I'm completely outside of American politics and the ideals within- but I'm shocked that a man's career was ruined for a scream and a hoarse voice. That says volumes- absolute volumes- about the American political psyche.
It's been around for a long time. They say that one reason why John F. Kennedy won the election in 1960 is because when they appeared on TV together for the first ever televised Presidential debates, Richard Nixon looked ill while Kennedy looked strong and vibrant. (Richard Nixon WAS ill at that time. He had the flu.) It's probably also one reason that it wasn't widely known at the time of his presidency that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was in a wheelchair. It's nothing new.
Hallie Harker also, Nixon’s PR team didn’t know how to cosmetically prep Nixon the way most candidates today are prepped before going on TV every time. Hell, even before going on stage: stage make-up, for example. They didn’t understand that TV magnifies everything and images are lasting. So Nixon just looked super old and out of date next to a young, handsome, vibrant and smooth skinned JFK. Nixon actually went on TV with zero make-up. Ronald Reagan was probably the first President to really understand how everything on TV matters and that presentation goes a long way. His acting background went a long way. Knowing something and SEEING something are two completely different things in America
@@youtubecommenter37 I didn't help that he was ill during that debate, either. He had the flu or something like it. If you're not feeling well, I don't know that cosmetics are going to mask that.
Nah, taking money from wall street, big pharma, insurance companies, oil companies, military industrial complex, etc. and then doing their bidding instead of representing the people is what is wrong with politics
It was already over for him. He was expected to win Iowa, and he came in third. This speech was just him trying to downplay the results and re-hype his supporters.
@@TheJman2600 This isn't true. He was in the lead all the way up until Iowa, and he only lost Iowa 38% to 18%. Hardly out of the race. I don't know if you lived through this, but I did, and it was shocking how his campaign just basically ended after being the favorite the entire time. The scream, and more realistically, the negative news coverage, led to him losing a few more primaries before he finally dropped out, but it killed any recovery he could have had after a poor showing in the first state.
No one would elected this fool for anything,, The scream had nothing to do with it.. If he was black like Obola,, he would have been elected solely because of his race... Libturds are such idiots
The irony that by today's standards. His scream would've been the most tame thing any politician could ever do on live television. Now we have people in office who act like total jackasses or just plain assholes on public television, the people don't demand for the resignation of said politician
A lot of wise people believe that individuals need to earn a voice, only because there’s a lot of power in it. But at the same time it’s like, we don’t want to just silence people... it’s always complicated haha. Two opposites and we’re trying to find the middle
Democrats have a standard for decor, professionalism, and manor. Had he been running as a Republican, I've no doubt he would have been elected President.
I doubt very much the scream was what "ended" his run. He only came third in the caucuses to begin with - he just wasn't that popular of a candidate. Of course it makes a good story to blame it on the scream but that's baloney, he's actually exciting to watch or they wouldn't have him featured at the DNC.
It was a slightly different time back then, media talking heads were taken way more seriously when they talked about "presidential behaviour" and limited the options to just soulless automatons that performed according to a script and never acted out of line. ..not that anyone learned from it and applied to current elections.
Howard Dean has contended that it was not the 'Dean scream' that caused him to lose, but rather more his campaign was disorganized that he lossed to John Kerry in 2004. On top of the momentum Kerry had after defeating Dean in Iowa. Some in the media have also admitted they blew the scream out of proportion, which they did.
Even at the time, I didn't understand what was so bad about this. A dude got excited and passionate, let out a harmless 'yell' no different than millions do every week watching a sports game, and yet somehow he was deemed "unhinged" and "inappopriate for office"? What a load of shit.
The more states he named, the more aggressive he was getting; it's like he was going from human to Hulk. Poor guy, and he seemed so enthusiastic and happy at the end. 😩🥺
"We're going to South Carolina! And Oklahoma! And Arizona! And North Dakota! And New Mexixo!..." "Ok dude, calm down now" "...AND CALIFORNIA! AND TEXAS!" "Oh"
In context Dean had expected to do better in Iowa than he did. And there was a runup of weird Dean comments like what he'd said to the LGBTs, "Clinton was acclaimed as the first black president - I'll be the first GAY president!". National Review had a full cover issue "please nominate this man" because those conservatives smelled a weirdo whom Shrub could beat. This looked like a meltdown because - it was a meltdown. Dean sobered up later and was a competent DNC leader, as 2006 proved.
