    I have the CrystalSky High Bright and I am very happy with it. I have read from comments of those who have the Ultra Bright CrystalSky and they are having issues with it.

      HI MontiR - There were some initial batches of the Ultra Bright monitors that had issues with overheating. DJI has rectified that issue and we our customers have not seen any issues at all with any Crystal Sky for the past 4 months.

    I have the CS U. It can get heavy mounted with the RC. Instead, mount the CS U on a tripod. Mavmount sells a tripod adapter for $29. With the tripod, the CS U can be lifted to eye level, which in addition to lightening the load of the CSU, eliminates neck strain from looking down all the time. With this set up, we are only supporting the RC, which becomes remarkably light weight

      We do not recommend the CS on a tripod as it limits mobility. We have a harness solution that Secraft manufacturers which makes it very easy. It takes the weight and load off by balancing it very well. Check out our youtube video on it.

    You should make a tablet with an ultra bright display.

    Good video, I would only advise that anyone interested in a DJI CS ultra do some research and be aware of the SERIOUS quality control issues that DJI has with some of these monitors. I've got my first one in late December. The backlight went out quickly and I sent back. DJI sent me a refurbished unit about a month later and it failed about 10 minutes into the first flight. In summation, they have had my $1,000 since late December and I still don't have a monitor that works.

      Hi John thanks for the feedback. I have sold 8 so far to customers and have 3 for myself and havn't had any issues. Hopefully its just bad luck and not a bigger issue.

    Hey Dave, Crystalsky is not working with my Mavic Air 2, I found a 7" android tablet with high brightness 1000 nit tablet seems to be the perfect companion to fly the Mavic Air 2 @t . I will love to see a review of this tablet.

      Right now the industry is moving forward with the Crystal Sky monitors as they intergrade very well. The Crystal Sky batteries last for over an hour with the Ultra Brights and are very reasonably priced. When one battery is exhausted you can pop another in really easy.

    The only issue about Crystal Sky is you cannot install 3rd party software. Litchi, Pix4D, etc. if any software could be installed, I would buy one. Last issue is needing my cell to use as a hot spot.

    • @SteelCityDrones
      @SteelCityDrones  5 лет назад

      I agree that it is a big issue not being able to install 3rd party apps. If you look at the new Phantom 4 Pro RTK system you will see DJI has specific jobs for mapping and the PILOT app finally has flight planning functions. Please note that you can setup a hot spot to the monitor using your phone. Under the wireless menu you can select your cell phone as the wireless source. I use it all the time.

    Thank you for the revue. How much of a disadvantage is the CS's lack of cellular? I wander a lot and do not want to have to worry about downloading maps, etc.

    • @SteelCityDrones

      Not much of an issue as you can get a hot spot to it if needed in most circumstances.

    Hello, I wanted to know how I can know if in amazon they sent me the dji crystal sky 7.85 ultra brightness and NOT the 7.85 high brightness, in the box before opening it says if it is ultra or high ??? thanks and greetings from Peru.

    • @SteelCityDrones
      @SteelCityDrones  6 лет назад

      Unfortunately its not easy. DJI would have to confirm for you. Also please be aware that if you buy from Amazon Prime (3rd party) DJI will not honor the warranty. There are a lot of problems right now with the DJI Ultra brights and if you need to send it back for warranty issues you will be out of luck.

    • @Michelle_Flores
      @Michelle_Flores 6 лет назад

      waou had no idea of the problems or the guarantees, but I wanted to know if in the same sky glass tablet says the maximum nits when you are going up brightness in the tablet of DJI or does not say anything of that ??? since if the box does not say anything then on the tablet should say in their configurations or system of how many nits are maximum and there if I could know if it is high brightness or ultra brightness, I hope you can help me before my purchase since you own the tablet and you can know my answers, I hope you can help me thanks and regards.

      @@ricardopr54 There was issues with them overheating and shutting off then going completely dead without coming back on. Most of that has been resolved through firmware updates but like I mentioned buying through 3rd party vendors will prevent you to get anything repaired under warranty.

    Thanks for that comparison. Out of curiosity, did you happen to experience any issues with overheating on the CrystalSky monitors? I have the iPad mini for my drone, and in the Alabama sun, I've had it overheat a couple of times while in flight and shut down. I was wondering if you've had any similar findings on the DJI monitor. Thanks again for your time!

      When they were first released there was some problems but they have all been resolved and it has really been solid reliable for the past 14 months or so. I have sold many of the Ultra Brights to training clients and they have worked really well, no issues.
