Miracle at Medinah is number 1 by far on any legitimate list.
In a pure golfing results sense maybe, but not as a sporting spectacle. The War by the Shore was incredible
@@craigmorrow2939 This is a biased American list though, Craig. America gotta be #1!
It's definitely America biased, but no 1 is an American win. It's also the right choice
The concession is the greatest moment in sport
GOLF is AMAZING can we agree and regardless of your favoirte these are INCREDIBLE and im showing my 4 yr old what this sport is all about. Patience, class, etiquette, Community. Glad these exist online for us to see always.
All I remember from the 2006 Ryder Cup is Europe winning and Darren Clarke downing a pint of Guinness in about 7 seconds like an absolute boss
Woosnam hugging him was that best moment
I think the top 9 Ryder cup moments were all at medinah 😂😂😂
definitely
It's an American commentary so it was never going to be high up on the list.
Definitely not. The War By the Shore was amazing. Calcavecchia's meltdown v Monty was an incredible thing to watch. And there was the gamesmanship between Azinger and Seve. it was a full on war
That’s just because it’s relevant to you, there were events before that, but you weren’t around for them.
Poulter just goes to an extra level when it’s the Ryder Cup.
The Postman: "I WILL deliver a point!"
No more Ryder Cups for LIV traitor Poulter !!!
@@garrington120 lots of changes in the last few years.
How can the miracle at medinah only be number 8 😂
The Americans didn't win
Like the PGA would choose a non American moment. It's the same as the Fowler/McIlroy rookie of the year debacle
Jacks concession caused mayhem in the American camp. Shows the absolute class of the man that sportsmanship was more important to him, than glory. If Jacklin had missed that putt, he would be always associated with it.
Medinah is by far the greatest accomplishment in Ryder cup history.
Also, the Americans should have been disqualified at Brookline for those uniforms.
And that run on the green by the team
Was going to comment but you did it for me 👍
@@jasoncarroll6615 Karma came back in Medinah for Brookline.
They were cool back then
Credit to the Americans for the comeback in Brookline, despite some unsavoury aspects mostly by the crowd heckling. I blame Mark James more than anyone for that defeat. He deserved to lose, the way he approached it.
1985 and 1987 were equally good Ryder Cup moments for Europe as Medinah. First win for Europe followed by first win on US soil
R.I.P. Sève the hero Ballesteros 💙❤️💙❤️😓😓🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭r.i.p.
He said 2008 was Poulter’s Ryder cup debut. Ian Poulter’s Ryder cup debut was in 2004 at Oakland Hills
My first was at the 2016 Hazeltine. Being there for both a practice round on Wendesday and the Saturday Round was unlike anything I've experienced. It was amazing. I'm excited when they come back again in 2024.
Darren Clarke looks like he's 20 years younger in that interview then he was at the Ryder cup
He looks good
Miracle at medinah really should be number one. It is in my books.
Johnny Miller after Langer misses at Kiawah... "nobody makes that putt". Pure class.
Nice I remember the Golden Bear Thanks for sharing Deb 👌👍✌
Criminal to mention the Reed/Rory match but not the Mickelson/Garcia match. 19 birdies made between the two of them. 10 by Mickelson. Which was only good for a half point. Unbelievable.
Jack Nicklaus: "I didn't think that you would miss, but I wasn't going to give you the chance".
Sam Snead was a bit upset with Jack, apparently. Jack was class.
Jack teaches master classes in class
All class shown by Jack. And Darren Clarke had me balling
You a ballin' thug
Mickelson-Garcia at Hazeltine was one of the best matchups I have seen as well. It gets overshadowed by Reed-McElroy, but it was tremendous
Have seen all from the late 1980’s to this day, still moves me. Great stuff😊
“The Concession” aka. A standard 1ft gimme
Medinah at #8 is an utter disgrace!
It is a US list. Medinah will always be the best Ryder Cup.
Gotta love Montie. He keeps it real.
R.I.P. to Darrens Clark’s wife r.i.p.💙❤️💙❤️😢😢😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻😥😥😭😭
The one Ryder cup I went to was 99 in Brookline. Us open here next week. Can't wait
Ryder Cup is Everything
'85, which was Europe's first win since I think the 50s, not being on here is an awful snub (and I'm an American)
So many levels of intensity 😂
Don't forget the cop who drove Rory to the course to make his tee time by about 10 minutes...
