I have to admit, I didn't experience much of Jordan's era and I am very much of a Kobe Fan. But the more I watched these MJ videos and listen to him talk, I have now become so inspired by him and I can see why my idol treats him as an idol. So well-mannered, well-spoken, highly educated and intelligent, fully confidant of who he is and what he has done and will do. Damn, talking about natural jealousy, I def. feel that about him...
3:10 WHAT?! I didn't know Jordan was the first NBA player to get 200 steals and 100 blocks in the same season. And he did it TWICE! Not to mention the scoring title! To hell with your comparisons, Jordan stands alone! #GOAT!
He is so mature, well spoken, well rounded and grounded and charismatic. Most the NBA players today just don't have this level of awareness and charisma.
I have been watching Michael since he first came in the league, I LOVE the way he plays, he's so humble. I have every book, magazine, that has his name on it. I have so many tapes of his games, hats, shoes, everything, I just LOVE that Man.
Only he and Wilt have scored 3000 points in a season... It really is insane. I remember that year like it was yesterday. He was dropping 40 a night all the time on everyone... I have not seen anyone that unstoppable on both ends of the court.... Lots of nice offensive stats by some but the defensive dominance was a true separator the best superstar defender ever!!!
I remember I used to see this clip in the opening of the show and always wished I caught the re-run. I don't think I actually saw it until ESPN Classic ran it after MJ retired again in 1998. Now we can just watch all this stuff whenever we want. Crazy.
I love how he says Isaiah Thomas and Magic Johnson were jealous of him. That takes some balls....big giant brass ones. Of course, what basketball player wouldn't be jealous of this guy???
True professional. You can’t say much negative things about this man. People that say he was a terrible teammate have never played an organized sport with a good player on it and the leader on top of that. MJ took that role for the sake of WINNING and TEAM SUCCESS. This man is the STANDARD. The BAR……
I always liked listening to MJ in an interview, I just listened to the one post game 5th championship 1997, it's incredible the respect he has for his teammates who have never won before, the respect of the fans, of Pippen , from the city of Chicago, I recommend you listen to it if you haven't seen it, it's very pleasant
@@DoulsTIM Ive watched MJ since his draft year. 1984. I was 6 yrs old. My uncles and papa was avid sports fans and I remember when they used to mention the names Dr. J, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the one they just couldn’t wait to watch was Michael Jordan. Pure adrenaline rush. Even at that age, I was glued to the TV. Just an out of this world type of athlete. Unbelievable…..
The best interviewer...he gave people a sense of comfort and his commentary of their experiences were unique and gave added thought to their answers.. He was a unique interviewer
Once again Brad Sellers fucking something up for Michael Jordan. How many assist would Mike have if Brad could've made half of those 15 footers that he missed.
Such a stark contrast to how the self-centered, egomaniacal, ineloquent, losing finals record, excuse maker, injury faker Lebronze talks in interviews.

He had two parents as a kid - most today do not
@@gunsandpoker7432 Many have two parents and never grew up to be as mature as MJ.
@@NotaPizzaGRL Nice nitpicking
@@NotaPizzaGRL Success comes with a price. Not many people understand that, you included.
Some NBA players today cant even speak the English language properly unfortunately.

Mike with the Alvin Robertson shout out...ppl don't remember how much of a clutch perimeter defender Alvin was in the 80s
I remember the interviewer from back in the day, this was a great interview he was very intimate in his questions
37 ppg is absolutely insane
Especially back then when it wasn't an all three point shooting contest league with no defense. Oh and being able to travel on every possession.

What a great interview. Love him he's a true competitor.
He truly loves the game.
37 ppg with less than 3 3 point attempts per game insane!!
And he did it at 6,5

Thats why hes the goat
It's even more insane averaging 50 pts with no 3pts in the league.
If he's the Michael Jackson of professional sports then he must be really good!
You never heard of or watched any of his games?

Man what a winner mindset this young man has
What’s crazy is in 2024 Michael and Magic could get together and go to another Tyson fight.
MJ will always be the greatest
Can you imagine him going to Las Vegas to get Dennis rodman out of a hotel room to come to the game
Awesome upload! You even kept the commercials.
Nobody like mike ever no one could out do him in his time
He was losing hair around this time and that was because the GOAT was forming
