Poulter is a legend and that performance on Saturday was one of greatest ever
@@topgunsam Nothing was ruined Karen. Go relax a bit.
@@topgunsam only in your head pal, and living rent free clearly! 😂
Poulter "WAS" a legend, what he done in 2014 was without question BRILLIANT! - however time to come back to earth and reality/ Poulter now is a has been - and poulter no longer gives 1 monkeys arse about Ryder cup ( he knows he's out + for good) - sold his soul + went to liv golf ////........he's a has been + if anyone thinks Ian poulter gives 1 toss about promoting the game of golf there on some heavy shit!.........................only thing Ian poulter cares about in 2023 is Ian poulter..........he defected + should be shunned!!!!!!!!!!!! WANK!
I really don’t understand how a guy who has never won a major, destroys everyone he comes across in Ryder Cups. It’s almost like he’s the greatest match play style player ever.
He lives for this, for the team, for the atmosphere. He lives for Ryder cup, it gives him the right drive to deliver. He is also very good in match plays. It is different from the normal play at majors. He is able to play his very best every single Ryder Cup. And I am glad, 'cause a Ryder cup without Poulter is no true Ryder cup for me. I cannot imagin him not being there.
So right, he loves this competition so much that it helps him to raise his game above other performances, a true team player !
The Machine he’s made the most of his ability. Have you? Are you just a talentless twat... yeah I think so.
He’s got the heart of a footballer. He’s amazing in a team environment.
That's easy to explain. He is a team player by heart. He is a really good golf player. And therefore he's an amazing team player caught up in an individual sport. Then comes Ryder cup... and the beast gets out.
Some might say that Poulter has never won a major but every Ryder Cup win is a collective major in my eyes
LoL....it's just an exhibition.
Mike Fallopian tell that to Olazábal
@@jamescannon5895 ...do you have a number for him?
Winning the Ryder Cup would mean more to me than a major
Interesting lyric, never heard Noel sing that one before.
EVEN IN 2020 WITH ALL THE CRAP GOING ON TODAY , I STILL GET EMOTIONAL WATCHING THIS GAME .
That is such a good documentary - absolutely love Poult's commitment to the game and his team mates. Fantastic.
This documentary series on Medina is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I am not a golf player but my respect for these guys, performing under that kind of pressure, is huge. And Poulter, you can’t but love this guy. Tremendous passion. That Saturday evening match was quite something.
I never tire of watching this. Perhaps the greatest ever contribution to a team win in the history of the Ryder Cup. I remember waking my whole household up at 2am in Dubai when Rosey holed that putt against Phil the thrill on the 17th.
There's something about Poulter and the Ryder Cup. He finds a whole other gear to the way he plays and under such high pressure circumstances. He's an incredible player!!
I always dreamt his caddie told him on Sunday at Augusta : "Poult, we are 13.5 and we need this point, all other single are red" ;)
I'm going to Paris saturday for this great venue and I'm buzzing. Couldn't afford it, but my mates said, if you're not going - we won't either, so they offered to pay for me. I really can't find words for their behavior, but I'm obviously very happy to have such kind of friends. I've played golf for 29 years and stopped immedietly for about two years ago due to my lack of finances, but I still love the game. It's a shame that it has to come down to money, but this really gets me dreaming again for that perfect round.Come on Europe.
Mads Brundbjerg You'll be jumping tonight then. Brilliant.
bet you love your mates even more now
Glad u got to see it mate. Cmon!,,,
Love the Ryder Cup. Love Poulter.
the postman delivered again today.
Yep.First class delivery.
When I think of team Europes victories over the last ten year Poulter is the first player that comes to mind! RC Hero!
Sheer MAGIC..... I'll never forget this as long as I live..
Watching this at the time of the 2023 Ryder cup when we just smashed USA on the Friday matches thinking Ian should be there he is one of our Ryder cup legends
I can't believe someone can hit a golf ball under that much pressure and with that much adrenaline... Mind boggling.
I'll have some of what you're smoking my friend!
Steve Vegan ummm ok
@Tony if you have ever played team golf, even at club level, last match out, team relying on u, you'll get it
“He’s just shanked it and you’re asking me to give him a 4 foot putt” 🤣🤣
Brian Kelly how relatable hey
Ian is just one of the European treasures who will shine even brighter when we all look back in 20 years! What a beast when he wears the European logo on his sleeves
He should be Perennial Captain
Certainly the most insightful report on a super-class comptition I have ever seen. It is intelligent and explains so much about what makes a winning team. Mr Poulter - no matter what is said about him - is a great guy and a wonderful player and competitor. And a wide man, too! Great video!