Slap Head Reed made my day
Yanks gonna yank...
Had Langer made the putt 1991 would be ranked #8.
Had Kaymer missed, 2012 would be ranked higher for how miraculously Europe tried to come back, it still wasn't enough to beat us "The Mighty Yanks".
i like how the hole, match or trophy wasnt actually over when they trotted all over olli's line
Any class from leonard he conceeds ollies putt. It was for a half not a win so wouldnt have damaged any momentum.
The Europeans never really feel bad about ‘99 because when all is said and done, we didn’t wear those shirts.
😂👌
Ian Poulter played his first Ryder Cup in 2004.
The Postman has his own Number
Clark looks in great shape,
They don't make them like Jack anymore.
The class. The humanity. What a man.
Lost when he supported Trump
To be fair, the Mickelson/Garcia match was much better played overall than Reed/Rory. They fizzled on the back nine quite a bit. I believe Mickelson and Garcia both shot 62-63 or something ridiculous and still halved the match
They had the same score actually at -9
The fact that guy made the American win without putting or missing a 2 foot is amazing
1999 was supposed to be the greatest win by our team until they marred it with that run on the green
when Leonard holed his putt.
An American made this list
Makes a change from watching the biased footage from sky the last 4 months
That’s what we do. Americans just do what they want. Like the time we were like “Colonies? Nah bro. We are done with that.”
@@00Phat12345you got that right !!
@@jimhalpert4959😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
A lot of Americans made this list. Because we are awesome. See what I did there?
The war by shore!
Presumably the Americans had forgotten that most of European countries had just fought side by side with them in the gulf war.
1999 was a classic example of what happens when you let drunks who know nothing about golf buy tickets
I'm from Boston, I don't know how medinah isn't higher on the list considering the Jose Seve connection, plus the ridiculous comeback
1999 was a sporting disgrace. Maybe the worst thing Golf has witnessed in recent memory. 1991 was the prelude to it.
Medinah is number 1 by a mile!!! Number 8? Do me a favour
God I miss golf.
Medinah is number 1 by a mile...... 10-4 down and won with style and class led by Poulter and all for Seve.... If the Americans had class and didn’t run on the green when Jose still had a putt then Brookline would be 2, but they don’t and therefore it’s not....
Darren Clarke my golfing hero
Medinah #1 without question, #2 has to be Reid/Rory match, Brookline was a great comeback but a sporting disgrace so should be thrown out. Poulter should have his own top 20+ but I'm biased lol.
Yea it was ok for Sergio to run up and down the fairways and behave like a child all week at Brookline though. The Reid/Rory match was good but the Mickelson/Garcia match was great. 19 birdies. 10 by Phil, which was only good for a half point.
Intresting to see the brookline win without mentioning the american team running across the line of olazabal's putt presumably not intentionally. Then making him hit the putt followed by nicklaus conceeding a putt of 2 feet to jacklin two extremes on etiquette.
They did not run across his line that’s just sour grapes.
Them celebrating on the green when he has to putt was out of line but I dare any team to hold back that emotion given the circumstances
Poulter made his debut at the 2004 Ryder Cup didn’t he???
So America’s last win in Europe is a bigger achievement than Europe’s first win in America 🤦🏻♂️
One person's "unbridled enthusiasm" is another person's "disgraceful scenes"
The only time I can root for Patrick Reed
That narcissistic cheater doesn't deserve to be cheered on.
no sergio vs phil singles match? they made 19 birdies lol
Only Americans can be so short minded to put Medinah on 8th place
Mickelson V Garcia in 2016 is the greatest match in all of the Ryder Cup
Can't hear most of the interviews
Remember when the American golf world actually loved Patrick Reed. Lol
I know that this is the PGA channel (so they will be biased for the Americans, of course), but come on... The Medinah comeback will always be the best ever Ryder Cup moment. I mean, coming back from 10-4 down late Saturday, with Poulter birdying his last 5 holes (being 2 down with 7 to go), I mean, we will never see anything like it again, I believe. Also, with the European Team wanting to celebrate a comeback in the most "Seve" style possible, after his passing... Other than that, the whole McIlroy vs Reed 2016 match is the best Ryder Cup match I've ever seen... Watching the 1991 footage is heartbreaking as a European... Darren Clarke's comeback to competition after his wife's passing... All of them great moments. That is why the Ryder Cup is the best golf tournament in the world. Forget the Majors, if you want tension, the Ryder Cup is the best...