THIS! I remember it when it happened. The MSM freaked out and flushed him down and I was asking myself why was his screaming a big deal lol. MSM was more powerful back then because people trusted it. Trump, however, couldn't be flushed despite multiple attempts.
Bustersword88 it's actually interesting - the kind of media scrutiny that killed Howard Dean actually made Trump far stronger. In their attempts to hit Trump's credibility, they accidentally gave him millions of dollars worth of advertising. It's forgotten that there was actually quite a lot of bipartisan catharsis in watching Trump smack around the establishment candidates back in the primaries. I
Be N S O N yeah. Turned out so well, huh? He sure is doing a great job kicking around those establishment chronies... As they literally are now in power and dividing up our country's public land and structure for themselves.
Because CNN made it a huge story, killed his campaign dead. Dean wasn't establishment enough for them. Notice that just like Bernie that Dean was from Vermont? Apparently this is a problem for CNN.
@@labrocca there is a great YT video about Trump using memes, confidence and overall controversial remarks to appeal to the voters and win the presidental race. Maybe if Dean had created a more rowdy persona for himself after that "Yee-haw",he would have won,who knows?
the news networks just took that scream, sliced out the whole buildup and crowd noise, and basically played it non stop every day for weeks until his capaign was dead. Kerry ended up the DNC frontrunner, and Bush legit beat him on election day.
I don’t think he would’ve had a chance anyways, Bush was able to win the popular vote and the electoral college by exploiting peoples’ fears, post-9/11
The worst part is that they deemed him "Un-presidential" because of that scream. Yet it is one of those examples that show what passion really is. But people seem to be so narrow minded and misguided to even think.
Xian that because you're a brainwashed moron. You've never been so excited about something as to let out some kind of cheer? Lol go back to letting the media think for you.
Man, when this happened I was in 4th grade and had no idea about anything, I thought 'thats politics I guess' Now it honestly breaks my heart, this guy actually looked happy and enthusiastic, and it's pretty obvious that the media just decided he's done, and took anything they could find and decided that it was embarrassing, even though no one cared before the media told them it was embarrassing. Poor guy. The treatment he got is disgusting.
WOW I was in 5th grade and I wasn't into politics at the time but I remember this vividly and thought wow that was cringe. (I guess because that's how the media portrayed it to be at the time) Looking back I see nothing wrong with this he was just enthusiastic and passionate.
I’m a little older than you, my mom was a big supporter of his though and I was perhaps too political as a kid looking back. My opinions have changed much over the years, but neither then nor now do I understand why so many people turned on him over this.
Stop blaming the media. It’s the retarded US populace that’s the problem. If Americans weren’t so fucking dumb they wouldn’t just follow what the media says. The media is a product of capitalism, profits are god so we have to look at the people who buy into it
So odd that the media tried this with Trump a thousands times harder and with much more damning stuff and it didn't affect him negatively in the slightest. But this guy one silly scream and it was over. Makes no sense.
Me too. I came looking for this after Fox News weirdos argued that Kamala shouldn't be elected because of how she laughs. I hope she gets the *_last_* laugh!
@@Blaqjaqshellaq That was true for the Republicans as well … until Trump. If the traditional media had been as powerful as they used to be even a few elections before, it would've been Jeb Bush, who would have politely lost to Hillary Clinton without putting up a fight, like Romney and McCain before him.
This was one of the most manufactured events (and shameful) in American media history (and that's saying something). If a person is attempting to be heard over a jet engine and you cut the sound of the engine so the listener only hears the person yelling like a maniac, that's exactly what they did. Then after playing it 700,000 times, they then went "Oops, we didn't include the fact that Dean couldn't even be heard in the room over the roar of the audience!". They needed something to destroy Dean's campaign. If this happened today, corporate media would have been busted after the minute or so it took someone upload the complete video from their phone. Instead, we're 20 years down the road and the truth still is unknown to most. The presence of context is essential to understanding anything.
The media attending weren’t aware of the scream becoming a meme until the next day because there was nothing remarkable to report. Something about an omnidirectional microphone that doesn’t pick up crowd noises (?). It is a damn shame because Howard Dean is a good man.
