You know we have lost such a great when Michael Caine says its the best actor he has ever seen
Dude for reals. Micheal has worked with thousands of people. Thats saying a lot.
Huh?
Where did he say that?
@@kevinzhang6623 The narrorator said it in the video we are commenting on.
@@AdamOMcMurphylol people are so slow
He wasn't just the Best Joker, He was the best Villain ever... RIP Heath Ledger.
Respect!!!
@@isaalencar9051What about him?
Yeah man, the first time he’s on screen during the bank robbery was epic,
“And here we go...”
Groupie talk not best villain ever.
@@promegaxproductions85 who is then??
Joaquin Phoenix was alsp legendary. Maybe the best
The man was the joker for this movie he didn’t play as the joker he became the joker
No doubt, he devoted his life for us. RIP GODACTOR
He was an amazing joker.i still can't believe he's gone now😢
The fuck are you talking about? He got paid millions for some acting😂
Gone but not forgotten
Nah he was the joker 🔥
Still get chills every time I watch him in Dark Knight
I watch Dark Knight in the pale moonlight
I just re watched and damn its perfect lol
Legendary role, legendary movie
His appearance in that bad movie, deserved a whole different movie in a way higher up league. His acting is so out of this world brilliant.
It's not hype, either. People have been saying this since the day it came out and nothing has changed. It remains one of the greatest performances of all time.
He died at his peak. He never had to tarnish, never had to slide slowly back into anonymity.
He went out a Legend.
That was poetry
Imagine if he didn’t die and he kept doing this role tho 😢😢 the evolution of this character would be insane
truly love the guy's work, but he died addicted to drugs and over-dosed on six different rx meds. definitely a tarnished career.
Also died at 28
A Legend who overdosed at 28...Good acting aside, not exactly a role model for children!
There is no question, ever, who the best Joker is
Heath put his heart and soul in this performace. One of few movies I can watch over and over and over...
Your right, mark hamill
He was, undoubtedly the best joker ever played RIP. Thank you for the memories.
Jack Nicholson is as good but pn hugely different take on the joker. Nicholson was the cold black humour cartoon, Ledger was the realistic, different takes of different directors and scripts
@@innosantoThat's such a great outlook. I feel the same with Batman and the Dark Knight. Different takes, different levels. Everybody has their version of the character.
R.I.P. Heath Ledger🕊️
nope
I wouldn’t say that.
I remember this, it was one of those "moments" in culture where everyone paused in awe...doesn’t happen too often. It gives me goosebumps recalling the lines around the block to see this film and how impressive Heath was...the film literally centered around him and it was an amazing swan song to his short life. Perhaps this was the best thing to come out of that rather bleak decade of the 2000s
Couldn’t have put it better myself
The whole film is epic , a sense of dread from opening frame, the music .
Everyone in that movie brought their aaa game.
Heath stole their thunder, madman
His portrayal of the joker was hands down the greatest piece of theatrical art ever I don’t think anyone will ever be able to do better than him he was on such another level
Sad life you lead methinketh!🤡👈
Wow ! I think Phoenix was fabulous as the Joker , but Ledger did the best Joker I’ve seen ever !!!
Fr fr
What about Nicholson? 🤨
Go watch anything starring Daniel Day-Lewis
Ledger took the character to a whole new level! It’s too bad we didn’t get to see more!!
He left us with an Enter the dragon type final film performance like master Lee
Heath portrayed the Joker as the true psychopath, and unpredictable lunatic that he is. He by far captured and played the Joker better than anyone has ever.
Yes but he morph into his role
100% agreed
Nope. He played an amazing character. That character wasn't the Joker.
@@WobblyLancethankyou. The best joker is mark hamill
@@m3xdjc635 common are you jealous? or what?!
By far, the best joker ever... I still can't get over the fact that he's no more among us to share more of his masterpiece...
so wrong, lol
This performance was not only the best Joker performance but one of the best if not the best greatest acting performances overall I've personally ever seen.
Exactly. Even if you didn’t care for his version of the Joker(I loved it for the record) but he disappeared into that character. I’ve heard so many people say they didn’t see Ledger at all in that movie. My mother was a huge Heath fan, and she didn’t like how convincing he was as the joker. Lol. It freaked her out, knowing it was him.
Jack Nicholson was equally as good
@@HyperGnardisagree. That version of Tim Burtons Batman was good for its time but undoubtedly a bit camp and doesn’t hold up whatsoever to Nolan’s , the seriousness and pure darkness as joker in this role brought it to a level that has never been seen before.
@@HyperGnar I saw Jack playing the Joker where Heath disappeared and embodied the character. I love Jack, but there’s no comparison as far as the actual acting goes. Heath was next level shit.
Okay mofo, you took it too far… don’t be ridiculous. Amazing? Yes, but there are plenty out of this world performances in history.. maybe watch more movies
Heath Ledger was A TRUE GENIUS
so sad this life robbed him of his glory and robbed us all of his future work
Rest in peace sir
You definitely made your mark
Sorry but he did that to himself...he had many people to reach out to but apparently this role took a toll on him....he never got out of that dark place he went to
@@truckercowboyed2638That's been refuted by family and friends. Heath was known for having sleep issues prior to being cast as The Joker.

