Elc is naturaly nerfed due to the bad maps for lts. But a bz176 is toxic on every map.

exactly.. with ELC you can have spectacular battles, but you can also suffer awful ones, particularly at the "city" maps... also, it’s performance is very dependant on the overall team.
If you guys hated BZ-176 and want me to "nerf" them I'm gladly doing it for you guys >l:)

Afaik you can even have slightly better stationary camo values than the ELC90 due to the 3% camo boost from headlight coating.
But the ELC90 has the size advantage allowing so many locations to be used.. some of them even with double bush oportunity that the Bourrasque can't use due to the bushes being too small.
I'd still give the scout job to the ELC but a stealth Bourrasque is terrifying especially on maps that have a lot of good bush locations.
Yep. I have 50/41 hiding with Lansen C and STG Guard, and almost as good with UDES 14 alt 5. It's not ELC that's too good, it's all the other light tanks that are too bad.

I've seen ELC 90's standing in a 25% (afaik it is 50%, 25% and 10% for the real small
shrubs) bush in positions in the open field with no ridge or anything around and 80+% camorating and an IS-2 no 100m away not able to figure out from where he gets spotted blind firing the few obvious spotting locations completely oblivious that he would need to get within some 70m to spot that thing...
I find both of them problematic for the MM.
But since most people don't play a full camo build on the Bourrasque it is imho much less problematic in terms of knowing were it is and being able to do something about it than it can be with a good ELC player since those usually don't shoot you while spotting.

the Even90 is permanetly available in premium shop and with the bonustickets you can have a discount on the cheapest tier8 too sometimes.
how to balance: only one per team and only match up always against a Even90. yes, it might take a second longer to get in a match, but by the numbers it is used there is mostly a match available in short time
THANK YOU! I had a battle yesterday. both teams had 2 LT's.... MY TEAM: 2 ELC even 90's. Enemy team: ELC even 90, Setter. Enemy ELC won the whole battle! he was the last against a our TD and arty and just drove around from a distance farming for the win... it was disgusting. 1 ELC per battle, make them wait- they chose a toxic tank, you pay the toxic time.
I think what makes the ELC so oppressive is that no other light tank at tier 8 can match its overall camo and visibility. Since they won’t balance it they may as well give its counter a buff.
LHMTV turret upgrade for better view range? That’s the closest match the the ELC in the tech tree but currently they have identical view range while ELC is the sneakier if the two by a not insignificant margin.
Bumping up the view range on the LHMTV would mean they spot each other at about the same distance without making another vehicle just as sneaky.

The sad truth is that by adding wheeled LTs, WG killed passive spotting. Games used to be much slower paced & longer & passive spotting was a thing, since even once some one got spotted, then they did not get vaporized into garage cuz DPM was way lower and armour used to mean something. ELC EVEN is probably one of the few tanks left that you can still use to spot passively. The problem is that other tech tree LTs do not even come close. The other issue is the amount of stuff you need to spend (gold, credits, free exp, crew books etc) in order to achieve stats like that, so that you would be able to passively spot the enemy. I would also say that passive spotting requires a lot of experience & knowledge when it comes to the game (maps, positions etc). Definitely more than playing Skoda T56 or BZ.
LTs overall at all in a TERRIBLE state. MTs can spot just as far as they can (farther in some cases), they are fast, but not fast enough with how accurate things are and they cant circle tanks anything like they used to and unless you track them almost every turreted tank can keep its gun on you. Also with speed, some MTs are just as fast and even some of the faster HTs are not much slower anymore. Add to that no armor so everything pens 99% of their shots and some of the worst guns in their tiers(in both pen and damage in most cases) and bad DPM even if they can pen. It says volumes that every T10 LT actually lowers the win rate of the people that play them on average (meaning the average win rate in the tank is less than the average win rate of those same players playing other tanks).
I personally dont think the wheeled boys made it much worse as their view range is so bad and their camo is low for an LT so you will see them long before they see you in most cases. Do they make it harder for normal LTs, possibly... can they hard counter a passive scout by rushing it, definitely. I just think the issues above are worse.
artillery has made the game even more worst state than wheels. wheels help make artillery miserable. until artillery gets removed wheeled should stay to counter the overpowered camper class that is artillery