@@datsnuffydude5460 They knew. A great cameraperson I knew said that producers on the ground were calling their bosses that night to warn them they were playing the audio without the full sound mix, just the isolated mic. This is a really interesting point, the advancement of technology isn't all positives but the fact that people have recording devices at all times means we can avoid situations like this
Ike Okereke the fact that a campaign was ended by a yell that had nothing to do with policy or the candidate, and in no way showed that the candidate would be a non effective president
For those who don't know: Howard Dean said in an interview with one of the mainstream media programs in 2003 that he was not going to feed or kneel before corporations, and that didn't sit well with the establishment. So, the first opportunity they got, they destroyed Howard Dean.
***** So I saw an interview Dean did with Abby Martin, and let me tell you, I was wrong about the guy. He was admitting that the things he supports were unconstitutional.. I was speechless. I thought I found a moderate Democrat. Boy was I wrong
Using today’s jargon, the media painted him as “crazy” using alternative facts. Same way they make Bernie seem crazy for wanting a decent standard of living for people in the wealthiest nation on the planet.

Different times my friend. If you were to take Bob's burgers and play it in 2004, it would only be on late night cable and even then it would be controversial. And remember I'm talking about Bob's burgers. That's what anytime before 2010 was like.
I'm a right leaning libertarian and I see nothing at all wrong with the scream. Hell, his speech made him look like a fine candidate that I'd consider swing voting for. Certainly better than anything the Democrats have run in a long time. Then again, I thought Dukakis was an alright guy and the media ruined him after his tank foray.
And guess who went on to win the nomination? John Kerry, member of the Skull and Bone Society along with the guy he ran against, George Bush. Isn't that ironic?
So I was 11 years old when this happened, and I never really understood why this sank Howard Dean's campaign. He gets a little excited and hypes the crowd up after a somewhat disappointing finish in the primary, lets out a "YEAH!" at the end of his speech, and that somehow makes him un-electable? Nothing to do with his stances on issues or anything? Regardless of his politics, something as insignificant as saying "YEAH" or "BYAAW" if you're a Chappelle's Show fan should not ruin a presidential campaign.
I know that it's stupid but the media controls a lot more than you think and late night shows and news broadcasters constantly made fun of it so Howard Dean slowly faded away into a joke
+BJMcB92 agreed. This is the first time I've seen this clip and it doesn't seem odd at all. If THIS is why he lost popularity, that's pretty fucking shallow. The Trumps, Carsons, Bachmans, etc. of the world make this clip seem benign.
+BJMcB92 i was eight going on nine then, and remember this too and I found it pretty funny. It's also pretty funny that I'm from Iowa, so here was something that went down in my home state. I also remember the 2004 election representing the first time I really understood politics on any level, being against Bush and being bummed out when he stole an election for the second time. I voted for Kerry in the Nickelodeon kid's pick mock election deal, and he actually won the kids' vote.
i was waiting for the bad part but it never came. I guess big media just tells us that this dude "screamed" and "ruined his career" and we are expected to go along with it enthusiastically because he is not established as an insider
Josh Briere) the scream didnt ruin him. The media did. That scream was played repeatedly across all news stations and analyzed and made fun of (you know how 24-hour news is). This scream turned him into a joke in the eyes of many americans. Its unfortunate, but thats how easily someone can lose credibility in the eyes of the public if the media teams up against them. @@SuperKeyifier You're not wrong. I was in my 40s and it never made sense to me either. The reason the media targeted him was because he was relatively *_progressive,_* and people were loving it. They had to make up something to criticize him for, just like later with Bernie Sanders. And now Kamala Harris (who isn't even all that progressive) is being criticized by Fox News weirdos for how she *_laughs,_* which is what brought me looking for this.
The media smeared him because he was a lot more progressive than a lot of the Democratic Party. Remember this was all over the news. You’re right, it wasn’t that bad, but the media made him look crazy.
this was the only time Howard showed emotion, he was all business up til this point, very popular, with the same momentum as Bernie Sanders. Here he finally starts to feed off the crowd, and lets out that yell that is literally nothing. But the news networks isolated the scream, cut out everything that came before. Inserted the scream everywhere they could, every promo, commercial, played it non-stop every day for weeks until his campaign was over. And now it's like the only thing people remember him for.
That's what I was going to say. I came here from a reddit politicssub bc a bunch of folks were talking about the scream that did him in. I can't help but be very confused?

