Nice work! Gotta love the look of IFS Hubs and no spacer. Also good call on the brake adapter, no need to drill out the ears of the knuckle or the caliper itself.
If you can do Tacoma brakes on solid axle with that adapter, you should be able to go on up to tundra. I just put tundra rotors and calipers on my Tacoma. Bolt right up. Little bit of mod on lines.
I'm going through this process right now. I get the impression that you're sliding the whole IFS hub on, does that mean you're skipping out on the snap ring for the birf? Is the outer snap ring necessary?
I have a 1992 Toyota pickup extended cab 4x4 extended cab sr5 and would like to swap out whole brake system and convert to rear rotors and delete the valve. Was wondering where to get parts and what part numbers to order? If you could help me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Jay!
Hey Jay my brakes consist of A wilwood brake proportion valve just on the rear A brake residual valve 10lbs of pressure for drumb brakes And 3/16 steel brake line about 35ft of it 3 21 inch steel braided -3an lines
Recommend using regular washers and red lock tight, had some issues with the split washers separating www.yotamasters.com/shop/brakes/front-disc-brake-conversion-solid-axle-tacoma-brakes/
-Yotamasters most of the parts such as rebuild parts bearings seals etc -Rock auto, tacoma brake calipers and rotors -Hubs were my stock ifs that’s came on the truck -g&j aircraft for the brake fittings

Haha I actually have spacers now in addition to the ifs hubs, the bracket came in clutch, made easy work of the process
I love that you interact with the other Toyota community DG
3:35 - exactly why you said it's a good thing to replace the inner axle seals! 😆
6shooter arms on a 4stuck knuckle is wild to me lol.

That’s what’s up Albert!! Really like your video, the jams make you want to vibe.
Thanks Edgar 🤩
Cool! What year of Tacoma & Tundra? What is your wheel size?
What year of tacoma calipers and rotors?
Return of the GC? I’ll believe it when I see it 😅
It’s coming 🤓 goats out of retirement soon
Do you know what size banjo fitting and banjo bolt you got?
Hi, what brand and size are the front leaf springs? thanks
They are a company that no longer is around “Dave’s offroad Performance”
These are the 35 and below leaf kit with the 2nd to bottom leaf removed
Can you put a link where you got the banjo fittings?
Local shop in Ontario California that goes by G&J aircraft

Looks sliiiiiick!!! Send me some pointers on converting 1980 rear drums to disc. Thanks
no hub seal when you run the brackets?
It’s only one seal that’s missing, just the one that has the raised outer edge all inner seals are still ran
Do you know if you can still fit 15" rims after the rotor and caliper upgrade?
I have all the parts can you do the conversion for me?

Curious why turn the hub down
So it clears the rotors
@tylerwelch6988 id probably opt too turn down the rotor😉
@ you could, but then you’re turning down multiple rotors over time. This is one and done.
@tylerwelch6988 true I just don't like how little hub material is left near the studs .
@tylerwelch6988 have you done this mod iam debating what to do. Lol
What year rotors and calipers off taco ? 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive ?
1998 tacoma 4x4
Also keep in mind 4runner calipers don’t require banjo fittings but Tacoma’s do some some brake like work will need to be made
What spec are the hubs turned down to ?
I don’t have the exact spec but close to 1/8 passed the stud
Good amount had to come off
Which calipers are you using v6 toyota ?
1st gen tacoma v6
