It’s sad that Pippen cared so much about it. Everybody knows the name Scottie Pippen and knows he was all time great. But the dude only shot 70% at the stripe, which is usually a good indication that someone is not a pure shooter. There was absolutely no reason he should have felt that he needed to take any game winners. Especially in ‘97 when you have the option of Steve Kerr, who since joining the Bulls 2 seasons prior was shooting 49% from behind the arc. FORTY-NINE PERCENT. The only reason Pippen wanted to shoot the game winners so bad is because of the boiling jealousy he had of MJ that he hid for many many years. Who, by the way, always always always (but maybe not anymore after the shit he talked) made sure to remind ppl that he never won a championship without Scottie.
