    This is what Europe makes so special! One of the best debut matches ever played and still super humble! Ole Ole Ole

    Lee Westwoods matchplay knowledge to give Stricker the putt so Nic would putt first against Tiger is pure masterclass matchplay.

      What is the significance?

    • @jpa221
      @jpa221 4 года назад +6

      @@bccoleman8678 When Lee Westwood conceded Strickers putt,he denied Tiger the option of putting first,thus allowing Nic to hole his putt and put all the pressure back on Tiger to make his putt.As Nic said,Tiger smiled to himself when Lee did it.Knowing full well he would of done exactly the same to them. Tiger then under immense pressure misses his putt. For Lee to have the calmness and focus to read the situation in the heat of battle shows what a great player he is.

    I happened to watch this last. But I think it’s one of the best in the series as it’s from a rookie’s point of view. And during the course of the video you actually feel him maturing from this rookie to being a master of the Ryder Cup. Great video guys! Thanks for the story Nicolas.

    An incredible example of a sportsman's mental strength & self belief raising his game to a level that nobody else could live with on that day. The motivation to contribute to, & not to let down your team, is incredibly powerful & one that golfers don't experience outside of this event.

    brilliant interview - totally different guy when you watch him play. 'english knowledge not good enough'.....bloody hell, 95% of the Americans speak crappier English than he does.