@@soldier22881 You could literally say the same for TDs... But unlike them arta requires at least a lil bit of skill.... I rly dont get why you guys cry bout arta. The dmg, ROF, accuracy and dispersion values are so horrific that arta basically has no impact on the battle these days... Why dont u have a problem with TDs? They also just sit in bush, are basically unspottable but have unlike arta good dpm, alpha, accuracy, pen and more often than not camo as well. Dont know why you guys think its totally fine losing 1800 dmg to one shot from a FV but losing like 50 dmg every minute is suddenly toxic.. Wtf is wrong with you guys.. Lemme guess u all play OP hull down toxic tanks like Chief or BZ and u cry that u cant farm in peace the whole of the enemy team while being totally unharmed... On the BZ-176 we all know that a nerf will not happen and i like the idea on putting it at Tier-9.
They could also give it the same matchmaking as the EBR so a BZ-176 Will allways match against a BZ-176.

Borrasque has more fire power, but way way less sneakiness. Borraque also way bigger, its not hard to hit full speed Borrasque unlike ELC:

The Borat can unload it's 750 burst without being seen, rapidly move and hide to rinse and repeat.
There is a high skill level don't get me wrong but there's a reason it's extremely high performing

In case of playing with tier VI, he can rush on full spead and deal up to 750-800 dmg in 2 sec. It´s bareally enough to shoot 1 time to most of the tier VI. And most of the time boura get away from it by having the speed and much more hp than tier VI. Boura is worse than elc
E25 is by far the most toxic tank. Op cammo, it's fast, and it fires every 2.5 seconds.
and theres always people who play nothing but the e25 and t67 they just sit in a bush and snipe all game. have no clue how to play the game
Once I bought the ELC when he first entered the scene at the very first day.
I had some really nice chats with mates that could believe that this tiny thing should be a tank.
During my army time I was a tanker too and even today I could not imagine how 2 soldiers should fit in it.

If an ELC Even 90 grows 1% in size every second for 14 minutes and 55 seconds it will become just over 39 kilometers long: _much_ larger than any of the maps it plays on. During that time its 90mm main gun will grow to a bore size of just over 663 _meters_ , probably enough to one-shot anything it can encounter in the game . . . except the BZ-176, of course.
A 663-metre 3-shot autoloader? Ouch. That gun would one-shot the entire map - leaving the BZ-176 sitting in dead space saying "what happened?"

With the map changes spotting isn’t a thing on the majority of maps, the days of spotting 3-4K damage every game have passed IMO.
Id say bz176/lefh/boRAT are the most toxic.

I bought one a few weeks ago. Crew with 3 lines of perks and regular equipment and it has 54% camo on it. The little booger can hide pretty much anywhere. Other little lights is its biggest threat.

I bought it when it was on sale a couple years ago for the console. It can be a laugh riot to play since you can camp bush and not be seen-- you could find a spot, and virtually go off and make a cup of coffee while the machine spots for your team.
Great idea regarding the BZ-176 moving to tier IX. ELC breaks games in the hands of a good player. I recall a battle on Karelia that was won by an ELC EVEN who parked in a bush in the middle and never took a shot. My team was relegated to the edges of the map to prevent being spotted and killed. And let's face it, this is a vision game. You control the vision, you control the battlefield. The only thing that comes close is the E25 in that respect but even though its camo can be outrageous, it's not as small as the ELC.
And it has no CVS ;)
This is definitely a tank that gets exponentially more powerful the more sweaty the player is, since a bad ELC player can be countered simply from proxy spotted by an equally bad light tank player (usually me)
To face an elc you even need pink equipment and consumables if you're not worth shit, and new users can't afford that so they go to war thunder
Quite interesting thing is that the real ELC Even 90 had a gun capable of effectively piercing the armor of the IS-4
I use to love playing tier 8 lights but now it's not really enjoyable to play other lights because you can't compete against ELC.
you idea is good. give it an engine overheating counter if it is still and then starts to smoke making it visible…, can be done!

As a proud Minion of the Honest Gaming Community - of which took this meme machine and made it skyrocket to stardom, I must say this tank is NOT TOXIC. People just have to know how to play it and how to deal with it. You want to talk about toxic tanks, here are some contenders for the most toxic:
-BZ-176 (and ALL Chinese rocket heavies)
-Object 279(e)
-VZ. 55 (and most Czech heavies with two-shot autoloaders)
-EBR 105

I've thought the same thing about the ELC, they could either nerf it, which they wont, or not have it regularly available to buy or they should bring a couple of small tanks to compete with it.

the problem with nerfing the elc is indeed that it is a premium, but even if wargaming would nerf the elc and give it less camo, it would be one of the worst tanks in WOT since it got a terrible gun and no armor
I think a reasonable fix for BZ-176 without nerfing it would be a reverse preferential matchmaking, to where it can never see tier 6 tanks. The least they could do.

