There was great concern about how much light remained to compete, on the third green Ernie could not read the green in the dark, but managed to pick the right line through memory of the course he has played a thousand times. Tigers turn needing to make his put to tie, now it was even darker, I could never find any news or report of how he made his putt, my best guess was his caddie gave his 2 cents and Tiger let loose his decision, when the putt dropped, the cheer was reminiscent of a Masters roar. It's too bad that the Presidents Cup could not tee it up a little earlier on the final day to have daylight for a playoff if needed, believe me it was some of the best golf I have witnessed.