+cafeterialoca People are still rooting for Trump because hes right on pretty much everything he talks about. He had a few extreme ideas, but the measure to which hes blowing his rivals both in the GOP and among Democrats out of the water in terms of being right, thats what gets people to support him even with his sometimes extreme thinking. How is Trump gonna make people work harder for less money? I...don't see what's wrong with this. I don't know much about Howard Dean but he just seems like a passionate and viable candidate and this clip is what screwed him over?
Niuniu Lai , the radio shows morphed the scream. Made it sound really weird. Then that morphed scream was played over and over. Pretty soon thats all every news station was talking about.
Absolutely mind blowing that something like this actually sank his campaign. To me, his scream showed me that he had genuine enthusiasm for his campaign. In a political landscape where putting on an act whenever you're in public is the norm, of course someone showcasing their authenticity was a threat to other people in power! I don't know his political positions, but at the very least I can tell that his heart was in his presidential campaign... which is more than I could say for most people. Bernie Sanders comes to mind. Like him or not, it is really REALLY hard to argue that the guy is not authentic and honest.
This didn’t sink his campaign. This came after he finished 3rd in the Iowa primary (watch the beginning of the video) which was a big disappointment to his campaign. The reality is that his support was mostly among young adults and that wasn’t enough. The idea that the scream killed his campaign is just a rationalization.
In 2004, I was in my early 20s when I watched Howard Dean screamed and I was puzzled why is everyone make a big deal out of it in the following days. In 2019, I am in my second half 30s and again I watched Howard Dean scream replay and I *STILL* can't figured out why it is such a big deal.
it's the leadup. his bizarre listing of states, with his voice losing coherence. this was a man who had come in #3 after pinning so much of his hopes on at least #2. He knew he was going to lose New England to Kerry (that phony) and that he couldn't run a campaign outside it. The media then, as now, was tight with the D party and the media knew that Dean was a nutball. They were just being quiet about it up to then because, hey, he might actually be the nominee. This scream couldn't be covered up, so it wasn't. It gave the media cover to attack a Democrat and to appear impartial, when they were really in the tank for ANY democrat. Even that phony Kerry. t. Lieberman Democrat in 2004. yeah, my guy lost too.

I think it may be an example of how pathetic the American political process has become. Feed the people bullshit framing and they eat it like pizza. Doesn't really matter Dean turned into a sellout p.o.s. Do you remember the Mike Dukakis picture in the tank that ended his run too. Just another example of the birth of Merica.
The media wanted him out of the running. He was doing surprisingly well against their preferred candidates. The scream was just their excuse to ridicule him and try to bring him down a knotch. And it worked.

John yeah. They want someone who's a reality tv star with questionable mental state and a trust fund baby. Grab 'em by the pussy and a small loan of a million dollars. Haha.
My dad was a big Dean supporter, and was at that rally. He said that Dr. Dean was preceded by, among others, a very flamboyant black preacher who totally got the crowd going.
Lol...I would like to think Dean was black in a past life..he is just himself..he does not have to be black to be ready to put people in jail like I am. It is the heart. He is a human being you recognize people of color all the time..not when it benefits you.
So what? Are you saying the "flamboyant" black guy is to blame for Dean getting a little dose of stupid? From where I stand (and stood at the time) looks like Dean poured a shot of stupid for himself. Whatever happened after that, he can eat.
The fact that he lost the election due to a half a second sound byte show that we got what we deserved in terms of a president and the direction the country went/is going.
The corporate news stations wanted to destroy Howard Dean's chances of winning. It wasn't a real controversy it was a fake one generated by the media stations. Read between the lines.
It sounds stupid but some people thought, "if he can't control his emotions like this on stage how could he run a country without his emotions getting in the way."
Plus if you do one stupid thing in politics your opposition will use it to the fullest extent against you and not let it go. Just imagine if that's all you you knew dean for. This scream completely takes away from what some undivided voters could of thought of him.
Honestly, it's because the DNC didn't want him as the candidate. They've always been a lot better (clearly) at controlling who gets their nomination than the Republicans are. He was an "outsider," and they wanted him out and their own guy in, and he wasn't giving them any sex scandals or anything they could use as a hook to get rid of him, so they just made up some bullshit. This scream should have been good for maybe a week of late night comedy bits (maybe a year for Leno) and then forgotten, not a campaign-ending catastrophe. I've always thought a big reason Obama was able to get the nomination and then the election is that he's so controlled and so good at managing his image.
