max was portrayed very well! Kinda gives me a little of Tom Hardy's feral Max and a little of Mel Gibson's Max. Blend with the two. Just an awesome fan film!
Wow! I was blown away by how character and world-accurate this was at all times!!! 😊 Felt like a true Max adventure, just a slightly shorter, more character-driven one. I gasped at the twist, even though I could feel the same dread Max eventually did going back. End line was also so fun and bittersweet! “Just a full tank of gas” 10/10 I want more episodes
Well done. Daniel Graves did an excellent job bringing this version of Max to life. Love the Romero colour pallet. Props and Art Direction are fantastic, The sound design is really well done. I know how hard it is to make a film, this was awesome.
This was absolutely incredible. Thank you for making this. I consider this canon and will add it to my future rewatches of the Mad Max movies. Also THANK YOU for keeping the Interceptor intact and giving it a big role in your film. I'm sick of George Miller constantly destroying it 😂

That was by far the best fan film I've ever seen. The acting at some points could have been a bit better, yes, but hey given the circumstances and I assume very small budget, you guys did a very good job. The camera work, the costumes, makeup, cars...everything was very impressive. Well done! It wasn't boring at all, not a single minute. You have my fullest respect. Btw the daughter had the best performance. That dying scene, not bad, not bad.

Man I gotta say, I sooooo enjoyed this. I commend the work and can honestly say I understand the sheer amount of work that it takes to make something like this. I too was Inspired by Fury Road and ended up making 3 of my own dystopian shorts partially because of that. A series of films called "The Survivors". We make then for next to nothing except purely the love of film making. Congrats on the positive reception of this wonderful film. From the Cinematography, to the score, to the sound design, all of it, I love this film to pieces.
This film is incredible. A 40-minute short made by fans, it was better than 90% of the uncreative movies we see in Hollywood nowadays. Congratulations on all the work the cast put into the production, and I hope that one day you guys make a sequel to this film. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

Having been on a number of passion projects I know what everyone went through to make this, and the drive and commitment to make it happen. Congratulations to EVERYONE for what you've made here. This shows what talent and desire can do outside of the "mainstream" film media....with so much less money. Hopefully someone will recognize this and bring resources for the next project. This is an awesome achievement. Production value is so high, and paid for with sweat, no sleep, sacrifice, putting families on hold, and determination. You nailed it. What a talented bunch of people.
The fact that this is 10x better than most big time budget productions speaks volumes. Not only that, but it's clearly paying tribute to the 2015 video game and is just pure perfection!

I wish we had a film industry that respected the actual fanbase and audience and source material (took the effort to write with genuine creativity original projects for entertainment not other ambitions). Independent productions, fan creations are something you look forward to more than lame ass big studio with lame ass big cinema releases nowadays. Ok so, I started watching this thinking “oh cool so it’ll be like a story driven mad max, obviously without the car crashes and stuff for budget” and I was absolutely floored to see a car crash a few mins in.
I’m watching a MAD MAX movie and a car crash took me COMPLETELY by surprise. How awesome is that?

Very impressed. For a fan made movie, this was 100% engaging. Acting was great, effects were great, and the story was sound. It would be nice to see the actor who portrayed Max come back to do another. He was excellent. The car was a fantastic replica and convincing (The blower not so much but who cares!). Overall, I have to say BRAVO to the cast and team who put this together!

Original mad max had low budget. Not super hard to make a mad max. This one was pretty good
Speaking as a huge fan of the game, this was great to see the Hope and Glory side mission done as a film (with a few minor changes). Fantastic work. Translating the game to screen makes sense, as the Hope and Glory storyline came directly from Miller's own documents and scripts that Warner had ownership of at the time. Some of it was from the unproduced "Wasteland" film. This was brilliantly done on all fronts. And just speaking as a Max fan, in general, I can't thank you enough, as it's another film to add to my marathons. It's that well done.

A a long-term devotee of the original Mad Max saga, I must say that the effort, the attention to detail as well as the love you have all put into this project is inspiring. It is a wonderful homage to the films and rarely has such high quality been witnessed in a fan film. Congratulations to you all for persevering with this project, it cannot have been easy (or cheap) to produce but it is fans like you who keep Max moving across the Wasteland, in the last of the V8 Interceptors. This has been my favorite franchise since I was a little kid in the 80s. So much so I became a filmmaker after I left the Military. This is full on movie theater quality stuff. With what you guys had to work with this is astounding. Can't even imagine what you could do with time, permits, budget, stunt team and all that. Even without the big hollywood stuff mentioned above, this is Canon worthy. I truly hope George sees this and brings the team on board for the next flick. Also the leading man is destined for greatness for sure.
Now I want more, a sequel to this fan film.

I've ignored this for a week now every time it popped up on my feed. Wrote it off. Balsy. Could never be good. How can a fan film embody an iota of the MAD MAX vibes. You need insane production values for that. But what a pleasant surprise. GREAT WORK! The cinematography is great! The car battle scenes are effective and don't look cheap.

If I hadn't known in advance that this work was a fan film for fans of the MAD Max series, I would probably have waited for a release date to buy my next cinema ticket. I mean wow! What kind of tear have we just been behind us? Everything just fit there.

You can feel the love and passion you have put into this project. Special praise goes to the young lady, who is putting on an incredible performance just at the end of the film.

