I have all Lasfit LEDs on the exterior of my 2024 XLT and yes, I do occasionally get the hyperflash from the taillight LEDs...but I'm gonna leave them in. I think they're better attention-grabbers (as well as being easier to see) than the stock bulbs...reminds me of the Wig-Wag module I had on my '97 Goldwing trike, which alternated the brake lights to make sure they saw I was braking.
I was wondering about this. Thanks for sharing Fred.. I do like the new front turn signal bulbs too. I actually recommended your channel to several Maverick owners who want to do upgrades , you are Top Notch in my book!
Fred, Unfortunately, this fix only works with the poverty edition models (XL/XLT) and not the Lariat. Lasfit is aware of it and is currently working on a fix for the Lariat model. Good job, love your channel 👍🏼
Love your channel. Just got my Maverick delivered after a 16 month wait! Have the las fit bulbs being delivered tomorrow for the third brake light and cargo lights.
That’s great, you’re going to love the Maverick, it’s a great little truck. I haven’t had any issues with mine. ( except the recalls) I’m coming up to my 1 year anniversary in March. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Have a great day.
I tried not to let it bother me but it did. It was like a little squeak, I know it’s not that big a deal, but I can’t get it out of my mind. Hopefully yours won’t do it. Last fit told me that some people say it works fine. Good luck.
I just received the newer version T3-4257R for the rear brake/turn signal on my 24' XLT. They work great except for the turn signal, experienced the same 3 quick flashes at the beginning then goes back to normal. The Lasfit lamps for the 3rd brake light, the reverse, and the front turn/running lights all work fine, just the rear turn signal hyper flashes intermittently (meaning sometimes it works fine, other times not). This also bugs me, so I contacted Lasfit & they are sending me another pair to try, but I have a feeling it will have the same affect unfortunately.
I didn’t feel safe with them. I do not believe it’s the bulbs it’s the CPU that doesn’t always recognize the bulbs. I tried the directionals several times at night backed up to my garage door and some times lights flashed at the instrument cluster but didn’t light up at the taillights. The 3rd and reverse work perfectly.
Another great video. My thoughts are identical to yours. Have the third brake lights and cargo lights and love them. Have gone through -30 degrees and upwards of 90. Have driven 4k miles with them. They work phenomenal and that third brake light might put out more light than the standard taillights combined. I too tried the rear bulbs and returned them after a week. I hated the hyperflash. And agree, it’s all about safety. The maverick is a cheap and utilitarian truck. I don’t mind the halogen taillights because of that.
You are so correct, it was driving me crazy. I just could let it go. Every time I turned on the directionals it would bug me. But all the other builds are a great improvement. I love my Maverick, I know it’s cheap and that what I wanted. Just cheap every day transportation. Hey, you have a great day.
Thanks, Lasfit are sending me the here newest bulbs to try out next week. We will see if that going to fix it. Hey, thanks for the comment and have a great day.
Fred, So in my 2024 XLT I got the same bulbs and had the same hyper flash for 3 cycles and then it goes normal and it did not bug me. However one morning as I was pulling out to go to work to me it looked like the driver side rear was not working. I put it in park and did some testing for maybe 5 minutes and I found that in addition to the hyper signal for 3 cycles in some cases if I hold the break in the driver side and only the driver side would just stop working all together until randomly it would just start working again. I really like the extra brightness of the bulbs so I do want to stick with them but now I'm always questioning them. I reached out to Last fit and they did offer me a full refund even though I have been using them for four months so I will probably take them up on that. I will be keeping my eye out for an updated version of the bulb and while I'm a new subscriber to your channel if they come out with some I hope you could test them out.
Thanks, that’s exactly what happened to mine. I live in a very busy area and am always worried about being rear ended, so I switched them back. I was contemplating using one LED and one halogen but never did. I did upgrade my third break light. That one works fine. Hey, thanks again for subscribing and you have a great day.
@@fredsgarage1925 So just wondering but did you only swap back to the halogen's for the red bulbs or did you also swap the reverse light too? I think the reverse one is fine since it is only used for going backwards and not for many functions like the others right?
@YolandaLeslie-qx7ok yes, here is the video with everything in the description page. It’s definitely worth it. Truck Bed Cargo Light, 3rd Brake LightT. L-T15, L-T15R LED Bulbs ruclips.net/video/ZV3HgOQDEdM/видео.html
I went to my dealer after 9:30 am. All the waits and oil changes are pretty much done by then. They took me wright in and I would say it was about an hour. Or so. I’m lucky I have a good service department.
Yes, it hyper flashed only when I had the brake pedal pushed also on the outside. For some reason Lasfit told me it’s different on different Mavericks some do some don’t. I wonder if the ford technician has a range and some make it tighter than others. I don’t know. But the dash part drove me crazy. But that’s just me.
@@fredsgarage1925 I noticed that both the top and bottom bulbs flash when you turn on your turn signals. Only the top bulb on mine flashes. My truck is a 2023 XLT Hybrid. What year and trim is your Mavetick?
@cecilfreeman6147 mine is a 2023 xl. Both your bulbs should flash. I would take the assembly off and swap the bulbs. ( bottom to top) and see if it is the same. You might have a burnt out bulbs.
Did you try to disable with Forscan the bulb out detection? When I changed them they never hyperflashed without even changing the RearBulbOut Detection in Forscan. Wonder if the recall just switched that setting and it can be reversed.
I believe the recall is making the rearbulbout more sensitive. I refused to have that recall done when I had my oil change a few months back. Lasfit sent me there new bulbs, so I figured that I would have the recall done and see if the LEDs did work. They kinda worked. I have read on Maverick forums that a lot of people do turn off the rearbulbout detection and the hyper-flash does stop. I do not want to do that so I’m happy with the LED third light and halogen brake lights for now. Hope this makes sense.

good video thanks
Thanks, I still only have the reverse, cargo and third brake lights as LEDs. Hey, have a great day.
The blinker indicators arrows on the inside hyper flash but the bulbs blink normally
Mine, the rear lights also hyper-flashed when the brake pedal was depressed.
Add a 6ohm 100w resistor to each side rear brake will take away hyperflash.

@kevinlferguson I kept the reverse bulbs, they are so much brighter then the factory ones.
Did you have to put back the original ones in order to get the recall? I thought it was just a software update
You are correct, you do not need to replace the bulbs. I did just to see how they really worked from factory to adding LEDs
What is the bulb type and number for the third tail light?
Here you go. If you look in the description section of the video there is a discount code. 1 for Amazon and 1 for the Lasfit website. amzn.to/42qSgvR

Did the new rear turn signal bulbs hyperflash on the outside or just on the dash for 3 Cycles😅

Yes, I keep them in and I also changed the cargo lights and third brake light. A great upgrade m, so much brighter.
Fred did the front turn signals hyper flash or was it just the rear?
Just the rears, the front have always been fine. I really love the fronts. I would never want to go back. They are so much brighter
That’s good to know because I just bought the front signals for my Maverick that should be coming in next month.
