    The Entertainer always brings back awesome memories from my childhood when my uncle was playing it for me every time he was visiting us. He even recorded a tape for me so I could play it all year long. And now the Harpsichord version is my favorite one. Thank you for recording it and sharing it with us!

      @@helloandbye1036 it might be their opinion, but having worked with and listened to instruments like this for the best part of 20 years, there is such a VAST difference in the sound of a calliope vs a harpsichord.

      I thought this sounded like a calliope too.
      Harpsichords just don't enable the nuance you can get out of a piano, and sound more mechanical, like a calliope.
      Also the trills, making up for the lack of sustain on long notes.

    Reminds me of the music you hear on an old carousel. It’s really a pretty sound. I never realized that it had the color keys the opposite of today’s keys.

      @@petedeolympio7789 With 2 keyboard harpsichords, you are able to couple them and uncouple them. while they are coupled, pressing a note on the lower keyboard will play the same note on the upper keyboard. This increases the loudness and changes the tone slightly. When they are uncoupled, this aforementioned effect does not happen.

    This sounds like I’m at the carnival at the beach I used to go to all the time when I was a kid. All the rides played some sort of music but the merry-go-round would always play this song on a harpsichord sounding instrument. Man. This is just nostalgic.

    I think it's the first time I've seen him smile. I also like the tremolos he added. Not to mention, this piece brings me back to my childhood, as there was an ice cream truck that drove around the neighborhood playing this very tune. 😊🍦

      Was wondering that myself. Is the harpsichord so different that it messes with his natural hand-key memory that he has with piano?

    The harpsichord gives this piece such a carnival atmosphere. I could imagine hearing this on the boardwalk at twilight, as the seaside fun faire comes to life.
