- The 39th Ryder Cup was held September 28-30, 2012, at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, U.S. This was the first time that the Ryder Cup was held in Illinois. Europe went into the competition as the cup holders, having defeated the United States 14½ points to 13½ in 2010. The team captains were Davis Love III for the U.S. and José María Olazábal for Europe.

One, if not the greatest sporting event I ever seen
Totally agree!
*one of, if not the.
Remember it like it was yesterday! It was amazing.
@@siannyc3941 Medinah was impeccable! Nestled in those woods, unblemished.
First-class host 🇺🇲 🇪🇺
"The ashes '81" but it's close.
One of my best sport memories EVER
Some achievements diminish over time, but this comeback just doesn't. Ian Poulter's Ryder Cup form is nothing short of indomitable.
Jeremy Muir I agree- esp with the Seve/ Ollie thing going on.. hope Poulter can challenge for majors again & get back to this kind of form for the next match..
It still brings a tear to my eye Ian poulter what a player
Yes, even with Michael Jordan heckling and bullying him nonstop. I'm an American and I'm proud to be, but the crowd that day had some pretty awful people in it (only a few, most of us were respectful and just wanted to see great golf!)
@@amelieholbrook3001 Great comment.
Big Phil, you are a credit to golf and the USA Ryder Cup team. Unbelievable sportsmanship.
been to all types of sporting events but without a doubt going to this ryder cup is the greatest one of them all
I really don't like Golf, but even I was captivated by this. What a brilliant competition this was!
Kaymers put on 18 is sick. How could he be so cool? Bang in. I mean, that is THE PUT in golf, a decider on 18 for the cup.
I get goosebumps watching this.hoping for more of the same this weekend.come on Europe 👌👍
The most impressive win of the last day for me was Paul Lawrie DISMANTLING reigning fed ex cup holder Brandt Snedeker 5&4. He was later quoted as saying that was the best 14 holes he'd ever played. Makes it all the more special
Looks like it was so good, it's been scrubber from the interweb
Poulter is the man of the event. El puto amo.
For seve
fantastic .....
good boy Polts
the man's a legend
It was fucking fantastic !!!
You could've mentioned Francesco Molinari VS Tiger Woods.
Watching this after the Keeg snub
Kaymer's putt only clinched a halve. Woods missed a short putt at the last hole to halve his match with F. Molinari and allow Europe to win outright.
If it had ended in a 14 - 14 tie then Europe would have retained the Ryder Cup because they won it in 2010.
They should have shown this during the Brexit vote.
Why? We didnt pick up our country and move it out of Europe mate.
True. The dim fuckers that voted us out prefer whippets and rugby league to golf so they would fail to see the point I was trying to make. MATE.
Pretty sure we left the EU not Europe.
Graeme McDowell is possibly the worst European Ryder Cup player of all time!