Yes Heath the best Joker performance is the best of all time❤
He was such a great person to work with. I worked on this movie and the others also. I also worked with him 2 nights before he passed away on Dr Parnasis. Such a shame.
Not only a great actor but a great humble human being. R.I.P Heath.
If what you say is true, he must of been amazing to see work. I don’t think his joker performance will be outdone.
Thank you for sharing, I adored him & his Genius ❤
@@damm41 agreed
No you didn't. Stop.
@@Soulsphere_443you do realize you're just telling on yourself here... Right!? Its amazing to me how many people make this type of "no you didn't, stop lying" type comments, to things that really aren't that far fetched, or hard to believe...
Like, you DO understand how many names are in the credits of movies... Right?! There's a reason why credits scroll on screen at the end of the movie for 5/7/10 freaking minutes, when how many names can fit on screen in a single frame? In a single second?!
Soooo... Ya... Idk how you're pretending like this is SO rare, you can INSTANTLY know for a fact this is a lie...
But really you're just making it clear to everyone YOURE the EXACT type of person to do this weird fake lying for clout shit, and hence why you think everyone else with even a slightly interesting or neat fact about themselves MUST be a liar... Because you are, and that's how you deal with being sad and bitter about your own existence.
...Psych 101 stuff really...
Heath was out of this stratosphere with that performance and take on the Joker, absolutely awe inspiring. It's just a phenomenal and epic portrayal of the character 🙏
A true master of the craft
He wasn't playing Joker, he was the Joker. Really Epic.
***RESPECT***
Ledger by far, no comparison. Hes undershadowed by his death. His acting is superb, there is so many little ques and mannerisms that arent seen. Rip heath.
I think it’s his death that gave him more respect
so wrong, lol 😂
By far the best Joker was played by Heath. I still watch the Dark Knight to this day and enjoy as if it was the first time I’ve watched it. RIP Heath
He wrote his dialogue? That's even more impressive.
No he didn't, it was given to him by a fallen angel
He wrote a diary - probably of his thoughts about creating the Joker's mannerisms and what worked and what didn't and why. The video never said he wrote the script - that's the writers' job.
there's no script. he is the joker
He was the best joker in all of them. So sad he died so young. May he rest in power
Practice makes perfect. RIP big brother.
The man is a legend to the craft, his role as the Joker is definitely one of the best.
It will literally impossible for anyone, anywhere,to improve upon a real villain than Heath's portrayal of the Joker....he took it to the stars and beyond and at least to me, will be the best role he ever made totally his own for all time. Rest in Peace young brother...youre one more name on the list taken away from us and the rest of the world way too soon. ❤
Heath Ledger took the Joker to a whole other level and threw all other jokers in the water. He transformed himself into this character and personified everything. Very few actors could do what he did!

Noone will ever come close to playing the joker like this man did
Batman - Let her go
Joker - Poor choice of word.
My fav moment
His performance at the interrogation room with Batman 1v1 will be forever imprinted in my memory.
Never i heard a line from a Villain to the hero "You complete me"
That was wild.
My boy contacted the devil in that hotel room for that role. Then paid the price to be immortalized
True that.
I agree. I believe he summoned or manifested an evil spirit during his stay at the hotel thathelped him achieve his goal but after the job was done they came for him.kinda like a grim reaper type of deal.
Make a whole lot of sense a few actors have
Never thought about that
No....not really... It's called method acting it's fit time and isolation. So he could focus on mannerisms and voice. A lot of actors will spend time by themselves getting into the mind of the character they are playing. His co stars have went on record, talking about how he acted whenever he wasn't filming and he was completely normal
He's my favorite joker❤
Despite endless speculation on which actor had been chosen to portray *The Joker*, Heath Ledger had always been Christopher Nolan's one and only choice for the role. When asked the reason for this unexpected casting, Nolan simply replied, _"Because he's fearless."_
-Q&A at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York City
Ledger and Pheonix peaked their roles and created seperate benchmarks❤❤❤

My favorite Joker is whoever’s playing him in whatever movie I’m watching. Strictly between ‘89, TDK, and Joker, of course. Heath was undoubtedly the best choice for the tone of TDK, but in each of those 3 movies, the performance was perfect for the tone they were going for. It boils down to my mood.