You do realize this means other tier 8's will also suffer from this right. Basically creating a tier 8+ mm. It would help tier 6 and 7 but really only nerf all the other tier 8's
@@aristaeus2514 MM doesn't have to create special lobbies for them, just add them only to the ones where tier 6 where not in. As a result bz might stay more in queue tho.
Yes I understand, but my point is that this will result in other tier 8s being matched up with them so often that it would beat the purpose.
Also, imagine if you would have a long queue and you do get matched with them, even if you expect that to be more rare, it will be even more toxic than it is now. @@xBozyan

First he learns 60TP might be a meta tank, now he's advanced to blaming a light tank for being toxic when there's 40 maps in the game and like 5 of them are good for scouts 💀
The Commander's Vision System makes the ELC and all light scouting tanks virtually obsolete and it's the reason I don't like play tier VIII+. What is the point of training your crew's in concealment, using camouflage paint, etc, if you're just going to get spotted anyway?
I've spotted more ELC by running into them than with my actual vision.
I do like QB's idea about the BZ-176 though.

As soon as I play a t8 light tank that is not the elc even I pray that I don't get matched up against one, because I know if I do my team is at a deficit. And I know I won't be able to contest the spotting in early game as elc will always outspot me and out cammo me...
That might be true but in my opinion on the maps were lights exel you cann get out spotted know were his General direction is and avoided them or go and contest them with more firepower the later is a gambel and the first might not be as good of a position and needs more attention to play with impact but too be honest I play my lights more over my own damage with calculated risks I mean common if all of my team mates play like headless chicken with bad rng I have too doo the damage mostly per Bush mechanic abuse I try too create cross fires on the enemy takes same time too get that play style down but Supporting and distraction shoots mabye secure 1 or 2 kills in the process cann break a flank and because of the high mobility you cann change back too the other side of the map and doo the same it is a very dynamic play style and not fit for every light but for example on the Vk28.01 105mm gun you cann just bull any light with same practice or the lt432 with its stalinum armor and low Profil you cann Dow hilarious stuff but ebrs make that kinda hard same times 😅
This! I hate playing against the ELC in my tier 8 light tank. It's not possible to play like a light. Either I suicide on it and lose if they are any good, or I avoid them and my team gets outspotted. Pretty hopeless...
The counter to an ELC even 90 is the miel and borasque. They can spot it with the right setup and eliminate it almost within the first minute of the game. Or you can have WG say f u we are giving the enemy team and elc and 2 borasque and you get a black bulldog and random crap meds that can’t spot either. Great game that is, very balanced and fair.
You can fix the ELC by just doubling its size, right now when compared to the cars on the road that we crush it is so small that there is no way two people can fit inside it, and that is without the gun, ammo, engine and other equipment. The size is the only problem with this tank. They did this to the FV 304 without changing any other stats and it worked fine.
I've seen the Even 90 IRL when I was in France - it really was that tiny. Wikipedia has a great photo of one next to a classic VW Beetle as a size comparison
It's a 2 person crew irl. But WG magicked extra crew in there along with a lot of 90mm rounds.
I really dont understand the outrage about this tank. Check its winratio, out of all other tier VIII prem tanks its right in the middle. It doesnt need any nerfs, its completely balanced.
I love the ELC Even 90. It is not a "press W and enjoy" tank. You have to know what you do, where you go and how you react if you get spotted. It might be small, but I got annihilated several times if I made the wrong decision.
Agreed, got the ELC without knowing how to play lights well, went and played throught the Bachat line and now love the ELC now that I know how to use it!

It's called SPIC at tier 7 (with tier 8 match making), fun tiny and mobile package with 3 round 90mm autoloader very similar to this.
It was my go-to fun tank to play, now it's just a generic light tank without fun, and they sell you ELC Even 90 for money

They do nerf premiums quietly, soft stats and more. I've noticed some of my premiums behaving differently over time. Lets face it, this company have broken every promise that they ever made when it comes to selling Tanks!

