Great video and having overkill brakes has to be a good idea for a long and healthy life. Please answer me this... how many hours of effort do you invest making a 24 minute video? It’s obvious you enjoy the hands on mechanical work, but doing all the editing, retakes must be a pain in your butt. Keep up the good work and a big thumbs up from us.
I’m looking at doing the same for my ‘85 4Runner. Do you know what caliper number you used that cleared your 15” wheels. What are the stamping on the side of the brake caliper? I have the same wheels (factory Toyota from ‘85) and want to be sure the calipers I have will clear before I blow everything apart, it’s my daily driver. Thanks for posting this, super helpful.
I used 2002 4Runner brake rotors and calipers. In 2002 and other years there was factory 16” wheels and 15” wheels. I used the calipers for the 15” wheels. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
When you swapped knuckles side to side, did you swap the spindle also? Or put left spindle on right knuckle etc just curious because I am about to start my axle build
@@zomic5438Thank you for checking out my video! I honestly can’t remember, they should be the same. Congrats on your axle build, you will love this brake upgrade it’s the best in my opinion. I’m also using Land Cruiser master and 4runner duel diaphragm booster and fj60 slaves in the rear. More info in another video on my channel. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.
