The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls had three one-point losses in March and April (two at home to the Charlotte Hornets and Indiana Pacers and one on the road to the Toronto Raptors). Had the Bulls won those three games, they would've been 75-7 during the regular season including being undefeated at home at 41-0. They also could've been 90-10 with a 51-0 home record in both the regular season and postseason.
yeah had longley played in that hornets game they for sure win that one so they were at least a 50-1 home team who didnt lose at home legit until the last few days of the season lol starting 40-0 ...and I think harper missed that pacers game but so did reggie to be fair...the pacers beat them twice in the regular season and the only team to beat them on the road and at home obviously even if the sonics beat them 3 times including playoffs and the knicks got them twice that year including playoffs the pacers got them twice without playoffs on the road and at home...crazy how they won without reg but the bulls weren't going 100% by the end of the season clearly....that raptos game showed us that...they should of been a 76-6 team...
That was the Raptors inaugural season too...when they beat the Bulls (considering Jordan's last second basket was judged too late) the entire place erupted like we had won the championship.
I remember those home loses near the end of the regular season to Indy and Charlotte lol my boy said please they won't beat them in a series on Orlando Houston and Seattle could
People speak of the "Big Three" of Miami as if it was the first and the most dominant one ever... Rodman, as one of the best rebounders in the history of the game and a monster in the low post, Pippen with 3pt range, dunking ability and a good passing ability, and Jordan being, well Jordan, you have one of the best teams to ever play the game.
Lol nobody speaks of Miami's 3 as the best ever. Did you make that up just to make this point? Cuz literally no one has ever considered Miami'sm3 as the most dominany.
ilijazunic55 ok pip was a sometimes shooter and rodman was never a great low post scorer he only averaged 4ppg with the bulls. What you’re forgetting is that this team played team ball and everyone knew their exact role.
@@batphoneuser1407 you are wrong you better go look at Rodman's numbers when he played for the Pistons...only reason his numbers were so low in Chicago is because they already had all the offensive firepower they needed he was a role player in Chicago.
Kenneth Shyne I did look at his numbers and as a matter of fact did you know he averaged the most assists per season in his career as a bull? So it only prove my point as they ran a real offensive system and he case there to do his role rebound and playe team ball. He averaged around 5ppg those 3 years as a bull. He only topped 11 ppg as a piston ONE time. His career average in points with the pistons was 8.3ppg. Not exactly the reason they brought him to the bulls in the first place. Plus another fact he was older than Jordan by 2 years and older than Scottie by 4. This last 3 peat bulls was outta their prime for good. What they did was IMPRESSIVE
This particular team is probably not only the best team in NBA history but, its possibly the greatest team in SPORTS history. And still, there are people that will try to argue against them and try to say that they were overrated...which is pure insanity and reeks of sour grapes. I believe that they were so good that its impossible to overrate them. And by the way...I'm not a Bulls fan so I can't be acting like a homer when I say that sports...not just the NBA...has probably never seen a more complete and well rounded team than this one here.
greatest team in sports history is a stretch....they probably aren't even the greatest NBA team ever. That title should go to one of the Celtics or Lakers teams from the 1980s. While the Bulls had that impressive 72-10 record....there was an unusual amount of shitty teams that year (8 teams who finished under .400). In the 80s..the most teams to finish under .400 in a season was 4.
Steve E Jealous people will always exist. I mean there are people who think athletes like Muhammad Ali or Nadal are overrated. Now it just a random example but you'll get my point.
disagree. GSW would just throw three-pointers all day long. Sure, they have no defense, but who needs defense when you have player like Thomson and Durant?
I was 20 and lived it. Saying it out loud sounds ridiculous but at the time there was a lot of “extra baggage” and questions honestly. Perdue was a gamer. Hustler. Big but active body actually. Played well for Spurs.