The European team this year is very good, I hope the American team come together and if I was the captain I'm putting Brooks and Bryson together and they would probably dominate!
Medinah #1 all day
you honestly didnt put medinah on the first spot ???
Ryder cup is SEVE
One minor problem with h the 1999 come back…those god awful shirts😮
Hate to be correcting a video but Poulters debut was 2004 at Oakland Hills
What is with those shirts at 8:40 ? That is some 90s vibes...
No mention of Christy O'Connor's 2 iron to beat Fred Couples in 1989?
Wrong order! Miracle most exciting ever
Medinah is one of the best, but now we have Emma to take us further.
Ryder cup ONE Seve and Olazabal
Geezus why do they make such a big deal about Nicklaus giving a two footer when the Cup was already decided. They make it sound like some incredible act of sportsmanship. What a joke.
One thing is that poulter first Ryder cup was in 2004
An American did this list..... Medinah #8 no way
How is Phil vs Sergio not on here
This list must be from a USA perspective - surely the Belfry in 1985 (when Europe won for the first time in 30 years) and the 1987 Cup (when Europe won in the US for the first time in goodness knows how long) have to be in any rational top 10. The heroes of the modern Ryder are Nicklaus (who proposed changing Britain to Europe), Jacklin (Europe’s greatest captain) and Seve (still Europe’s inspiration). This top 10 does none of them justice.
Nicholas was privately savaged by American Captain Sam Sneed in 1969, feeling it was selfish of Jack to concede.
Brookline was a classic, but I hate how they always play the quote of Ben Crenshaw. What else is he going to say?
Poulter debut was in 2004?
This is just another reason Jack will always be the best on and off the course. Eldridge doesn’t even come close.
Nonsense, Tiger's the GOAT
The uniforms don't allow Poulter to wear his favorite 👖
Just wait until Poulter is Captain..
Brookline was the epitome of crass behaviour on a course and shouldn't be on any top list.
Tigers fist pumps are classic!
The Ryder cup is the greatest event in golf!! I said what I said.
How is 2010 Celtic Manor not in the list
While he comes across as abrasive a little, there are very few golfers who want to play Poulter at the Ryder Cup
Just for the record, Darren Clarke, like Rory Mcllroy, is from Northern Ireland, not (the Republic) of Ireland.
them US Brookline tops were the worst ever hahahahah
Literally stopped watching this when I saw Medinah at 8. Know it's going to be one sided 🙄
Medinah still hurts. Deal with it.
Top 9?? The RULE is 10, Top 10! 10, 10, 10...its tennnnnnnnn, not nine, 10. Did I mention its Top 10??? Top 9, I don't think so BUDDY. I'm ready to explode. This snowflake is MELTING
Poulter debut was 04, not 08 😎🏌️♂️
Poulters Ryder cup debut was 2004. Who did the research for this because that’s a shocking mistake 😂
This is USAs best chance at winning on European soil since 93. The talents of America far outweigh Europe this year, but the Europeans always overachieve. Should be a great Ryder cup...
Agreed man but this is golf. Each and everyone of these guys from both teams can get hot. Its going to be a battle i think
Unfortunately, our guys got blown out in this year's tournament.
Poulter debuted in 2004 not 2008
These seem very bias. Monday finish at Celtic Manor & Europe’s first win on US soil deserve to be in here. Also, Miracle at Medinah far out ranks Brookline as Europe managed to complete the comeback away from home. And FYI Phil vs Sergio at Hazeltine was a better match than Rory vs Reed....
James Wilson...we all look forward to your video with all of YOUR choices on it. Please post it soon. Thanks
Liked the video, liked that jack was honoured for living up to the spirit of golf instead of the jingoistic way it’s played now a bit too close to the edge .As for the war on the shore all the camouflage we were allies fighting in Iraq at the time it showed poor class and shamed the game by the way I’m British and a big fan of America
Imagine losing to that cheat reed that gotta hurt will never forget MEDINAH and clarkie too
9? You couldn't find 10?
Darren Clarkes home country is Northern Ireland, not Ireland - so many errors in this video
Ian Poulter is terrifying! 😲
