Just look at the love MJ receives from the fans of Chicago in just his 5th season in the league. And now compared that to how Ja Morant and Zion Williamson today. Big difference of maturity and how they conduct themselves on and off the court.
I was a huge fan of the 1990s Chicago Bulls, primarily because of Michael Jordan. I had a piece of tape on the back of my bedroom door, marking his height and my own height of 5’0”: just one of the many ways I wanted to ‘be like Mike’!
Geeeese, what fun memories for you, David and us. But gosh, the legacy of gifts you laid out for our eyes to see and ears to hear every night is astoundingly awesome!
For those who are wondering, that year the Bulls did defeat Cleveland, and did face and defeat New York in the next round, but then lost to the Detroit Pistons in the round after that. The league MVP for that season was Magic Johnson, but Jordan won the previous year, and would go on to win four more times.
May 4th, 1989, Michael Jordan appeared on the David Letterman show and right before Dave brought him out, he called Michael “the greatest basketball in the world today…” this was BEFORE he’d one a single championship with the bulls, Michael Jordan was being called a goat before he actually became a Champion…think bout that…
@ 4:47 "THE MILK MAN IS ABOUT 6'7"
THE JOKE THAT KEEPS ON GIVING LAUGHTER
I was actually in the audience for that taping (one of only two times I've seen Dave live--the other was at the Ed in 2011). What an amazing time.
that is absolutely crazy.

1:43 MJ rockin’ the coveted Air Loafers
GOAT Forever and Ever. Period. No story needed.
I love this man and I loved the Chicago Bulls during the late 80s and 90s... it doesn't get better! 😍
Thank you for posting this! True Fact, NC kids stick our tongues out when we compete! Love you Air Jordan!

26 year old Michael Jordan in Chicago is like 26 year old Bruce Springsteen at the Garden
Don't insult Michael Jordan like that.
Or 73 year old Springsteen at the Garden. Just saw him there and it’s still amazing.
@@rickwilliams967exactly.
Gorgeous man and I'm straight!
So he hadn’t made “The Shot” yet when he did this interview. (It was the next game!)
Anyone else anxious with those confetti guns pointed straight at their faces? haha!
Do you hear that hype! That's what MJ brought to the table

Amazing times.
Michael Jordan, stone cold ruthless tongue-hangin' jukin' jivin' hi-flyin' swishin' ever-scorin' entertaining sports star competitor...
LeBron is a legend in his own mind. Michael is a legend in everyone else's.
LA·QUEEN JAMES
He’s the second greatest player of all time. Nothing wrong with that, he’s put himself in that discussion no reason for the disrespect
That MJ would destroy today’s modern NBA not even a question. Factual statement.
Damn Michael Jordan was raised right
Milkman’s son😂
And that young man hadn't won a NBA championship yet. You can clearly see that he was different from the others
HAPPN ME B4.. 24 LAWN MORE AN FINGER , HOUR WALK HOME. DAM HANDY CAP 🏀
He hasn’t even won a ring yet holy
Dude , HALF the big toe??! That's like, the entire nail at the knuckle!
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤯
Ps I don't get the "joke" about kerosene stopping the pain?
Never heard this story
Deloris E. Jordan, is Jordan's older sister, research what she had to say about their father, it's disgusting.
So that's how he jumped so long
my god.
Show 👋🏼👋🏼

He mentioned golf evertime, sad he didn't play professionally, could play golf instead of baseball😢
The audience in theese shows is really obnoxious
FIRST
Why did they cheer when he said his age??🤨