The media destroyed him. They can destroy anybody they want to except Donald Trump. But that's just because everybody has caught on that they have been selecting "world leaders" for decades.
Ah yes, 'cause the media (Fox news) easily destroyed Obama- oh wait. Selecting leaders my ass lol, you guys just want a scapegoat to throw all your problems on. Newsflash, the world is more complicated than that!

The fact that this is a problem is whats wrong with politics.
He had the flu.)
It's probably also one reason that it wasn't widely known at the time of his presidency that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was in a wheelchair.

Niuniu Lai , the radio shows morphed the scream. Made it sound really weird. Then that morphed scream was played over and over. Pretty soon thats all every news station was talking about.
cliff elgin That is such friggin bullshit. I mean the radio shows doing that, not you saying it.
Niuniu Lai It was all media. They only focused on the "yeah", made him sound strange, etc.
+Verbin Weaver he is a strange libtard, he still thinks Hillary is going to be president...lol. Heard him say that today.
+Niuniu Lai Check out Breaking bad watch?v=sGN3SBVIjjA haha at 1:07 you will hear "Howard Dean's" Scream :D
2020 and the scream honestly doesn’t seem like anything anyone would’ve remembered an hour later
That's what makes it even more funny... it ruined his career 😂
Bernie sanders the millionaire socialist is authentic?
The scream made him look like a bumbling foo which is why it ruined him
@@socallawrenceBoth Biden and Trump and have acted far worse than this botched war cry. This politician seem genuine.
Also then believe it or not it was considered unpresidential for a candidate to get crazy or curse or be mean to another politician! Times have drastically changed
@@zimriel bizarre listing of states? He was talking about the next caucus stops and all the places he was campaigning heavily. He wasn't a "nutball", but he was considered "too young" and the big boys hadn't gotten their chance ( Kerry, Hillary, etc ) . How confident the Democrats were that they could beat George Bush Jr.
It wouldn’t be a big deal today
same
He sounds like a wrestler promoting an upcoming event
Omg big fax. He sounds like John Cena trying to be cool or some shit.
Howard "Cheap Pop" Dean.
WHAT?
Snap into a Slim Jim!! PYAAAAA!
🤣
He was pretty pationate, and a fitting candidate. I despise the people who ruined his career.
+JokuRandomPoju ruined it? he didn't have a snowballs chance in Arizona of winning anyway. he did that to get attention and it didn't work such is life
Really? THAT was career-killing?
I know right!? I don't get it! XD
Mr. Bean
Ok, I’ll say it without that part.”This was in the 2000’s, of course the times have changed.”
The media wanted him out of the running. He was doing surprisingly well against their preferred candidates. The scream was just their excuse to ridicule him and try to bring him down a knotch. And it worked.
@@kaberus7565 then Dave Chappelle finished him off!!
It's also the same media posting it that doomed him.
Fucking shameless.
meme
Jesus all christ ...WHY A FUCKING SOUND CAN POSSIBLY RUIN ONE'S CAMPAIGN ? a sound of a scream ..that's just stupid and mediocre ..
I penciled him in BECAUSE he did that.
OMG this was 20 years ago as of today!
Wait, where's the crazy scream that caused him to lose? All I saw is him getting excited!
+Noah Borthwick 0:35
Apparently if your voice cracks when you say "yeah!" your campaign is doomed.
Exactly! Whenever I heard this talked about, you would have thought that he had a crazed, murderous look in his eyes and screamed as if possessed. WTF's the big deal, he was excited and energetic, so what?
+Noah Borthwick We lived in different, more polite times then. the bar has been lowered, and lowered and lowered with Trump.
+Noah Borthwick he came in 3rd place in the DNC later that year and pretty much got shut out because of his little girly scream. It ruined him. Then Kerry vs Bush happened. And Bush won. If you're going to feel the bern like a punk bitch at least research your political party. You can feel my nuts on your face. #feelthejohnson
I'll take the Dean Scream over "Pokemon Go to the polls" any day.
Facts
or the "i always got hot sauce in my bag" one
Hillary was straight up cringe
Exactly
LOL They will never live that down as far as I'm concerned
@@hamadaj8081 the hot sauce quip sends chills down my spine to this day. Painfully out of touch.
who's here straight from Joe Rogan/Andrew Yang?