So glad he’s on the team this year, we may need another miracle
I was there that Sunday…on Saturday afternoon it was 10-4, and the US was leading the last two matches on the course with only a few holes to go, so 12-4 looked very possible to close out the day. As a US fan going the next day, I remember feeling very disappointed that “this thing will virtually be over by the time we settle in tomorrow, there’ll be no drama left for us tomorrow”….so the last couple matches Saturday evening I was kinda rooting for Europe just so it would make Sunday a little closer and won’t be over so fast. Bottom line: beware what you wish for. Nonetheless, being there that Sunday is a day I’ll never forget.
... good on you mate.
Some we win, some we lose. As a kid this was a non-event.
Then came Seve.
The wins felt incredible. The losses, like Brookline, Valhalla ... and Kiwah, hurt. But that's sport.
I just hope that the event is played in the right spirit and the supporters behave.
Let's respect each other, the game and its traditions, laid down by the likes of Jack and those before him.
I played at Veralum in St Albans the other week. Sam Ryder's home club. It's not a fancy club, but is good nonetheless.
Best regards
What a guy. Stands with the greats of Europe’s Ryder Cup History 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Balls of steel when it matters. His passion, pride and will to win in this environment as a team player elevates his play to another level!
I used to hate this guy, then I liked the guy, then I saw him play Ryder Cup and now I love the guy.
Going this way too XD
Ian Poulter. Best Ryder Cup player ever along with Severiano Ballesteros.
Monty as well
Poulters good in the ryder cup buy he's never been good enough to win major. He's an average golfer always has been
@@LUFC123 average golfers are not professionals dumbass
Forget Ballesteros. It’s Poulter, Faldo, Monty, Garcia
@@whateverhappenshappens5023 honestly cracks me up reading RUclips comments from nobodies critizing professional players
Absolutely Awesome!!! They should erect a statue of Ian Poulter double first pumping at the members entrance to Medinah. Just as a friendly reminder that anything is possible. And Europe is the business!!
Poulter lives for the Ryder cup I love his passion a true team player.👌 Ryder cup legend
Best sporting event I ever witnessed :)
Great piece of documentary. Medina 2012 has been the individual golf event that struck me the most. I was in Valhalla 2008 and Celtic Manor 2010, the Masters and several others but that Sunday in Chicago still make me cry like a child. One of the purest and most sports in the world, played by fierce sportsmen just for the honor (in the case of the RC). The putt of Rose on 17 against Lefty (and his supernatual grace to accept the defeat with a smile) and many more made that sunday look like it was planned by the best Steven Spielberg. I never liked Poult but getting older and wiser, I start liking his soul
As an Australian I’m neutral in this. If anything, I’m not a huge fan of the poms, but how anyone can not love this blokes passion is beyond me. Passion is great in anything, but especially in a sport where so many are reserved like golf, it’s truly inspiring to see. America will always have the better team on paper but blokes like this are what make it great.
Nice words mate, good on ya
Go back far enough and you are a pom potentially then r kid😉
brilliant and Poulter no matter what he does as a single player will be a great of the Ryder cup.
When it comes to the Ryder cup this guy is a straight savage
You delivered for jose when he needed it.unbelieveable even in 2019.
What a wonderful documentary. I can’t wait to see that desire and determination burning in those eyes and of course the fist pumps!
Every time I watch this I feel exactly the same emotions. I just can not imagine any good captain ever leaving Ian Poulter out of the team!
Watching two golfers slug it out in the final round of a major is quite remarkable. However if you want to see the highest quality golf the Ryder Cup is the ultimate. Twenty four golfers delivering almost perfection on every hole is the best golf you will ever witness!!
What a beast this man is one of Ryder cups greatest
What a man.......I have never been his biggest fan.....but passion, emotion spirit desire cannot be underestimated in all his Ryder cup performances.
Great video, very eloquent thoughtful narrative from a brilliant Ryder cup player. The postman always delivers, well done 2018, fantastic.
Quality. Ian's is a true legend.
I come back to this video before every Ryder Cup, just to get pumped up. Unbelievable level of passion. You can't beat The Ryder Cup.
He was Mr Motivator when it came to the Ryder Cup, like Seve and Tony Jacklin used to be. He may not be our greatest Ryder Cupper (like Garcia/Monty) but he always lifted the team, and came through at crunch points. Brilliant RC player.
Cant wait for Ian to be Captain of the team - what an absolute inspiration he has been. Love his passion for the team
Greatest Ryder Cupper of them all, he can carry an entire team on his back and loves doing it.
INSANE documentary. It's so so good. This is the pinnacle of golf.
what an amazing man golfer and patriot
Can’t wait for next week!! One for the bucket list!
You just somehow knew on the Saturday something special was happening, all that effort and emotion from Ian couldn’t come to nothing. Inspirational.
I'd love to see Poulter vs. Reed in the singles next week - both complete beasts at matchplay.