The main problem with wot matches is that every freaking map is just 3 corridors and thats it. Its like map designers are apes. Matches are too fast yes, but with the current maps the only thing wg can do to slow it down is create more hull down monsters or stealth freaks, and it SOOOOOO BOOOOOORIING when a match is long exactly because of this. Like literally the most reliable way to win in Wot is wait for the enemy to become bored and do something silly. I love the game but this is terrible.
This is also the exact reason why I love Frontline so much. Normal matches should be Frontline from now on
Wargaming doesn't officially nerf premium vehicles, they just stop being op after a while. When I bought the T54 Mod1 when it first came out. It was a beast - great armor, nimble and pen everything. A month later it seemed sluggish, everything was penning it and bouncing shots. One of the first battles I had was head to head against two tier 8 mediums. I ran circles around the other mediums, bounced their shots and killed both. One month later, I had trouble fighting one head to head.

Losing a hughe amount of player base due to overpowered p2w game mechanics is more expensive than just changing the actual mechanic.
One way you just lose some people who bought it or just made some angry.
Nothing compared to the damage of thousands of customers who dont play the game because of negative publicity going viral. And those customers will never pay anything for anything in the game.
At the other side, in worst case, you just refund some BZ Players. Which is ridiculously cheaper than the potential loss due to bad publicity.
And that is what BZ did. WoT got viral for pay to win and now is seen as a joke in memes.

As an owner of the BZ-176 I would love if it would become tier 9, but with 260mm ap pen. Maybe I would even play with it.
It's my go to tank when i want to have a fun game, AMX1390 crew in it with 5 perks and bond and imporoved equipment, they will only spot me within proxy distance so i see most of the nme lights comming towards me and i just back off to keep them spotted but remain unspotted.
End game i just gonna harras and clean up some leftover tanks.
54% cant be achieved with standard equipment its like 53% at most tied with Ebr With All bond/Bounty Equip If I remember Correctly
My strategy in wot was always to almost max the view range of every tank. You will consistently get more exp for all the extra spotting you'll be doing. It works great for countering light tanks like this elc even.
The ELC is a bit like the EBR in regard to how you can die easily if you are not careful. Like the ELC might be small and sneaky but it's engine is not great and it's really lightweight, so a small fence can slow you down to half speed, after which you are an easier target. They both give a tremendous advantage to their teams, if played correctly though. The amount of disgusting games I've had with the EVEN 90 is unreal, both when I was spotting for my team, or when I took the matter into my own hands and started slowly killing the opponents.

If you count the Miel its actually the Bourrasque thats the most played but the ELC is a very close 2nd
I'm pretty sure that on the old wg run russian server they removed this tank from being buyable from the tech tree, and gave even an option for people to swap this tank for any premium tank they wanted as it became such a big issue, this tank makes all other tech tree lights and premiumts almost obsolete. Glad to hear i'm not the only one thinking that it's a problem.

i was in a game where my internet trolled me as i was pushing in slowly with elc even 90 my ping went up and i couldn't control the tank when it went back on control i saw i was out of the bush next to the pole and two one MT and one TD was just in front of me i thought i am dead but surprisingly they did not spot me right in front of them. that was crazy i think the distance was less than 200 meters

Bourrasque is the most toxic. Its the game winner, game decider, even on tier 10 battles. Every. Single. Time.

The ELC is not a problem. It's a "1 Trick pony". My ELC is just over 58% camo both moving/stationary, makes it a good scout. Though it's NOT the fastest, NOT good DPM, when I get rammed it's devastating. Please leave it be. Talk about Toxic, let's talk about EBR's and how unreal the stats are with them. REAL LIFE forward 60 mph on a road, off road 45 mph max and slower when Reverse driver is driving. This is the Toxic vehicle and needs fixed. RL it is a 4 man crew, 2 drivers, gunner and commander. Anyhow, enough ranting, sorry. Rock on Tankers 🤘😎
I have 3 invader medals.... On my Object 261. Whenever Im out of shells. 20 shots and Im out, then I often go and sit in the cap.
Just FYI, WeeGee has already tried the "just move it up a tier" strategy for nerfing premiums in World of Warships with Giulio Cesare. They tried to move it from tier 5 to tier 6 with some buffs and the community lost their shit, so they decided to not make the change.
I'd like to see more videos of you just having fun. The tank evaluations are nice but,,,what about a video line, Quickyfingers has fun.
I would guess the popularity is also a result of the insane meta and tanks like the bourrasque resulting in any light tanks that aren't this sneaky being completely useless in a lot of situations, how else do you do the spotting missions
Honestly, you only need 36% camo to only be proxy spotted in a nice bush (although of course being tiny makes more bushes usable), beyond that you're just increasing your ability to fire or drive in the open. Or counter CVS tanks, I suppose. Still, WG could change the camo formula to add diminishing returns above, say, 40% camo.