I wouldn’t fuks with anyone that was able to play basketball on the same court as Michael Jordan. Like, I’m 5’11” and can shoot lights out (so I think) and my brother is 6’4” and is about as decent at basketball as I am, but in a different way as he just has way less coordination than I do due to his size. Basketball players are the humans who are bigger than my brother while maintaining coordination far better than mine
Best team of all time. They played and beat the best teams in the league during the playoffs. The teams they beat were damned good teams. Seattle won 64 games.
yeah the bulls in 96 were on another level....they legit looked like a cheat code...we forget they lost 3 games by a single point and a pre finals playoff game by 3 points without their 6th man so if toni played they most likely sweep that series but he was hurt so they could of ended the year 90-9 easily....and they could of won 3-4 of those lost 9 games too because guys usually were hurt costing them wins during the regular season...they could of been 94-5 to end the year after a 79-3 regular season...nobody can tell me they weren't the best team ever...think about what I just said..they could of been if healthy 94-5...and 3 of those 5 losses would of come to the 64 win sonics out of 8 games played vs them....
great memories of childhood watching the 90's Bulls, hard to find that now, this guys put so much electricity on the game and beyond. Thanks 4 the upload!

That Knicks team w Starks and Ewing was real af. Thats part of this dynasty too is that they had to game against some serious lineups. That Sonics team was crucial too. The magic w Shaq. Jazz later on was nasty too.
What also makes the sonics and underrated team to go up against the Bulls is because they were the only team to be able to hold Jordan to below 30 points per game, also Scottie pippen didnt have a great series either, Even Steve Kerr shot terribly
That's so obvious to people that know the game. As great as a offensive play he was incredible on the defensive side as well. I don't see how anyone could say anyone is better.
Jordan and this team played at a level that was so high and fast paced nobody could keep up. Golden States team had the offense but did not have the defense. The bulls killed you on both ends of the court. Then you had rodman who just pissed everyone on opposing team off. The 90s had a way more dynamic feel to the game it was more physical. Golden State and this new era doesn't compare in my opinion.
Michael Jordan will never be eclipsed! He wasn't just a great player, he was a PHENOMENON!!! These rare phenomenons always come around once in a blue moon; I wonder who the next phenomenon will be and who will he or she be?!
Great story put together here- I remember this well- darn I’m getting old!!! This was basketball and nothing ever before or since has replaced this entertainment- also - greatest line in the huddle I ever heard,= “ hey guys, don’t be scared to pass it to number 23, he’s ok”
After 1995-96, I don’t think the Bulls needed Bill Wennington anymore, so they could’ve let him go to the Phoenix Suns in 96-97, or either the New York Knicks or Indiana Pacers in 97-98, or either the Utah Jazz or Toronto Raptors in 98-99 as soon as the Bulls were through with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson.
1995-96 Bulls 87 wins and 13 losses, and a cherry on top. 2015-16 Warriors 88 wins and 18 losses, and the only team ever to lose the Finals after being up 3-1.
Jordan. And it needs be said. Pippen. Lots of others over the years helped make that legendary Bulls time period. Rodman for sure did his part. But flat out Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen are the ultimate duo in the history of that sport. Maybe the best dynamic of any duo in any sport. There aint ever gonna be that kinda magic on the hardwood ever again. Period. And yeah. Tony K was dope too thats facts.
The Bulls had fans all over the country due to the way cable television spread and lots of people got WGN Chicago. Same with the cubs during Sandburg Dawson Grace era. That Bulls intro still gives me chills though. This was such a great team.
Two more championships after 1996. Then (as of 2019) nothing remotely close to the NBA Finals since 1998. I never thought the post-MJ Bulls would fall this far away for this long from being competitive at a championship level. Chicago is the 3rd largest market in the US after LA and NY.
Thanks for uploading this, appreciate it a lot, was watching these games on TV when they were played and it's such a pleasure to revisit these moments and watch my favorite team and MJ do their thing, the best that ever did it!

The narration is fantastic, so intense.
nick noel Agreed! Whats his name?
Hal Douglas
"72-10 dont mean a thing without a ring"
The Warriors will realize that they will go down in history with that loss @ColoredSpaces
MJ + SP+ DR= GREATEST TRIO EVER
The difference between this Bulls team and this year's Golden State team, is that the Bull's got the ring, GSW didn't.
Connor Murphy they also got 2 three peat
warriors are getting there
73 n 9 gsw without the ring hahaha kd is out
2015-2016 Golden State Warriors, NBAs greatest losers.
Connor Murphy You couldn't have been more right
I would never forget about this season... ! It was gloriest season of the all time NBA histoiry. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Harper...
The greatest team ever!
MJ Pippen and Rodman = 72 wins
And Horace Grant
what about Luke Longley ?
@@tommyjones9089
I didnt play in this 3-peat.
Horace Grant was not with the squad. He was in Orlando when Jordan came back from retirement and Orlando eliminate Chicago when Jordan wore 45.