Didn't really know what to expect from this, but I really liked it. It captures Mad Max post-apocalyptic world perfectly. The actor does a great job portraying Max. I felt the script also was well written and pays homage to the original films. I particularly liked the bones of a ruined city, something new that we really haven't seen in the Mad Max world. I also really liked too that even though Max is a haunted loner, he still questions himself, revealing his humanity. Hes not just a killer that has lost all hope, though he might appear that way on the surface. Deep down, hope is still trying to pierce through the clouds of insanity that is the world and experience he lives on a daily basis. I will be recommending this to my friends. Well done.

I love some of the references to the Mad Max game like at 2:19 the way he's eating the dog food and throwing the can. And at 4:28 the way you can ram and destroy enemy vehicles. Or at 5:29 the way you drink water in the game same pose and everything. And finally at 28:15 the way you put the gas can into the back of your car in the game with the same sound effects too.

The part where the daughter dies is one of the most heartbreaking scenes ive ever seen. She died with terror and hopelessness in her eyes. Just crushing. GREAT movie.

Honestly, you should do your own Wasteland-Movie. The practical effects, the costumes and the worldbuilding look better and more interesting than in most current (professional) apocalyptic films. I really would like to see more of this, but on a big screen.

Das Ende ist natürlich extrem traurig und schade, aber was die Leistung aller Beteiligten angeht, muss man sagen: Hut ab! Aus Filmemacher-Sicht absolut hochwertig, allein, wenn man im Abspann sieht mit was für Produkten gearbeitet wurde (ARRI, Aputure, Dolby...). Aber all das sind nur Werkzeuge, die nichts wären, wenn es kein gutes Drehbuch und kein gutes Team im Hintergrund gäbe. Dieser Film hätte auf jeden Fall millionenmal mehr Daumen hoch verdient!

33:15 The Fury Road-esque Blower fire up gave me chills and I love it.
If we quote the magnificent FURY ROAD, it should feel right. Our sound-team recorded our V8 for two days and delivered the elements, so the sound-designer could bring the roaring Interceptor to life.
I can't believe I didn't see this sooner! It didn't show up on my feed till a month later. Bravo to everyone who worked on this fan film! I'm absolutely astounded with the hard work you all put it! I didn't think we'd get to see the Interceptor or any car action but you guys done did it! You should all be proud of yourselves. We've seen the Hope and Glory story in the comic and game but I have to admit I cared about them here a lot more than the previous takes. I'm not there biggest fan but here I gotta say I like them. For what little we see them here they were great. Max was portrayed very well! Kinda gives me a little of Tom Hardy's feral Max and a little of Mel Gibson's Max. Blend with the two. Just an awesome fan film!

Wow! I was blown away by how character and world-accurate this was at all times!!! 😊 Felt like a true Max adventure, just a slightly shorter, more character-driven one. I gasped at the twist, even though I could feel the same dread Max eventually did going back. End line was also so fun and bittersweet! “Just a full tank of gas” 10/10 I want more episodes
Well done. Daniel Graves did an excellent job bringing this version of Max to life. Love the Romero colour pallet. Props and Art Direction are fantastic, The sound design is really well done. I know how hard it is to make a film, this was awesome.

what you have done here. This is amazing , The Hope and Glory side plot is great - to make this movie version, and do it so well - thank you. You have earned your self many fans for doing this . I can only hope George Miller see's this - I've always wanted them to make 'The Wasteland' movie . And no matter what anybody says - Max is not Max without his Interceptor.. Thank you

That was by far the best fan film I've ever seen. The acting at some points could have been a bit better, yes, but hey given the circumstances and I assume very small budget, you guys did a very good job. The camera work, the costumes, makeup, cars...everything was very impressive. Well done! It wasn't boring at all, not a single minute. You have my fullest respect. Btw the daughter had the best performance. That dying scene, not bad, not bad.

I never comment but I had to come on here and say. This is the best fan made production I have ever seen. Totally and completely better then most huge Hollywood films these days. Kudos to Brightstone Pictures, will be looking forward to their future projects!

Are you kiddin? Sounds are all on the same lvl. U must have a main sound and back. And something must be lower or higher to not fight with another sound. In this i hear every sound very clearly. Its bad

Überragend! Was ihr da abgezogen habt, ist der pure Wahnsinn. Ich dachte, da kommt so ein bisschen Crash Boom Bang und nach zehn Minuten ist der Drops gelutscht, und dann kommt so ein professionell produzierter Film. Weiter so!

Man I gotta say, I sooooo enjoyed this. I commend the work and can honestly say I understand the sheer amount of work that it takes to make something like this. I too was Inspired by Fury Road and ended up making 3 of my own dystopian shorts partially because of that. A series of films called "The Survivors". We make then for next to nothing except purely the love of film making. Congrats on the positive reception of this wonderful film. From the Cinematography, to the score, to the sound design, all of it, I love this film to pieces.
This film is incredible. A 40-minute short made by fans, it was better than 90% of the uncreative movies we see in Hollywood nowadays. Congratulations on all the work the cast put into the production, and I hope that one day you guys make a sequel to this film. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

All these comments and I can’t believe nobody has mentioned the young lady’s dying scene, imo, I think she was incredible, I was lost there for a moment. Brilliant! The rest of the film was excellent considering what is was and the budget.
