It seemed to me the shooting was at least negligent homicide, the way he was intentionally pointing the gun in the victim's direction, and very likely intentional homicide, from the way he was verbally assaulting him.
My mother use to say that shit all the time, “you don’t need to stay out late, nothing good happens after midnight!” This video did change my opinion on him, good video.
He got shot from a attempted robbery by some pool boys who saw how much money he was giving out to his family, and a few days later died in the hospital
In hindsight, Ray was better off fighting the charges, because the other two suspects were acquitted by reason of *self-defense,* meaning this was not a murder in the first place.
@@diggermolly5927 it was SELF DEFENSE, meaning the people who died in that incident LEGALLY DESERVED TO BE STABBED! Self-defense is NEVER murder, regardless of whether or not someone dies because of it! If you pick a fight with someone and you get fatally wounded as a result, TOO BAD SO SAD!

Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Although my biggest pet peeve is someone saying "a.m. in the morning" so I did cringe a bit at that part. Nonetheless, I had meant to dig deeper into this situation, so I'm glad this exists.
I think this one part of an article said it best "Ray wasn’t involved in the fight that killed the two men. His companions were. Lewis wanted no part of the fight, but not for some moral or noble reason. He wanted to avoid the conflict because he was concerned it might hurt his NFL career. Throughout the process, Lewis seemed consumed with protecting his then burgeoning NFL superstar status. He made them promise silence in the limo afterward and lied to police the morning after. He flipped on his buddies to avoid scrutiny."
I agree. Do Sean Taylor. He’s been my favorite safety, have his jersey (first number 36), and am heartbroken of a wonderful life cut short. If he was still alive today he would be a first ballot and considered in the top safety’s of all time. Even being on my pitiful redskins team. Sorry now the Washington football team until they find a name. Nobody wanted to catch a ball in that dude’s vicinity cuz they were gonna be punished.
Here are five common misconceptions about the murder case involving Ray Lewis: 1. Ray Lewis was involved in a murder - Ray Lewis was an eventual witness in a murder case. He was charged with the murder of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar along with his two companions Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting. The murder charges stemmed from a vicious fight in Atlanta streets following a Super Bowl Party in 2000. Eventually, the case ended with the defendants acquitted for reasons of self defense. In the eyes of the court, no murder took place. 2. Ray Lewis’ friends went to jail to protect him - This is in a lot of blogs and opinion pieces. It’s just not true. No one in this case went to jail. 3. Ray Lewis refused to testify against his friends in the murder trial - It’s the opposite. Ray Lewis started the trial at the table with Oakley and Sweeting. He flipped, pleading down to an obstruction of justice charge in exchange for testimony. Lewis was the state’s star witness. Some sources say the three men were no longer friends because of the alleged betrayal. Ironically, the only person to serve any sentence in this case at all was Lewis. Had he not flipped, he likely would have walked away with the same acquittal as the other defendants. 4. The murders were never solved - This is written a lot, along with something to the effect that no other suspects were ever arrested. It doesn’t seem to be in dispute that Oakley and Sweeting killed Baker and Lollar. The jury found that it was self defense after only a few hours of deliberation. 5. Ray Lewis is a murderer - Ray wasn’t involved in the fight that killed the two men. He flipped on his buddies to avoid scrutiny.

I actually never heard about this, congrats on 100k! Well deserved, imma be binge watching ur videos all day lol

He was jumping those dudes too then his friends took it too far. Knowing he would be hit with murder too he acted swiftly. Well played Ray.
"I got 2 rings...1 for each murder".....
Considering how the other guys got aquited on self defense i don't think even if you thought ray fought at all that it was murder.

He got shot from a attempted robbery by some pool boys who saw how much money he was giving out to his family, and a few days later died in the hospital
In hindsight, Ray was better off fighting the charges, because the other two suspects were acquitted by reason of *self-defense,* meaning this was not a murder in the first place.
someone was murdered, what the f are you saying? Nice hindsight.
@@diggermolly5927 it was SELF DEFENSE, meaning the people who died in that incident LEGALLY DESERVED TO BE STABBED! Self-defense is NEVER murder, regardless of whether or not someone dies because of it!

Does anyone feel that it's suspect that he paid 3,000 for a limo and took a cab ride back to the hotel?

Sorry... one name for you to consider... Ronnie Lott
Here are five common misconceptions about the murder case involving Ray Lewis:
He flipped on his buddies to avoid scrutiny.
Good job putting it in a more compelling aspect for people who don't understand that much or people who are new to the case.

Ray Lewis was guilty as hell... “Privilege”. It’s what everyone has been talking about. It’s not a “Being White” issue. It’s an issue with our system. He who has money, gets certain advantages in our court system..

Soooooo Ray snitched on his friends to try and wash his hands of Murder THEN his friends were acquitted and found not guilty? So Ray snitched on his people for no reason...wow
His original statement was " l was leaning against the limo watching."
I pretty sure I read it when it happened so l can't cite the link. But l followed the trial at the time. I read a lot of conflicting stories.
Ray is a snitch....bottom line. But how u snitch and participate in the murder 🤔
@Ravens Fan4 is that the reason he got rid of his suit? If he was trying to break it up he shouldn't have felt the need to get rid of the suit. Right?
@Ravens Fan4 bro my grandmother always told me. "You are known by the company you keep" i find it hard to believe that Ray was in the wrong place at the wrong time when his friends could commit murder so easily. He didn't know they got down like that?? And if he did... why would you be hanging out with killers to put yourself in that situation?
Maybe he said it was them because he knew they would beat it

On that grid iron the man is a beast!! Legend on D 💪💪👌👌💯💯🔥🔥
Turns out he's pretty deadly in back alleys too.
He was involved and got off because he has money.
He got off because the DA couldn't put any knife in his hand the blood found back at his hotel was on his pillow because of a condition he has on the back of his scalp
I always knew head involved and never watched any ravens game knee his privilege got him off being a professional football player got him off nice to see someone finally looking into it
@@jeanmaria5085 His money allowed him to pay for his defense the case is closed and the DA overreached in pressing charges because of his celebrity Everyone is not OJ even though his defense got him acquitted The question no one is asking is were those 2 men in Timberland boots outside of that club with several dime bags of weed? Why did they think Lewis in a fur coat and 37 foot limo equates them to think they could rob him? You like most look at all athletes especially Black ones to be criminals? And finally Debbie you not watching Ravens games only denied you 🤔🤨😎😷
Now why is that so hard to understand, especially coming from the hood?....
@@gregwalton7993 He got off because the DA who btw is still there couldn't prove his case hence the obstruction deal Lewis's money allowed his defense to prove he didn't do it based on evidence a public defender would've got the main charges dropped stop saying it's about Lewis's money the DA sucked and that was 20 years ago will he get justice for Mr. Arbery's case? That's what you all should be questioning 🤔🤨😠😎😷