Kukoc hit about 2 or 3 buzzer that season and overall played best ball in his carrer.6th man of the season
86 Celtics?
Brandon Reed Ahhhh. GREAT point. They would certainly challenge.
Steve E Yeah, they are one of the few teams I would say was as good as this one. Maybe one of the showtime Laker teams as well.
greatest team in sports history is a stretch....they probably aren't even the greatest NBA team ever.
The greatest team that ever played basketball in the history of the game of basketball!!
This Bulls team would absolutely destroy the Warriors of today!
disagree. GSW would just throw three-pointers all day long. Sure, they have no defense, but who needs defense when you have player like Thomson and Durant?
Defense wins championships the bulls would have never lost to the Cavs
Warriors would be easy
Patriots26 STFU 1 of the greatest scores of all time greatest shooter of all time and 3 greatest. Sg of all time
Andruha Krutchenko no defense?? Do your research
Best player, best team, best NBA era.
Will Perdue for Dennis Rodman has to be one of the best trades ever.
I was 20 and lived it. Saying it out loud sounds ridiculous but at the time there was a lot of “extra baggage” and questions honestly. Perdue was a gamer. Hustler. Big but active body actually. Played well for Spurs.
D-Rod would have gotten in Draymond Green's head easily.
veerry easily
saj8 Not easy as it would be a challenge for both players
Easy work green is weak mentally
You do not mess with the Master
To be a smaller player than shaq and dominate him and other top notch centers with mind games says a lot.
27:32 phils face when he looked at Mike like you already know wassup okay
Lol tru
I said the same thing bruh
Michael that look fi real lol
I played volleyball against Jud Beuchler a few years ago when he was like 46. Dude still hits the shit out of the ball
Fine apple
this bulls team led by michael jordan was legendary but not quite the #1 overall best team ever for multiple reason's period
@@youtuber3328 plz explain
@@SpursOn3 well Jordan had chamberlain tell him the rules were changed in the more recent years to make it easier
That 360 layup by john starks was a absolute work of art!!
great memories of childhood watching the 90's Bulls, hard to find that now, this guys put so much electricity on the game and beyond. Thanks 4 the upload!
When ever I watch pre-Allen Iverson highlights its easy to see his impact on the N.B.A. culture
Facts
💯
Booker T yeah seems like nba culture behind the scenes had more class pre 1996-97
Greatest Team of All Time. The Teamwork remains Incomparable. Excellence in Every Way. Pure Beauty. Auguri!
the best playoff teams literally always have and will be #1 tied the first 10 celtics championship teams and #2 the 1967 76ers ked by the goats tied being bill russell and wilt chamberlain
I don't care what anyone says this team is greatest of all time, warriors can't touch them, mj greatest ever
Rodman won us 3 rings. He stopped Kemp and Malone
The chapter in Phil's book about this group is fantastic.
been about 10 years since i’ve watched this. still could memeorize everything each player said like i’ve never stopped watching
The bulls we're unstoppable with sixth NBA titles 6-0 during the 1990s
What the hell man that 360 lay up by starks at 14:35 looked like a stunt in a movie! Such a work of art!
Well put together vid! Go Bulls forever!
Why do people compare and try to undermine this amazing team?
Can we just appreciate the once in a lifetime greatness we’ll see
Scottie Pippen sounds like one of those people in those commercials telling you the dangers if you smoke.
except it would be an ad about the dangers of getting so high you forget your own name instead of an ad about lung cancer lmao
Lol. That's great
The coach sound just the same lol
lol
Eguana looking ass 😂 😂
As far as I'm concerned, the Bulls still have the all time win record (72 regular season, 15 postseason) until GSW win the title.
come monday. this might be true
And now we can confirm that the 96 Bulls are the superior team
+David Fernandez ^
T
That Knicks team w Starks and Ewing was real af. Thats part of this dynasty too is that they had to game against some serious lineups. That Sonics team was crucial too. The magic w Shaq. Jazz later on was nasty too.
Michael Jordan #23 &Scotie Pipen #33 is the best...
from Indonesia
That Sonics team really saved their legacy by winning those two games, as crazy as that sounds. The 1995 Magic on the other hand...