Ian Poulter played golf on a different level that week. The mind boggles at how he can play under that much pressure and even hit the ball never mind sink all thoughs puts? Mr Ryder cup :)
I could listen to this man talk about the Ryder Cup all day long. Go on The Postman, and GO ON EUROPE! 🇪🇺
A superb production Ian will be remembered as one of the greatest Ryder Cups in history.
Leader Amongst Men.
The first Ryder cup I’ve ever watched, will never be beaten 💪🇪🇺 let’s get it this year boys
How they play that quality of golf under that kind of pressure is insane . Ian is a legend in Ryder cups
Chills. Never forget. Ever. Love you, Ryder cup.
For Ryder cup he is on the Mount Rushmore for Europe. Just an absolute competitor and team player.
A lot of respect for this man. Makes us ordinary golfers proud and honoured to play this unbelievable game.
This Medinah series is 11/10 content. Absolutely fantastic
I would love to have been there but after watching this I have experienced raw emotion, it's as if I was there. Superb video 👌
Mr Poulter your shot on the 16th final day the chip from the rough it was perfect 1st off the sound of it the contact spot on 2nd the landing you couldn't do any better perfection it was your best and most important shot of the competition.
1W to go ... cant wait!!!
GO EUROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His passion for this tournament and will to win is fantastic no matter how well he does through out the year I would want him in the team.
Great video, they’ve built on the passion of Seve to foster an amazing team. Poulter can definitely take credit for the turn around. His point on Saturday afternoon was crucial to the win.
Total legend, that was hands down the best, thrilling comeback ever.
The Ryder Cup is about passion. Seve, Jose and Poulter encapsulate that needed
An amazing documentary emotional absolutely fantastic 😊
The putt at 24:25 gave me goosebumps #teamblue
Our Ryder's LION !!!! Thank's for all IJ !!!!
Ryder Cup Legend
What a great video, love the passion. I agree with Hamblyrock.
I had tears 3 times throughout that video. 😀❤️
Postman what a Ryder cup player the comeback was epic and you can't imagine how team USA must of felt that night. one of the greatest sporting comebacks ever
I have watched this video so many times it's extremely motivational and as Ian said the Americans can't keep holing monster putts thier " luck " had to end and how Ian kept his positivity is mind blowing especially under such extreme pressure as the Ryder Cup. But playing in one it might be your one and only occasion in life to represent your country so don't give up its not over until its over , never say die attitude. I know it sounds very cringe fact 10 but that's the attitude and difference between winning and losing
Fantastic 45 minutes of content. Bravo 👏👏👏
Ian Poulter is great player and he will be a great Ryder Cup captain some day.
He'll never be a captain. I hope.
Best video ever, thanks Ian Poulter,
Love the fire in his eyes when recalling it alo
What an example of of a man/hunter, a drive to succeed not just for himself but for his team,
Way up there, great person, and great golfer Golfer. Ian Herries.
So glad Ian’s in this year mr Ryder cup himself 🏌️♀️
can't wait!
Just beautiful
Poulter is Mr Ryder cup, roll on next week
This documentary on Ian Poulter's hands is fascinating! The way he folds them, and not to mention how he rubs his fingers...what a story.
Fantastic ryder cup player, need that passion!
My god Ian. Genius. Even today. Well proud!!!!!
One of my favourite players. He and Justin Rose won the Ryder Cup.
Fabulous video and show what this means to players
The records of Woods and Poulter in majors and Ryder Cups are so polarised with it's alarming. One of golf's anomalies I can't fathom.
Love his passion
I watched this by pure chance on a live streaming at 540 pixels maybe 10 seconds delay and I still to this date cannot believe what happened that last day. I enjoyed every come back from everyone. The the German final put. Ffs.
He is Mr.Rydercup !!!
One of tbe greatest sporting moments in history..poults is class
Amazing!!!
I like watching Ian in Ryder Cups
10/2023 just watched this, amidst all the controversary today ...Ryder Cup 2023. Listening to Poulter, you couldn't even comprehend money was any kind of motivator.
Ian's capability of facial language puts a lot of actors into shame. Those close camerashots work out just perfectly.
Oh and MJ, you can't stare down that pair of eyes. You should have known better! It's outright dangerous, and can deprive you of your sleep for ages.
And what a catchy storyteller he truly is! Remembering the RC into every detail. Calmness, timing and control in his voice are amazing and in a proper accent spiced with pride, passion, satisfaction. An absolute pleasure to watch!
Wonderful doco..
Does anyone know the name of the song being played on the piano at 37:18? Thanks!
The man is a lightening rod. Talented and drive to win. I would have him in the team in some position always. Like Seve and Ollie. They are must haves.
Poulter was an ANIMAL that weekend he played unreal golf incredible
