I learn the most from watching Michael Jordan interviews

Seeing this interview from 1999 makes me wonder what if Jordan signed with another team after the Bulls wanted to rebuild after the 1998 season. He could have signed with Houston with Hakeem, Barkley and Pippen, Spurs with Robinson and Duncan, Lakers with Kobe and Shaq or even the Knicks with Ewing and Alan Houston. He could easily have won another 2-3 more championships.
Jordan never wanted to make a super team though. He always wanted the challenge.

jxn23 Jordan never really had a challenge after the 80's were over, thanks to David Stern & the Refs favoring him. In 95 was the only time David Stern let him lose.

IBlewUponYourFace Jordan’s best stats are in the 1980s they decreased in the 90s points free throw attempts etc so that makes no sense. Jordan finally had a team and their defense is why they won their titles. You must didn’t watch the games or know the history. Go research how good their defense got. Go research what their defense did to the back to back defending champion pistons and everyone else after in the playoffs and where they ranked in the season. After Jordan won defensive player of the year the bulls finally started holding teams under 100 points in the playoffs. Pistons defense was better and Pippen was soft he didn’t show up in elimination game 6 of 1989 or elimination game 7 of 1990. But in the middle of 1990-91 season their defense got red hot and it continued year after year. Their defense lead them and the triangle offense from Tex winters gave the role players a prominent role in the offense.

The way Jordan describes the cologne as is serious as the way he talks about basketball. He is into it as he is into everything.

Michael could’ve gone to another team to help them win a championship. I don’t think the Knicks fans would’ve welcomed him in New York seeing that he demolished them in their first four championships. He may have been welcomed in Houston or San Antonio. Maybe the Lakers and their fans would have welcomed him and maybe the Miami Heat as well.

Rodney Benbow he almost went to the Knicks in 1997 of the Bulls didn’t give him the money he wanted. He had bad old nba contracts from the 80s bad long term deals him and Scottie Pippen. But bulls paid him his last 2 nba seasons. He had the bulls on a timeline to return his call with the contract he wanted or he was going to the Knicks. He never made them renegotiate his old contract but once it was up he was serious about that money.

The Knicks would of loved Jordan playing for them, the garden had a love/hate relationship with Jordan, they hated that he would always beat them in the end but they had an appreciation for him,his basketball skills & his determination✌️

34:05 so then the NBA decided to force the issue with rule changes to make the game a lot easier and less challenging for the players. Which is why today's NBA looks inauthentic af and every game you have color commentators raving about 3 players like an in-game ad instead of actually commentating the game. Just unwatchable garbage. Comparing any player today to MJ or Bird's era is a joke.