What also makes the sonics and underrated team to go up against the Bulls is because they were the only team to be able to hold Jordan to below 30 points per game, also Scottie pippen didnt have a great series either,
Even Steve Kerr shot terribly
And the BULLS never had a GAME 7 which is freaking AWESOME like WOW!!! Hats off, hands down!!! BRILLIANT!!! #MJtheGOAT 🏀🏆🥇❤️♥️
This was how physical the game was! Only few superstars now could survive this physicality..
Dennis was such an underrated player. Jordan knew he and his hustle and messing with other players is what was needed when he came back.
The Bulls would've won 8 straight, had MJ not retired in '94.
Chew on that.
sydIRISH dont forget the last dance.. . if it did happen would have won 9
sydIRISH if Horace Grant didnt leave in 94-95 they need Rodman
sydIRISH don’t forget the last dance. Would’ve been 9 ...
9 is just impossible. Even the 1950-60s Celtics could only get as far as 8 straight.
Not out of the question Syd. Dont want to take away from Olajuwon, but Mike's Bulls could've beaten them
like if MJ is the Goat
Vy
No question
Vash Franco Kobe and Curry are my favorite players but MJ will always be the GOAT
That's so obvious to people that know the game. As great as a offensive play he was incredible on the defensive side as well. I don't see how anyone could say anyone is better.
God of 🏀
Jordan and this team played at a level that was so high and fast paced nobody could keep up.
To watch this happen as it was happening was amazing. I’m so glad I got to watch this unfold
Kevin wil256 same here man, been watching nba since 1992-1993 , im a suns fan but watched every nba playoff game since ‘93
They need to bring back NBA finals jerseys & courts
27:30 Phil gave Michael that “Go get em tiger” look 😂😂
"steve turn around and leave"😂😂😂😂
Great story put together here- I remember this well- darn I’m getting old!!!
This was basketball and nothing ever before or since has replaced this entertainment- also - greatest line in the huddle I ever heard,= “ hey guys, don’t be scared to pass it to number 23, he’s ok”
the best team ever
What a great performance by Chicago Bulls. I feel much younger when i see the movie.
Shaq, Ewing, and Mourning in one all star team good God
I totally remember that Bill Wennington had that 12 foot jumper that he seemingly never missed.
People seem to forget but Rodman was an absolute warrior on the court.
Nobody forgets at all. Anyone who knows about basketball knows about Rodman.
1995-96 Bulls 87 wins and 13 losses, and a cherry on top.
2015-16 Warriors 88 wins and 18 losses, and the only team ever to lose the Finals after being up 3-1.
27:30 Most epic look from Phil to Mike ever!
MJ,Pipp, and Rodman would eat the Warriors for breakfast defensively
The 72 Win Bulls are the best basketball team in the history of the NBA
@32:01 Referee to Kerr, "Steve turn around and leave". Hahaha! 90's the best era of the NBA.
Basketball will never be the same just such a fun time the MJ ara
90s is the great era where defense were tight and physical so if a player scores 20 above that would be awesome
Two more championships after 1996. Then (as of 2019) nothing remotely close to the NBA Finals since 1998. I never thought the post-MJ Bulls would fall this far away for this long from being competitive at a championship level. Chicago is the 3rd largest market in the US after LA and NY.
And when you look at the Knicks, as well, it's amazing to think that neither they nor the Bulls have been to the finals this century so far.
Still the greatest team to ever do it. The GOAT doing GOAT things as usual!!! 💯🐂
Greatest team of ALL time
Thanks for uploading this, appreciate it a lot, was watching these games on TV when they were played and it's such a pleasure to revisit these moments and watch my favorite team and MJ do their thing, the best that ever did it!
MJ and Pippen, greatest team of all time
I miss the old NBA!! Its just very different!
U see what he said 72-10 don’t mean shit without a ring warriors broken the bulls record but no ring tho that’s a fact
My brother was named after mj.. growing up i saw him play basketball that influence me as well.. i miss u bro.. and i know ur in heaven now playing the game that u love!!!
27:31 : Phil Jackson's reaction when someone says Lebron is better than MJ
Hahaha
Whoever says Lebron is better than MJ desperately needs some sleep. Its pathetic to compare a shrimp from a cold blooded shark. MJ > LBJ
You caught that look😎😅🤣😂
hahaha yep
and MJ replies in a wink lol
Kemp was superb in this series. All-round, nice mid-range game. This Sonics squad was really solid. But Chicago was superhuman all season long. None of us could believe what we were seeing.
I've been watching basketball for 40 years and the fake at 23:15 is probably the best fake I've ever seen in my life.
