A couple things to add for anyone doing this swap, if you want to do the Camo method or Toyota unit bearing mod, birfs will need to have the snap ring removed from the outside of the inner shaft. This will allow you to pull the knuckle and not mess with wheel bearing settings. Also, if you do this you will need to do the Martack mod to the inner splines of the shafts to keep them from floating too far into the side gears on the diff.

I only wish those hubs would have fit better... ive had the ifs hub mod done on 3 of my vehicles now, with 3 different sets of rims, and never had any major clearancing issues... had no idea that rims could mess it up so badly haha. We do a similar swap here in Iceland all the time but we space the brake disc back to its original position using a spacer and longer bolts to bolt the disc to the hub, hope that makes sense but the outcome is similar, I imagine with our way we never have issues with the rims touching the caliper and the splash shield serves its original purpose

Same issue but with some Pro Comp 62’s I think, the alloy ones. Turns out they are a -19 offset. I’m guessing each negative number is a 1/4” in or out. A set of wheels with -18 or -16 (closer to 0 offset) will eliminate the use of spacer all together. I think stock wheels run a -6 to -9 on offset, down fall of stock wheels there all 7” wide. And if you need studs you can pull the studs from your spacers. If your running alloy wheels like I am the rear studs aren’t long enough. The spacer studs are plenty long enough and in my case I have an extra set of 12 studs cause I had spacers on the front and the rear.

Hey ya just wondering if this can be done with an 80 series swap into my surf / 4runner. Ive already done the swap and have all the hubs etc they thing is the 80 series is already 2 inches wider than the rear ifs diff, so I've got my wheel offsets to make it the same width front and rear so if I were to do this mod, the front axle would be 4 inches wider than the rear so I would just get 2 inch spacers for the rear. But than my wheels don't fit over my 80 calipars, they only just nick the rim so may need 15mm spacers or something so hopefully its algood 15mm wider in front. But yeah please let me know of they will fit the 80 series axle thank you
