Worth mentioning that the 125mm intended for this tank and currently in use with the CIS is actually a smoothbore gun, not rifled, hence why WG put the 130mm rifled gun on it because they're scared to death of APFSDS
The could make HEAT the standart ammunition and APFSDS gold ammo.
I honestly doubt WG is scared of anything other than making less profit, but with a large chunk of their cis playerbase being fed to woodchippers in ukraine, it doesn't seem like the best time to release shiny new russian/soviet premiums
It's currently in use by the Confederacy of Independent Systems?
@@ainumahtar Ouch!🤣🤣 Although to be fair, most of the draftees have come from rural areas, so probably not too many of their player base. Hopefully they get their turn soon enough.
@@davidsmith8997 I forget where I saw it but I saw some streamer (I think Flamu, but I could be wrong) show a player number dropoff of like 25-33% almost immediately after the war started in one of those "is the game dying omg" videos, add to that the fact the age groups for military service and average ages of players of WG products overlap a lot, it can't help.

Fighting against that thing with troll armor, 286mm of pen with 750 avg damage in my "heavy tank" VK 3601(H) with the short 88 with 132mm of pen and 220 avg damage was not fun lol

I love my death star, before the HE and HESH rework I remember when you could 1 shot every full health tier 10 meds and about have of the tier 10 heavy tanks. Those were the good old days

I mean... you still can. You can in fact do it more reliably now than before the rework because now it will go through spaced armour (like tracks) and not just detonate on it.
@stefannilsson2406 I have not been getting as high of rolls as I did before. For me the Death Star is still fun but not as explosive lol
@@anthonyware4033 if you pen, there is no difference. If you don't pen, you do less damage on heavies than before.
But you do more damage now on non pens to lightly armoured tanks.
I don't know how many times Jingles didn't realize that T30 got away scot-free but said that he paid for it. But I enjoyed everyone of them

Did he get hit on the cupola at 2:40 ? The damage seemed to be in the gun mantlet, which is about 300 mm thick.

yeah, and the Sconq has 326 mm of pen, most tier 10 heavies have more than 300mm of gold pen. imo it should be considered a weakspot
Yeh the cupola is not the weakness its playing this game in the same tank and expecting to be treated the same as everyone else, that's the weakness.

Gotta say, that is a sexy tank. Even if its basically made-up.
I love the Foch TD's but those tumors on top of the tank ruin it when you get spotted. They're so big that even a KV2 can hit them reliably from 500M away

@emberfist8347 it is, but, tanks don't really tend to blow up into little bits and pieces after being shot at it repeatedly.
To be honest I think it's bs a tank can get killed by being shot in the commanders Hatch repeatedly
@@Alexander27463 if you are looking for realism you are in the wrong place. WarThunder does model things more realistically but this is an arcade game.
10:13 Jingles, the Deathstar isn't technically a premium vehicle. It's a special vehicle, which is same thing in every aspect except making extra credits. It would be pretty broken if it was a real premium because it would nullify the extraorbitant cost of the HESH shells.
Not to mention they already gave people 'free' premiums with the american heavy line change and that worked out way too well for players, can't have that, too bad for WG profits!

The Super Conq just fired gold right through the gun mantle to the right of the gun,, not the cupola.

I have the 780 and its meh. The lower glacial plate can be punched through by regular ammo no problem no gold needed. OH and it seems to be made out of fuel tanks, since no matter where you get his fuel tanks take damage and you in turn get set on fire. The turbine engine it has makes cool noises as you drive though! glad I got it for free as a reward and didn't have to pay for it or put much effort into getting it.

the death star at tier 10 with a 183mm gun with 310mm pen, meanwhile the best AP round in War thunder has 652mm with a muzzle velocity of 1750m/s (Leopard 2A6 with DM53) or the what the potential dpm would be for a Type10 with a 4.5 second reload on a 125mm gun

Jingles, I'm fairly certain that arty player knew very well that he couldn't drown himself anywhere on the "Highway" map (can't say the same about you though). He was lost likely relocating/running away.
We know you're not too fond of "scumbags", even though they aren't, that decide to go down on their own terms (with rng screwing them over 10 times in a row) but in this instance, that arty player wasn't even trying to off himself.
Just give the arty players (scumbags in your lexicon) a bit more credit, will ya? ;)

I was 10.000 credits from buying the death star when they removed it from the tech tree. Really broke my heart.

Ya I got tired of being punished for fighting my tanks correctly in a superior fighting position by players in inferior fighting positions being rewarded by simply face checking the skill ammo.

@@honorandintegrity4997 Oh ya. Especially with the L7 or L56. Fully aimed and where the does the round go? Right over that little 1% space not covered by the aiming circle.
I've had fully aimed artillery ready to defend a teammate and secure a victory or help teammates out and where the shell land?

The cannon may be what would become the gun used on all Soviet MBTs, but the difference is that this tank's gun is rifled the modern ones are smoothbore. A rifled gun cannon fire ATGMs unless a notch is cut that a key on a missile would travel down to prevent it engaging with the rifling. Much like a Sheridan's gun.
wargaming is just determined to make everything up
As someone who doesn't like the capping mechanic because I signed up to play the game for tank combat. I can honestly say I'd rather play no cap kill all and have a loss than sit in what's basically an alcoholics anonymous meeting for 1:30

High tier WOT has devolved into hulldown/sidescrape duels where you shoot the cupola/lower glacis. Any idea on how WOT could change the game to limit this phenomenon?
Given that high tiers have cold war tanks it is kinda inevitable that hulldown is a big part of it.
Without Jingles, these videos would be terribly boring... Im not everyday "have to upload something" fan.
i still think that ramming arty will automatically cause massive detonations is just one piece of you-know-what...

Uh, Jingles, did you miss when gold ammo became purchasable with silver? Everyone can fire gold now, so null point on “it can be easily penetrated by gold ammo”.

Not often I say this, but that was pretty dull. A bog standard game of WoT. Not sure why Jingles bothered with it.
they are telling you to shoot gold rounds i no hate this game for the amount of gold being shot its just pathetic
It really seems to be the standard round nowadays, back when I quit every once a while you would still be hit with normal rounds (but then again, HE was still usable then) but it really seems to be the exception that people fire anything but gold unless they run out of gold. It kinda makes sense as WG started balancing around gold ammo instead of normal ammo at some point before adding the japanese heavies, but still, it's disgusting
@@ainumahtari was an alpha tester and i told them that gold rounds needed to stay gold to keep the skill of players high so its competative but nope and they killed thier own game
