It's interesting how Cilian clearly feels awkward doing interviews, yet can produce such powerful performances on screen. In reality he's quite an introverted guy and just gets the job done.

I noticed that too, he's clearly an introvert and seems to not enjoy much of this kind of stuff that envolves social interaction and being the center of attention out of character
Acting is an art, it's expressing feeling and emotions. The tool here is your face and genetics, It's like an instrument But the performer makes all difference.
That's why model usually can't act (or rather it's no guarantee of good acting) when average ppl can act so well.

I think an important thing to achieve this is to also be a kind, empathetic human being at your core and also know who you are. Someone nice and good despite hardships in life.
That niceness will then show on the outside I believe just like ugliness and bitterness on the inside will just make you look more ugly. I went through a very bitter last year, extremely negative on my part and it rubbed off on my face.
So keep it honest with yourself, soldier on as a good human being despite hard times and you will retain your youthful looks more easily.

I’ve became a fan of his thru Peaky. He’s been acting like 25 years! He earned respect from directors, producers and other actors. He never did the big Hollywood push. He is a very rare breed of actor. So so talented, great and humble. He doesn’t like interviews but he is still such a wonderful person. He never tries to take the glory. He is a rare actor who just performs exceedingly well but never brags. I think that’s what people refer to as a class act. So happy I got to experience a really great actor. The fact that his roles are completely different from his actual, warm personality just goes to show how brilliant of an actor he is. IMO, one of the most underrated actors and genuinely, the best actor I've ever seen. (In my opinion)

He is who he is. So many people try to classify him and his good looks. Everyone tries to define what appeal an actor has. No, he’s not a muscle bound beefcake. He is smaller, slender and doesn’t have a typical tough guy look. I became mesmerized by his beautiful, handsome face and gorgeous big blue eyes. He acted the tough, gangster role. His unique Irish looks, thick dark hair, big blue eyes, angular face just draw you in. And then HE CAN ACT, REALLY ACT WONDERFULLY. I’ll never forget him and want to see him in many other roles.

Love Peaky! It’s amazing, just started watching the series over holiday. He is an amazing actor. The acting, the costume design and sets…. Amazing! One of the only shows I may rewind to rewatch a scene, review dialogue or the actors’ expressions. Tom Hardy is also a gem. I will be sad when it ends.

I've only ever seen him do a handful of interviews but he's always so natural and genuine. Still an absolute 11/10 despite the years.
He rarely does interviews, I think he finds them quite awkward. He seems very humble though.
Watch him in 'breakfast on Pluto' when he plays someone trans. I also love the films sunshine, dunkirk and 28 days later. And he's done radio shows on BBC 6 music a few times - he has great music taste and a lovely voice.
He’s great. Down to earth; humble; patient; thoughtful and deserves the best that life has to offer.