Wow QB mentioning a change to the BZ-176, that I commented a while back of bumping the BZ-176 up to tier 10 and him mentioning to bump it to tier 9 it would be a step in the right direction. 👍Oh yeah I love my ELC. 😁
Borasque and BZ. Both of them deserves the buff to tier IX.
it's also too short to easily blind fire, even when you get the right bush. if there's not anything immdiately behind you for the distance assist to 'see' the shell is likely to soar right over you
not needed to nerf this. I don't find ELC 90 problematic playing against it.

Saw and touched an ELC Even 90 in Saumur, that thing is flat like an modern european station car, the viewports are tiny.
WoT Nerf: Would lower it viewrange by 15/20% when stationary and by 60% when moving. Would kinda do the same to the other flat lights like the T-100 LT and Manticore.
In real, on the move the turret's rotation was limited to about 36°, because with more turret rotation the driver (located on the floor of the vehicle) was unable to access the tank's controls, and he might be injured by the breech of the gun. To fully rotate the turret and aim at the target, the tank had to stop, but it could aim at targets on the move, when they were in the limited arc of turret traverse.
yup has the camo rating of my t100 lt but its a tier 8 premium, id imagine if it had my t100 crew it would be bloody invisible
i got my elc even 90 during the first trade in event, traded my t-34-3 from bond store to get it
I recently sold my ELC because of the hate. Someone on my team would always blame the ELC for their death. It was a fun tank to play at times.
Nah, it cannot be the most toxic tank. It is so dependent on the team, especially if compared to the actual toxic tanks like the BZ176 or Bourrasque. That's not even a fair comparison. Also, the counter towards the ELC Even 90 is the EBR 75...which works just the other way around and can drive dangerously close to enemy light tanks to spot them...
I’ve got a BZ-176 and I don’t like playing it much. Gun handling is tedious and armour isn’t that reliable
One low-key way of nerfing this thing would be to remove some of the tiny bushes that only this tank can use.
I got 6000g from World of War Planes over the holidays and used it to buy the ELC Even. It's a fun tank!
The ELC is a better scouting tank than most tier 10s I feel... the T-100 Lt has really good camo, but ELC Even is a completely other level still in crazy positions it can pull off.
And on some maps when in a tier 10 light I sometimes wish I had an ELC Even instead.
So is the no nerfs to premium vehicles a new thing because my type 59 would like to have a discussion after several nerfs to it back in the day.
can confirm i bought it with a trade in… traded in my super chaffee which i got for free and literally paid 20 bucks for the even 90. and yes it’s available in the tech tree always at least on NA. least they could do would be to never sell it again and remove it from the tech tree.
It is a big problem when you have 1 Bulldog in your team and Elc in enemy team on Prokhorovka
I reckon if the BZ176 was moved up to tier 9, and had literally no stats improved to adjust to the higher tier, it would still be the best tank at it's tier.
in my opinion the most toxic thing about this tank is that it just makes every other t8 light obsolete except the ebr which gets special matchmaking. I was so frustrated at playing the LTTB that i just trew away my tank in trade for the elc every game because it felt like the only way i could get value for me and my team
ELC is most certainly not the most toxic, BZ-176 is 100% worse, perhaps not in the EU servers where there's a decent variety of players, but here in NA, its a god damn nightmare.

I've seen no one saying this, but for me, the strongest tier for tier tank its the Pz V/IV, that tank wins games by itself.
My Even 90 has 70% camo. I find my spot and kick back while enemy tanks get smashed. It's set up entirely for passive scouting.

@oo7 my bad. It's actually 60% (59.61%). I hit the wrong number key before. Great crew, vents, camo(+ camo directive), and food. If there was a way to make it more invisible, I'd do it. WG should give us a field mod for Tier 8 scouts, but they didn't. Another 2% camo would be great as it would push me over the 60% mark. Sweet.
