- The Entertainer on a real Harpsichord, the 17th century piano. Played in a baroque/classical version. If Scott Joplin had been born in the time of Bach or Mozart, he would have written The Entertainer in this way. Like 17th - 18th century. Hope you Enjoy this beautiful pice on the french harpsichord.

Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer" just never gets old.

@@stellar3327 Then what is it? A composition?
People in 3021 will believe this is Mozart.
@Jacob H Is that when you were born?
Yes, it has too many notes
🤪😂
Absolutely true!
Correction: they will _know_ this is Mozart because, similar to the result of the Fast Food War as portrayed in the 1993 documentary Demolition Man, all 18th century composers will be Mozart after the Great Composer War of 2981
The Entertainer always brings back awesome memories from my childhood when my uncle was playing it for me every time he was visiting us. He even recorded a tape for me so I could play it all year long. And now the Harpsichord version is my favorite one. Thank you for recording it and sharing it with us!

Genuinely sad J.S. Bach didn't live to see jazz music's rise - would have been right up his alley as he was, apparently, a tremendous improviser.
ruclips.net/video/Y9OUfBDIGhw/видео.html
Now imagine Mozart or bach with modern instruments, sampler, modular, tracks, synths... AI music maker!
All composers up until the romantic era were great improvisers. Cadenzas in concertos were always improvised.

I absolutely love the harpsichord. I wish we heard more of it today.
Same
This is great, very well arranged-it kind of sounds a little bit like a calliope style organ that would have played ragtime music back in the day
Playing it on x1.5-2.0 speed gives me major Super Mario 2 vibes.
ruclips.net/video/9mh_9bX7zW0/видео.html
It sounds that way because with a harpsichord the strings are plucked rather than hit with hammers.
I feel like I am on a carousel. Strange how the harpsichord sounds like a calliope organ with this piece.
ruclips.net/video/9mh_9bX7zW0/видео.html
Calliope's sound nothing like a harpsichord, the tone, action, and whole mechanism is completely different.
@@OrganMusicYT he/she doesn’t Said in General, But just personal opinion for this piece. Relax😂
@@helloandbye1036 it might be their opinion, but having worked with and listened to instruments like this for the best part of 20 years, there is such a VAST difference in the sound of a calliope vs a harpsichord.
I thought this sounded like a calliope too.
Harpsichords just don't enable the nuance you can get out of a piano, and sound more mechanical, like a calliope.
Also the trills, making up for the lack of sustain on long notes.
Wish I had your talent. Even my old school parents love your music!
Thanks, Adrian!

Was wondering that myself. Is the harpsichord so different that it messes with his natural hand-key memory that he has with piano?
@@mrapierwit yep. This piece isn’t hard relative to his skill level and other pieces he plays without looking.
It's a different instrument and probably a different arangment for it.

I am quite impressed, I thought it would have sounded more "unclear" because of the natural harpsichord sound.
Beautiful - I think its the nicest rendition of the song I've heard, and you played it at a reasonable tempo instead of flying like so many others do.
The harpsichord is an interesting instrument to say the least
a piano variant played only with 4 fingers because the thumb was the devil/for peasants to use during that era 🤔🤔

If there are two keyboards why do they move in unison?
@@petedeolympio7789 I think the bottom one played the note and an 8th above, while the top only play one note
@@petedeolympio7789 With 2 keyboard harpsichords, you are able to couple them and uncouple them. while they are coupled, pressing a note on the lower keyboard will play the same note on the upper keyboard. This increases the loudness and changes the tone slightly. When they are uncoupled, this aforementioned effect does not happen.
