And now he has won it as Captain. Absolute Legend and so humble.

There’s nothing like the Ryder cup and this one was special. Not least because of two captains with great class and humility.

Without the first two days there’d have been no miracle, the pain brought the joy.

I know it will never happen and sure no one from the American team would want to do it. But to hear about this from the other side of the Atlantic would be interesting.
To understand their mindset going into Sunday. How they felt etc.

Excellent...loving this...don't think we'll ever see the likes again. Roll on France!!! Gotta fancy the US this time....

Too much rough for the bombers on the US team, Brooks and DJ neutralised, there’s a reason they don’t win over here.

I hear you,you could add Bubba to that list but also Rory on current form, speaking of which Garcia,Stenson and one two others are seriously lacking at the moment. I pray I'm wrong but the US are due a win here, better Captain and team for me.

notformebeaky I'd argue that "every single time"isn't quite right,we've been favourites for a lot of the recent Ryders. I just think this time the yanks will hold on to it. We've got too many rookies and too many out of touch vets to pull this one off for me..hope I'm completely wrong,we'll see come the weekend!

notformebeaky I understand the format,it's just that I feel we've too many unknowns going into this one,Garcia,Stenson plainly playing way below their best, six rookies and even Poulter is a risk considering he wasn't great last time out. This US team have the togetherness, talent and the Trophy to see them through this one..Poorest European team for a decade.

notformebeaky From memory I think we've been favourites at least 3 or 4 times in the last decade so not sure where your thinking is that the Americans are always odds on? I like Rahm Fleetwood and Noren but like I said think we'll be a bit short this time out.Bryson blew up yes,but as you pointed out its Matchplay,a bad hole can be forgotten and you move on.
I'm not convinced with Bjorn as skipper either to be honest,I'm not at all sure he can inspire or has the wherewithal and gravitas that's needed at this level.Furyk, by contrast, has it all in spades for me,a scrapper and a winner, sparky and witty he'll be able to lift the team when needed and cool them down when required.
Like you said it will be tight and could go either way but, pains me to say it,if I was gambling man I'd be backing the Yanks this year.