@@matdan2 Definitely very tame lol, I was not paying attention to the news cycle at this time so this is new to me.
Not being from the US I had no idea what they were talking about... now Im even more confused... was that it?!?
Are you a psychic?
Who's here straight from Joe Rogan/Andrew Yang AND this Hiro Beats comment is the first comment you see?
Me too
It’s really incredible to think we lived in a time when THIS is what voters couldn’t tolerate
I'm confused? Just sounds like he just really wanted to be the President and got very excited!!
How the media ended his chances
And that's Where he Fucked up at...He even knew it
@@cherokeeconcrete1986 He didn't fuck up at all. The media generally favors right-wing candidates because the media stations are owned by rich people and Republicans favor deregulation, tax breaks for the rich, and so on. So when he shouted like that -- which really wasn't a big deal at all -- all the news stations started saying "is he fit to be President?" like he did something wrong. He did nothing wrong at all. In a sane country with a sane news media it would have passed as a non-event.
Way to emotional for a man. People don’t respect emotional men
@@katrinaellis2378 What is this comment?
📠
Amazing, accepted by one and judged by another
And racist Republicans with hidden agendas that love Europe more and Putin.
We didn't deserve this, mainstream media did this to him because he wasn't part of the establishment like John Kerry was
He lost before this. Then he screamed like a crazy person.
This happened prior to me being born, but just on spirit, I like him.
I don't know why this was a issue. He was just feeling the energy from the crowd. I admire his passion.
The corporate news stations wanted to destroy Howard Dean's chances of winning. It wasn't a real controversy it was a fake one generated by the media stations. Read between the lines.
Any other country: “hehe that was funny...”
USA: “your life is over...”
Pretty sure everyone was making light of it in the USA and laughing. That was the problem though, he became a joke in people's eyes.
This was actually a dope speech. I laughed at it as a kid but didn't understand why people didn't vote for him due to this
a dope speech? my man said how happy he was to come third and then just started listing states
@@imamoronand9199I heard, that he's never gonna give up, and do what he can. What did you watch
I just remember Chappelle....BYAHHH
Even as a KID, @wabdih, you had more sense than an awful lot of adults today!!
Howard Dean made a fool out of himself!
I really don’t see what the big deal was
It wasn't bad at all... Just sounded like he got a little excited.
This guy reminds me so much of Andy Bernard from the office for whatever reason
Oh I can so just sit here and cry!
i'm dying..lol
Same, I think this inspired the andy character
David Niemynski yes
@David Niemynski. So true. Damn, you nailed it.
Why exactly was this a big deal?
+M Theory Enthusiast yeah actually like nothing happened at all...what was wrong about it?
+jd1060 hahahaha
Because its funny and he sounds like an idiot you humorless fuck.
kaiser soze except he doesn't sound like an idiot, he sounds like he's hyping up a crowd
+jd1060 Right, he was said to have 'imploded.' In comparison to the current bunch of candidates he almost seems chill.
20 years ago today
Wow bro that's wild
does anyone even know why this ruined his run? seriously
This scream completely takes away from what some undivided voters could of thought of him.
wow
holy fucking shit, i dont even have words for that.
The media ran this 24/7. They were talking about it for weeks.
0:34 for your replay pleasure

What's wrong with this?
The media destroyed him. They can destroy anybody they want to except Donald Trump. But that's just because everybody has caught on that they have been selecting "world leaders" for decades.
See this was before Trump was a thing so you had to be a perfect politician and not show any emotion.
Ah yes, 'cause the media (Fox news) easily destroyed Obama- oh wait. Selecting leaders my ass lol, you guys just want a scapegoat to throw all your problems on. Newsflash, the world is more complicated than that!
Lmao dude ur dumb if you don't think the news plays a critical role in selecting our presidents and politicians
Xtreme Anime I agree, media has been playing a role in presidential elections since (at least) the third election for president.
just a friendly reminder that 2004 is to 2016 what 1988 was to 2000
holy shit. haha, that puts it into perspective
Mr. 2004, I worked with 1988. I knew 1988. 1988 was a friend of mine. Mr. 2004, you are no 1988.
So in 2028 when a candidate lights farts at rallies and wears the North Korea flag as a cape, and can still get elected POTUS, we'll long for the days of normal candidates like Trump and Hillary
By then the US will be a banana dictatorship. No more elections.
